really great how the boogie down production team got all these rap stars together ,bass line everything....kool moe dee killed it with >> * i never ever run from the KLUKLUXKLAN and i shouldnt have to run from a BLACKMAN* nuff said R.I.P heavyD
This song attempted to get us together and it did for a while. I'm glad I was a part of this era! But then the east/west coast rivalry came and this movement took a back seat.
I had to play this so much violence is happening in my home town young boy got shot yesterday n he didnt make it. And he not the first we losing our children because of the violence that going on in this small town it sad n scary. Rip to Tay Tay another life gone because of selfishness.
(KRS-One, D-Nice & Ms. Melodie), Stetsasonic (Delite, Daddy-O, Wise & Frukwan), Kool Moe Dee, MC Lyte, Doug E. Fresh, Just-Ice, Heavy D & Public Enemy (Chuck D & Flava Flav) ♥♥
This should have been enough to snuff out the fake, bling shit-Hop of today, but alas it didn't. Well, it has for some, so thank God for KRS, MC Lyte, Nas, Rakim, Black Dove, Black Thought, AZ, Grand Agent, Low-Key, Big Daddy Kane, Immortal, Kool Moe Dee, Dead Prez, K-Rino, etc - these brothers are 100% proof Hip-Hop!!!!
almost 23yrs later & more relevant than ever. i truly hope to see the death of this modern empty-v, blingjiggy pop hop & a renaissance of tru hop. damn, i was 14 when this dropped & now we've got mallrats thinking that all this nellyakonblacknyellowfergiesouljahtoyliligaynus stuff is actually hip hop !! liking that pop hop shit is the equivalent of liking vanilla ice in 1991...do your fucking history homework, kids !!!
