  • Is Amtrak really going to start running trains into ft myers? They only do that lame bus service to Tampa union station. If so that would be great since I live in Ft Myers.

  • it MAy,but it's very slim chance it won't(IT WILL),for CSX Will be traffic JAMED!! Orlando relocations for Commuter trains,Lakeland's "horn ban"(soon to be),too many rail abandondments,Amtrak rebuilding the tracks northward(to run again),the rebuilt section in Ft.Myers to run Amtrak,and the NEW soon to be Secondary Amtrak-Tri Rail station,and soon to be Amtrak on FEC,WHAT A MESS IT'll BE!!!

  • I've been reading up on the Lakeland Winter Haven development. Quite a project, and it will be interesting to see what changes have to be made. I even remember reading an article about construction of a line west of Orlando, but I can't find it.
