Strangely enough I have the same recording as you do with the Mendelssohn violin concerto on the reverse side. Both are extraordinary pieces of great music

65 years ago, when there were not yet CD's but 2-sided records, this Bruch's concerto always used to be on the other side of Mendelssohn's violin concerto in e-minor. My parents had hidden the record in the attic, because Mendelssohn was forbidden under the nazi government in Germany, 1944. Whenever I hear this music, the mysterious atmosphere in the attic comes to my mind!
