The CCXR is faster than the CCXR Edition in a straight line. It has less drag. But THE Edition will win around a track. Either way they are kinda gay just because they run on biofuel. But I love the other Koenigseggs. CCX Edition FTW!

It is gay because it is used as an "alternative fuel." It is supposed to be cleaner. But it isn't. On the power side, yes it makes more power. It has higher compression. But then again so does leaded race gas.

Koenigsegg say them self that the ccxr tops out at "about 420 KM/h". The Bugatti record is at 407 KM/h. I can´t wait until they try it out on Nardo.

And btw, haven´t the ccx done very quick lap on Nurburgring too?

the first koenigsegg's the cc8s and the ccr was capable of 0-60 in 3.2s with a mid mounted supercharged v8. with a top seed of 242mph (ccr). but do to the lack of a rear wing it was hard to reach that mark with out getting unstable and liftoff. anyone has any more questions let me know i have a huge super car book that has supercars in it that are not even in production yet. and many more books

VW has a stigma to it that will be extremely difficult to overcome - it's called the BEATLE. Those things were popped off an assembly line in Mexico and pumped across the border. That is in the mind of the American consumer to this day. Even though there are great looking VW's on the road today (i dont own one), it will take a long time to get away from that image that the consumer has in their mind's eye.

Sorry, but you are WRONG on the BMW being the fastest road legal car on the Nordschleife. It is not. The Radical SR8 holds the record with an astonishing 6:55. And yes, the SR8 is road legal. The video of that ride is on YouTube BTW. :-)

I don't understand what you mean. I don't own a SR8. But it's still road legal. You can buy it and use it on the road like the BMW. And it's even a production car, because the BMW had to be tuned to be that fast, the SR8 is that fast without tuning.

I actually worked with Saleen on a brief video review segment, and I asked their PR folks why they don't toss one Top Gear's way. Their response: he's too unpredictable. They're worried it would get bad press just because it's an American vehicle; we all know no US made car will be good enough for him, so i suppose they figure why waste their time.

That reason doesn't fly. Though Clarkson will probably find a lot of problems with it, if it's holds its own, Clarkson will say that. He gave the Z06 it's props and the Ford GT. He even loved the Viper! It was shaded with criticism but, the respect is still there.

The Zonda isn't the meanest car on the streets by any means. It uses a mid-engined Mercedes-Benz V12, but with a lighter and more balanced platform (because its mid-engined), than the CL65 AMG that it came out of.

The engine from the Zonda does not come from the CL65. The Zonda uses an older 7.3L V12 that Mercedes made in the late 90's. The engine was in the R129 SL73. I guess it's been updated over the years, but it's not a CL65 engine.

The CCXR already has around 1000BHP, so why need a Special Edition...? The few of the difference is the spolier and the few more horse power. And bow cars run on the enviromentally gas.
