Thank you for posting this. I have been looking for this song for so long. Now I can pass it on to my family. This is the type of singing that endures, Passing it on is a kind of worship in itself. I was achild when they were singing these songs and I can still sing them in my head all these years later (but it is such an improvement to hear them instead of me). LOL
It's almost 4am on a Saturday morning and I have been having church all night on old school gospel. These are the songs I grew up on and I am so thankful God let me pass through that time when these were the church songs. They mean something. Praise God!
I remember this song playing on Saturday's while we were cleaning. I'd walk in the kitchen and Mom would have one hand up, the other hand in the sink with the dishes, crying and singing to Jesus.
I can see why she was crying now. He's a WONDERFUL SAVIOR!!! That's why
I'll live for Him always
I'll give to Him always
He's SOOO amazing always
What a wonderful Savior I've found!!!
(BTW - INEZ AND DELORES ARE KILLING THIS BACKGROUND!!!!!!)
What A Wonderful Savior! Yes if it were not for him, many of us would have thrown in the towel a long time ago. I did not know that this song was penned by the late Cora Martin Moore (Sallie Martins adopted daughter)who was a soloist in her own right. Albertina and the troupe do a bumper job on it. Let us not let these songs die out. Bless all of you that post these " Classic"songs because many are blessed by them, and a new generation can discover them!!! Peace to you all.
Interesting fact, when Savoy released "The Best of the Caravans" 2 LP set in 1977, this song was included. But when they re-released it on CD, they cut this song out, presumably because there wasn't enough space for it. Malaco has done song cutting before to a few CD re-releases of old Savoy 2 LP releases, yet other record companies have been able to release old 2 LP releases to CD & not lose songs by releasing them on 2 CDs. Thank God for YouTube, or I otherwise wouldn't have heard this gem.
One of my all time favorite songs by the Caravans... when I was a teenager I saw this perform this song at Turner's Memorial Church in Washington, DC.. it was their first song and it wiped the audience out. Please keep posting you don't hear this type of singing anymore...GOD BLESS
Thank god they are still with us for us kiddies to enjoy. Anyone who is under 40 should appreaciate these artists while they still around. These guys made it possible for those like Tye and Yolanda and others to make gospel music as it is today.
Thank you DaSourcespr06 for this posting. And Jesus truly is a wonderful saviour that I have found. I love this song. So anointed and beautiful and true.
I'm so glad to have a found a wonderful Gospel-loving community on YOUTUBE. There are some wonderful clips, including this one. Even though it's just music and one picture, it MEANS SO MUCH. It showcases a wonderful musical history, that will never come across the music world again.
LOL..it took me so long to post these songs cause i was like..its just a song with no movt. just one pic..but thanks to ppl like my friend Rowoches..i finally decided to put these up! Glad you enjoyed!!
Out of all the Caravan songs, this has to be my favorite. I was just getting ready to post it along with some pictures since I had yet to see anyone post it. Albertina Walker is masterful on the slow songs and the words of this one have gotten me through many difficult days. Keep the posts coming
If this song doesn,t bring tears to your eyes you have a heart of stone

I love Albertina's runs she used to do and they were always fast. Shirley really owe her career to that woman. Lol Shirley looks 12 instead of 20yrs.

yeap..Albertinas runs were on point, I get alot of my sining style from her, not because of how she sounds, but just bc of her sincerity..
