@carbilasion The normal game first plays with Snake on that ship (takes only a few hours) and then as raiden in the rest of the game, and from what i can remember you can choose when you begin the main story if you want to play only raiden's only snake's or the complete story, so you probally clicked the wrong thing. probally something like big shell or so.

I bought it. It's a great deal. You get MGS, MGS2: Substance, and Disc 1 of MGS3:Subsistence (It's the full game, you just don't get the bonus features of Disc 2). All that for thirty bucks. I just finished playing through all three. Loved every minute.
