Bands such as BMTH and AA aren't hardcore and anyone who has any knowledge of the genre will know that. However you can't argue that they help promote hardcore as a genre as kids get into them then go into other genres such as hardcore. No matter how much you hate them without them there would be much less HC bands around and we wouldn't have such awesome music.

I really like More Than Life, I just discovered them 20 minutes ago and they're sweet. They're just a perfect sound of melodic hardcore and I really like the vocals because they're fucking raw and don't upstage the other instruments. They remind me of a much more hardcore and less metal influenced Parkway Drive, but both bands are awesome. Great band right here

Come on guys, music with death- ier vocals is not devoid of emotion, though it may be a little harder to convey. Having breakdowns does not make a band bad musically. Misery Signals has breakdowns, and look at their musicality. I am an avid fan of any -core genre. Melodic Hardcore just happens to be my favorite

Real bands like More Than Life and Dead Swans need more recognition because they put out real emotional songs like this one. I think that Asking Alexandria actually have some good songs though, even though they are a lot about the image and the whole scene thing. I can appreciate both the popular hardcore/metalcore bands and the smaller bands like this, they both can make good music.
