I only usually talk about religion to those that either directly attack it or if they comment on what I write in the comments section. I stop commenting at a certain point. It's a good move on your part because you gain more subscribers respecting all groups than respecting a limited one.

I would have to agree. When I first became an atheist, I attempted to deconvert my mom, which only started arguments which harmed our relationship. I've since realized that it is a fruitless endeavor, and it may even be a harmful one for some people. Religion, in its modern form, is relatively innocuous, harmless, and even helpful. For most people it is nothing more than a benevolent philosophy with some untenable metaphysical and epistemological claims, nothing more.

such has also been beneficial. All faiths have their extremes. I as a Christian don't want to be a part of the hateful extreme. Church is a community and should not be a judging body. I believe a Christians should have their personal walk with God, letting their experiences on Earth help guide them. hopefully their church does the right stuff: charity and healthy communion with those in need of guidance whether they seek the faith or just a way out of their troubles.

In my opinion most likely not; For they don't express their intelligence as much as we do to further question topics. Most animals either spend their life trying to survive, Or (pets) try to spend their life entertaining themselves. We obviously don't see animals praying everyday, etc. So if they did believe in a god(s), like some of us do then we should share that same "belief" in worship. Since in fact, Some animals look up and "worship" alpha animals.

I might still do it, but honestly I don't see the point. My original intent was to show people the kind of religious videos they should be making, but in all honesty I don't think they would listen. They are just to focused on attacking others.

I quite understand. It seems that many people take the path of just shouting whatever bold statements, vitriol, and false science pops into their head that they think would support their claims. It gives thunderf00t a lot of fodder for videos, but does little to impress the people on the fence of the religious debate. However, I still wish there were more people of religion teaching acceptance, tolerance, and love rather than trying to get more church members at any cost.

I believe that if you have to go out of your way to attack someone's personal beliefs it means that you absolutely no faith in your belief system. If you did you would be secure in your own beliefs and faith and wouldn't care what other people believed in.

Yes but when I was in that fundamentalist Christain church I mentioned in the video we were taught that all those who don't believe as we did were going to hell. Thus it was our duty to go and convert.

I hate it when people try to shove down their religious views down someones throat. I'm a muslim and in my religion it forbids that, and I know that cristianity, judiasim, and almost all other religions forbid that kind of behavior. The problem is not the religion itself, but the ignorent followers who don't even understand their own religion.

But she realized that maybe she had been blending in a bit too much when recently a friend of the family said to her "I can't stand those atheists, I'm glad we don't know any!" The woman didn't even realize Mom wasn't Catholic...

Discussing religions does make sense,discussing it's beliefs doesn't.

I hate it how Christian church tries to scare and manipulate people,that was what it was used to do since the beginning of it's existance. I believe there's a huge conspiracy behind it.

However,even if i do not agree with most of it's beliefs,believing in God and having someone with you makes perfect sense,even if it's not like that.

People should simply realize that they should all have their own beliefs.

I was raised as Christian,but my mother was really big agnostic anyway,she just did it to ease me some things...I'm proud of the fact that since my childhood,unwittingly,I've been agnostic.

Religions are unnecessary,however teachings with good purpose should stay,and we should believe in what we think is right.

I think Buddhism is not only a way of life but a religion. You have millions devoting their lives to that religion. To me, it's the most peaceful and pure religion. I think they dont scream and tell everyone they will go to hell for not believing. So that's why they don't get their videos removed on Youtube.
