Well his eyes I never saw as he was wearing a veil and had just way too much light around him that you couldn't exactly see him straight, maybe that's why they say he has a face of lightning.

Anyways, just having him there was and is still beyond belief to me yet I know it happened. I must have been a very pure child at the time. Maybe he wore that veil to not scare a child.

Why did Mary worry that Jesus was insane? Remember, this took place 30 years after Jesus' birth. Yes, Mary knew that Jesus was the Messiah, but that does not preclude Mary from worrying about Jesus, especially in the fact that the nation of Israel was not, for the most part, recognizing Him as the Messiah and the fact that there were surely all kinds of rumors about Jesus being demon-possessed and/or insane. Even a person who was visiting by an angel can, 30 years later, have worry and doubt.

Why did Mary not understand what Jesus said in the temple at age 12 (Luke 2)? Joseph and Mary had been frantically searching for Jesus for several days. It would be understandable, then, for Mary to be stressed and confused upon finding Jesus in the temple. A few days with little or no sleep and lots of worry will leave anyone with a diminished mindset.

I never said it was in the bible, I just claimed that it is UNDERSTANDABLE that Mary was to be stressed and confused when finding Jesus at the temple, since probably, they had little to no sleep at all during their search.

Mary worried of Jesus because she is her mother, and women tend to have that instinct of worrying about things. Ofcourse that Jesus was okay, but Mary had that motherly feeling of always being on Jesus--and now that he was gone for a bit, she was stressed.

Isn't the message that Jesus taught us one of unconditional love? Our ego is what caused our fall away from God. Putting our ego aside is our way back to oneness with God. In Luke 2:49-50 you missed the part where his mother had told him that they had been worried and looking around for him everywhere. it is not that they did not understand that God was Jesus' Heavenly father. Nor did Mary forget about seeing Gabriel. What they didnt understand is why Jesus was what he ment by being IN his fathers house. It's the ultimate religious contradiction, if god is infallible, and he's responsible for 'inspiring' the contradictory, evil, poorly written bible, then he's pretty fallible. This 'message to us all from god' is particularly poorly written, contains apparently justified unspeakable attrocities, and contradicts itself many many times.

Either at least some of the writers are lying, or they're very very mistaken on these 'facts to live by'.
