1080p blu-ray movies on 47" HDTV doesn't look perfectly detailed. In my opinion 1080p isn't full hd. A 60"+ 4K tv would give perfect detail. Personally I'll be going for LG's 84" 4K tv. Now that will give you a true full high-definition experience.

finally something good that offers 3D! the one bad thing for me with 3D is that all the glasses have tinted lenses...wtf! who wants to watch something with lenses that dull any colour?! without having to use the glasses sounds great! i knew Sony were developing one but had no idea it had come this far, i wanted to get myself a 3D soon but i might just hold out for something like this, any idea on price for the UK?

that resolution is so high you could probably sit about 2.0 meters away and use it as a computer monitor @ 55" it would be a very similar pixel pitch to a 27" 1080p monitor.

@Demov12 Lol a millionaire? When HDTV first came out they we're about the same price 10k. 900k yen = 11850 USD. We when from 480p to 720p and the cost was tremendous. Now it's 1080p to 2160p with high-end models still ranging from 3-6k this is pretty cheap unless you have no job or work part time at mcdonalds.
