Check out the wikipedia article. 4:12 radio edit, 5:56 album version. The music video version is actually 5 minutes and not 4:12 as noted.

On radio in the 1980s when I heard this for the first time, it was the 5 minute or 4 minute version. It definitely was not the 6 minute version.
