  • Does anyone know where can i download the theme?

    it's sounds pretty cool:)!

  • The music is called "Alien Encounters." You can buy the license to it at CSS Music. Do an online search for CSS Music, and then do a search for Alien Encounters on their website. They have a bunch of royalty-free music that you can use for this type of purpose.

  • it's like a bug and plant battlefield!

  • Think about how it would be If they took over the world!!

    WE WILL BE THERE FOOD!

  • @popcornrocks2 WRONG! even if they were big enough youd have to be so fucking retared to walk into a venus flytrap or jump into a pitcher plant and all you would have to d ois bring a knife and cut your way out its not like these plants can run around or anything.

  • i no there just plants but there kinda freaky

  • jees how many r there??

  • 2:33 that fly is going to have a long drawn out death.

  • wrong. nector glands around the lip of the pitcher scretes a sweet smelling and tasting nector. Enzyes and digestive fluids below devour the bugs. Also the bugs canot excape the pitcher ecause the sides are finely coated with thousands of stiff downward pointing hairs.

  • Sarracenia leucophylla

  • Nice music.

  • Well the pithcer plant does droen them but what lures them are nector glands around the rim of the mouth. There are thousands of doward pointing hairs that make the sides super slipery like a waterlide. Then there are digestive fluids at the bottom.

  • It's weepinbell =]

  • lol i think thats where pokemon got it from. oddish is a plant (forgot which one)

  • 0:33 I think that's a pitcher plant, that gets insects by drowning them in the nectar that lures them.

  • I got interesting.

  • i think the plant on 2:11 is a sundew

  • yes it is a cape sundew

  • Look at 1:31 that's cool

  • cool man! thanks this great movie!

  • what is that plant in 2:11

  • That's The Sundew (Drosera Capensis)

  • i bought these things where you grow these i got the one on 2:11 and the packet says its a lightening plant

  • that is what a sundew is

  • that is a octopus plant, i have 1, you can buy them at a science center

  • Pitcher plants are non active as sundwes and venusfly traps ,Pitcher plant's don't move ,The flat the thing u pointed out . Has hundereds of stiff downard pointing bristles that force the insect down ,

  • whats the plant that curves around the insect? the one with the bubbly looking things on the ends?

  • That is Drosera capensis, also known as Cape sundew. It's native to South Africa and grows very easily in cultivation.

  • @norine827 , it's called the Sundew Carniverous Plant.

  • 2:11 is the most horrifying death

  • howcome?

  • WOW

Thank God im not an insect neither a human with the size of an insect. everything would be your danger. specially these plants

  • nice music. what is this?

  • Alien Encounters by CSS Music. They got tons of music that you can use royalty-free. You just need to pay a small licensing fee for each music you download from them. After that, you can use it in nearly all non-commercial capacity.

  • runescape music :P

  • nice work! =)

  • Whoah....At 00:55 it looked like a fly grave yard. lol :) Cool vid.

  • it was it was *tear*

  • whats the name of the last plant ?

  • Drosera prolifera

  • O__O Do you know where can I get a Drosera prolifera? Never heard of it.

  • cobraplant (dot) com

  • It's weepinbell =]

  • nice XD

  • good one. lawl

  • gawd wat if u drank those liquid thingys from a pither plant?!?!?!?!?!

  • Actually, some cultures DO drink the fluids of pitcher plants (no kidding). They are sweet and quite tasty, but they drink them BEFORE the top opens (and insects start dropping in). They cut the top lids off with a knife and then cut below the base of the pitcher and it becomes a beverage and cup!

  • nutritious

  • I don't quite think the carnivorous plant world is surreal once you get your head round it. They are just clever little plants, maybe the most clever in the plant kingdom, especially those that employ moving traps, for example utriculariais minute, but it has by far the most complex trap.

  • The moving trap phenomenon is called nyktinasti. Maybe you find it interesting and want to read more blout it:)

  • 02:02 was funny with the fly's head sticking out.

