First Survivalist I've seen on YouTube to include a rat/mouse trap in his survival kit. Rodents are plentiful if unappetizing. Most wannabe survivalists include snares, fishing line and hooks - be serious. First, in an urban situation try to find a body of water that is unpolluted with fish in it. Second, I could give 95% of people the best, high-tech fishing gear available and THEY WOULDN'T CATCH ANYTHING. And snares?!? Please. Stop basing your survival on strategies from 50 years ago.

Cody shows again. Its not about a lot of money or high tech equipment to be prepared for low live. Just a bottle of bleach and a few common basich foods that are easy to store and cook. Add a torch, radio, batteries and some water container. Even me in two rooms appartment can be prepared like this for whatever happens.

Another good use for bleach: In the event of a disaster concerning chemicals, be it a chemical attack such as by terrorists, or a quantity being released due to say, a fire at a chemical plant or other such scenario, bleach can be used to clean up items contaminated with it. Needless to say, don't do this to yourself. Use charcoal to clean skin.

I really believe that preparations for a disaster is highly underrated. It is So important, people. In the old days people lived survival: tending the fields, hunting, etc. and now we live our lives by OTHER people working FOR us: farming, garbage men, all labor jobs (etc.), and we've forgotten how to survive on OUR OWN. Learn some basic skills and techniques and have a survival kit for you family, just like a first Aid kit, just in case. Peace Brothers and Sisters of Earth~

@MultiCrisper That's just Cody. It's his own personal survival philosophy. Not wearing shoes forces him to pick his steps and take it slow, which allows him to pick out things most people would miss. His philosophy is "work with nature for survival, not against it." He does wear sandals and even boots as the terrain or situation requires.
