I'm glad that they changed their name to T.O.Y. to differentiate their new simplistic synthpop sound from their far more nuanced classic X-Marks The Pedwalk produced Electo-Industrial sound. It's just a shame that they didn't change their name after Thorsten Brenda left the band right after the 'Illusion' album, their last good album.

I imagine it must get terribly boring to have to stick exclusively to heavy industrial music, in the same way that punk's "no rules" mantra is itself a very restricting rule that makes you sacrifice a lot. At some point you must start to want to enjoy some melody and hooks.