  • lol ty fortht

  • great video :)

  • Nature is Weird, but in an interesting way! Poor thing at 2:46...dying upside down!!

  • a cemetery, muhahahahah

  • haha, a cemetery for insects..

  • I had a few sundews once.

Unfortunately, I had to give them up after my cat decided they taseted good :/

Very good vid by the way

  • wow in 1:11 its icnredible

  • WHOA AT 0:51!

    Talk about revenge...

  • AWESOME!!!

That was just great! I live in Australia and collect carnivorous plants! I only have 5 but they are really cool. I have a humorous video about them. Go to my page and it is called carnivorous experience. You see my hanging carnivorous plant which are awesome!

  • hi i have a sundew that is producing a flower and i was wondering if i am soposto cut it

  • 02:33 was cool

  • I have a collection of Carnivorous Plants, this was very nice to watch.

  • I have a collection just like that! I grow it outdoors and I will move the plants to a bog garden soon. NICE VIDEO!!!!!!!

  • Which plant is that one that seems to wrap itself around the prey?

  • Drosera capensis

    Drosera regia

    Drosera prolifera

  • what the common name of "prolifera", there isnt a wikipedia section on it specifically

  • There isn't an official common name for Drosera prolifera. We call it Queensland sundew since it is native to Queensland, Australia. Other growers have called it hen-n-chick sundew because of how it grows.

  • great pictures the music is perfect for them

  • hey, what's the name of this music and where can i download it?

  • The music is available through CSS Music after you purchase a license from them.

  • I have most of the pitcher plants shown growing on my front pourch in Florida.

  • b-e-a-utiful

  • Wow!!! this is so awsome!!!!!!!!! But how did the dead bugs get on the exterior of the plant?

  • The insects are attracted to the nectar found on the pitcher plant, and then they fall into the pitcher. So those insects in the very beginning are very much alive. I was patient enough to wait around for insects to come by when I took those photographs.

  • :O will these guys eat fleas? This would be a great for people with cats lol put the plant on the floor!

  • Carnivorous plants make poor insect control. Think of these plants as cool looking plants that happen to use insects as a source of nutrients.

  • I wonder What is this video music name ?

  • Alien Encounters

  • i wish my sundew was that healthy...*sigh* there is a reason for the word "sun"

  • Nice.

  • awesome plants+exelent pics.+great music!= AWESOME MOVIE

  • GUYS I HAVE THOSE PLANTS IT IN A HUGE DOME I BOUGHT FILLED WITH ALL THOSE SEEDS IT CALLLED CARNIVROUS PLANTS lol the eat lots of sh*t =D

  • Amazing stills on plants and insects! I wish I could be where you shot them! Click on my username, I got a few amateurish videos on plants and insects too. Most of d insects I shoot are hardly seen w/ my naked eyes, but are quite visible through d lens. . mostly handheld shot with my shaky hands! Just got into it recently and don't resent it a bit. Thanks for sharing.

  • Great pics and such a shame more people dont grow them! They can be so easy!

  • A great video--fantastic music!

  • The Bell Flytrap is my favorite but the giant ones in Africa that sit on the floor of the rain forest are amazing....they are about 5 feet wide in diameter.

  • i praise you, this video was excellent. you did a fantastic job. like proffessional quality, seriously. good work, hope to see more of it.

  • Beautiful but filled with SIN.

    LOL

Or lethal beauty. Or just plain creepy.

    oOx''

  • what are those fuzzy plants with the watery blobs on the end called round about 1.30 of the clip?

  • Sundew. The watery blobs are the traps. Bugs think they're nectar or something, but they're actually sticky stuff that traps the insects.

  • Hi, this is Nazrin. Nice video you got there.

  • I like the Drosera that looks like a Doniea from a certain angle!

  • D. prolifera

  • nice video and great plants!

  • very well put together. It evoked drama and intrigue. great music.
