"Elder Abuse Services" are a joke. When a relative was verbally abusing me, I called several times to a so-called "Elder Hot line". They never returned my calls.

Next, I went to an agency. They acted as tho I were senile and took not action.

Then I asked for a monthly well-being check. Someone came one time then I never heard from them again.

The premise of Elder Protection SOUNDS good, but it does NOT exist. I am 62 now and worried what will happen to me 2, 3 years from now.

I hate all these ONPEA things. They make it seem like child abuse is just....nothing. There's always a kid in it who you THINK is the abused one, but then they turn the camera to an elderly person and make child abuse look like nothing.
