  • COOLEST GUY EVER NICHOLSON. I CANT STAND HOPPER

  • wtf happened to Dennis Hopper in the 80's? he was this chill, cowboy hat-wearing stoner in this movie, and then in blue velvet he turned into a fat psychotic sado machist with a high pitched voice! talk about re-inventing yourself...

  • @guruinmedia I think you mean Dennis...

  • if you look at the scene where the song just starts jack is laughing with the film crew and he is looking away from fonda&hopper :) funny fooking scene hahahaha

  • Fortunately I never saw this movie

  • @anonymusum I first saw it in 1969 when it came out. It was a low-budget counter-culture movie that turned out to be a box office hit and a cult classic.

  • i love him in his helmet.

  • Jacks fucking hysterical

  • Is it just me or do Peter Fonda and Jack Nicholson kinda have similar mouths (and/or overall looks)?

No seriously, the first time I watched this movie, I laughed so hard at that scene. Hanson with that goofy helmet of his and thinking the song went "If you want to be a virgin" xD

  • hippie shit

  • @djflargo

Usually I ignore the banal utterances of the foolish , unwashed, unintelligent pod people who seek to make life miserable for those of us who prefer to 'live and let live'. In this case I say to you in all utter sincerity, in the words of the late great Kurt Vonnegut, "Go take a flying fuck through a rolling doughnut"

  • @TheFringefilms actually, hahahah; I'm glad he hates it. All the bettre

  • on the quality of women at the whorehouse

"these aint no pork chops...they are U.s. prime!!!!!

  • 1:47 needs to be a poster!

  • even if you don't like the plot or acting, you can't hate the soundtrack and landscapes..

  • Indians!

  • oooooh , I got an helmet ahahahahah

  • the scene where u first time see jack with his beauty on his head is E.P.I.C. !!!

  • NICK...NICK...NICK

  • Great movie

  • "These ain't no pork chops, these are US prime!" @ 01:16

  • rip dennis hopper

  • That looks more like a football helmet than a motorcycle helmet. Whatever works, eh?

  • @Seattlecarnut thats the joke, thats why he emphasizes the fact that he has a helmet, he is also wearing a michigan wolverine sweater, a college famous for their football.

  • $350,000.00 was all it took to make this classic film. Nowadays they can spend $350 million and come up with nothing but a piece of CGI shite with no plot or characters. I'm having a very hard time imagining a worl without Dennis Hopper in it. RIP Dennis.

  • @dublinboyo i thought it was much less than that to make easy rider.

  • Rip Dennis!Počivaj v miru Dennis!

  • RIP DENNIS HOPPER

  • Dennis, a memorial Memorial Day. You loved New Mexico after coming to know it somewhat after making Easy Rider. You purchased a place right across the Ranchos de Taos church of St. Francis, and one day I met you on the road in front of your place . I was intrigued by the peace and joy with which you were casually greting passersby. May you rest in peace!

  • I had a Captain America helmet when I rode my Honda CT-70 back in 1970 in salute to this movie. It was this movie that got me to want to hit the road. I was 10.

  • All our cultural icons are leaving. Blu Velveta isn't on the top 100 movies list..........this is!!!

    RIP Dennis.

  • Dennis R.I.P. , thank you!!!

  • RIP DENNIS

  • RIP DENNIS HOPPER

  • RIP Denis dude!

  • Dennis Hopper,R.I.P

  • Get better Dennis.

  • @jojoguitar too late he died

  • dude that's the Holy Modal Rounders... classic.

  • @slye1991 - nope, it's in the original!

  • @ruffledme ...love the bird song !!

  • @slye1991 its a fucking classic

  • @slye1991 have you seen this film? because if you haven't, i suggest you never do, it will be utterly wasted on you..

  • hEY, WHY IS IT THAT GUYS ALWAYS HAVE TO HAT OTHER GOOD LOOKING GUYS WHEN THEY CAN GET THE GIRLS. tHEY AREN'T GAY THEY ARE JUST BEAUTIFUL AND SEXY.Sorry about caps hit that cap thing earlier and too lazy to erase

  • I hope you were joking about the scene that comes later where the guys don't like their long hair and flirting with the women in the cafe.

A better reply to this classic is demanded by you of the STRAIGHT men who made it.

  • One of them must be your dad, bitch!

  • 2:19 When my cousin did that on his "bike" I cracked up.... that's "funny"... he died on his bike.

  • Classic coolness.

  • It's the same the world over, Aphidboy. Now, the car is the star and we can't breath, can't walk about freely and we've become so lazy that we can't walk the length of ourselves. The sooner the petrol(gas) runs out, the quicker we'll recover as a race.

  • basically d'accord, as long as we got moto's

  • Notice how there ain't no damned cars? What ever happened to THAT America? The one with lonesome highways and empty landscapes. Beautiful stuff here. No darned wonder it changed my life.

  • @Aphidboy After all the hype this movie was extremely disappointing.

  • @Novak67766 You know, I agree. Lots of cheap philosophy and dumb lines posing as deep thoughts. I tried and was unable to rewatch it in the Eighties, after I'd grown up. Still, in 1969/70, the Nixon/Agnew years, Easy Rider had quite a punch for our young, impressionable minds, creating a sense of "us vrs them" mentality, where the young were the enlightened and the good. We all wanted to look like Peter Fonda and have open roads with no responsibilities. Sounded good at the time.

  • @Aphidboy As it turned out, Hopper was playing himself ("Hey, man.") Bad acting, witless, tiresome. I remember going to this movie ready to enjoy myself. I left it not wanting to vote Republican, but I certainly did not want to hang out with those two bores (H & F). I remember a lot of them when I marched against that other idiotic war of ours. To them it was like watching a ball game; it was hip. That was a movie, and that was boring too.

  • @Aphidboy yeah in time when we should the least number of cars than ever we have the most, population growth is a bitch on the ecology and landscape, which is why it's good that's it's slowing--at least in the western world (except for the remaining hicks that still think it feasible to have 7 kids like its sitll 1870)

  • @Aphidboy "Notice how there ain't no damned cars? What ever happened to THAT America?"

I think I know what you mean.

There are many more people now. One third more in the US since this movie was made. It's a different feeling now, more crowding, hostility, less courtesy and humane regard for other people. More gadgets, pundits feverishly competing for your attention, helping you forget who you are deep down as they sell you another idea of who you ought to be. I miss -some- of those old days.

  • @eVVVVV You nailed it cold. That's the way I feel, too, as I see this tidal wave of new stuff coming at us

each day. Thanks for the come-back.

  • @Aphidboy Move farther out into the country, I'ts still there!
