  • my dad has double fantasy on vinyl and i should be getting it soon. People can say all they want about how great the song "Imagine" is but to me this is Lennons finest solo song

  • vinyl just has a deeper warmer sound the digital i dont even use digital any more anolog sounds much better.with the right turntable and speakers.great album

  • binyl just has a deeper warmer sound then cd.if you have the right turntable and speakers.i have this album great lp.

  • I have the 45 rpm single, it seems like the mix is different, anybody know about this?

  • just one of the best songs ever, that's all :)

  • This really is better than the CD version. I think I'm going to have to find this on vinyl.

  • Hello jd111932! It's CBFALL! Love the entire "Double Fantasy" album! John Lennon still to this day is hugely missed! Man,He wrote some deep but truthful songs! I will always remember and respect him for that! You barely hear those type of songs anymore! :-)

  • @cbfall Yes it is true, Lennon was taken away from us in his prime. I always wonder what could've happened had he not been murdered. At least we have his great music still with us. He definitely left his mark on the world

  • @jd111932 Sure. I have the WAV from the 2007 print of the Lennon Legend CD. Sending.

  • @SlimeTron5000 Thanks! I can hear what you are talking about, the dulcimer and french horns are a lot more audible in this version. There also seems to be a lot more bass on flat equalization.

  • @jd111932 Ok. On the CD version there is an ascending curve during the quiet areas seen on the frequency analysis; it appears there was some sort of treble boost or dithering applied.

  • @jd111932

Too bad his killer is still alive and doesn't seems to regret killing Lennon too. Crazy freak I tell you.

  • I compared this audio to my CD of Lennon Legend. Guess what medium won the comparison?

  • @SlimeTron5000 I'm guessing the vinyl but you never know with these lightweight 80's presses

  • @jd111932 The LP. That Pioneer cartridge had a more responding frequency with the piano, the dulcimer and French horns that has not been heard on the CD rip. I felt these instruments were in my own lounge room. Perhaps vinyl has a bigger RMS level?

  • @SlimeTron5000 That's very interesting. I have no CD version to compare with so I assumed they would sound similar. I'll have to find a CD copy sometime to compare. I have noticed most Geffen masters sound very good. I especially like when the master is good enough to make it feel as though you are in the recording studio. Vinyl may have a larger RMS level, maybe it could be tested
