I thought so too when I saw the first trailer but when that one came out they had just finished filming the movie so .... idk but in the 3rd trailer the wolves actually look much better and more realistic IMO.

Sometimes the final product looks, graphic-wise, looks better than the trailer. Like, sometimes movies are in post-production until the very last minute. That might just be a partially-finished wolf. I'd bet the final wolf (wolves) will have better detail, hopefully.
