  • Gringos culiaos buenos pa gritar, cagan todo el misticismo de la canción.

  • Just simply...a very beautiful song to listen to. Nothing beats a Tool concert live. Just beautiful artwork visually and aesthetically. Just beautiful. Some of the most memorable concerts I remember in my life is this band in 2001 at the Garden and in 2006 at the Beacon Theatre.

  • I love it when the members of tool realize what they create...when they perform live...they are like all of us sometimes....just going through the motions. But then they have a performance like this and it wakes us up & them...we all get down and depressed..but thanks to art like this we snap out of it & increase the quality of our lives...or at least get the chance to choose something positive & run with it... thank you Maynard, Adam, Danny & Justin for doing what you do.

  • r.i.p. eon

  • try to understand them and after that they seem no longer cool.they become one univers for you to sink in.

  • we made a hella riot by the front :P

  • I want to see them live so bad, a friend of mine saw them at bonnaroo when he was on 6 hits of acid.

  • beautiful

  • amazing

  • you stupid namimbi how dare you, you are less than nothing making fun of the greatest guitar player of all times, die pezzo di merda fliggio di puttana ...

  • So powerful. I feel like he's talking directly to me.

  • thats a lot of fucking music for just three guys on instruments

  • hahaha adam jones fucked up, he's still bad to the fucking ass!

  • ahahahyeah it hapens but hes sfuckin the sickest

  • for some reason, since I can't see maynard's face when he's talking, I'm picturing Hannibal Lecter in my head.

  • That's precisely what maynard wants. He doesn't like to ruin the feeling that he is trying to express by allowing people to be distracted by his face. There has always been an element of mysteriousness to Tool, which would not be there if Maynard and the guy's had lights blasting in their faces which would reveal a more human-like presence. Tool, as a whole, as well as Maynard as an individual performer are.... somewhat Alien-like. But, Maynard is NOTHING like this outside of Tool.

  • You mean he doesn't act like he is an utter genius?

I'd like to get mesen sewed to him. Back skins. Nothing golfy. Pure inconvenience for our dear Maynard/Lanyard. He'd end up despising me pretty quickly but it'd be worth it. I can win him over by doing most of the physical work. Yes, there's the long term. Please tell him to expect this happening. There's a good chap.

  • I'm not sure I understand a word you just wrote. Your spelling is so horrible that I am not sure what words you are trying to represent. lol.

  • It's ok. You're not from northern England so much of my lingo will be lost on you, which is unfortunate for you as the lingo really is the future of the English language. What's more is that Maynard/Lanyard knows this (next album he will refer to the first person as 'mesen'. Just wait!)

  • I used to fucking hate these guys, but I recently pulled out Lateralus and gave it my first listen since it came out and I absolutely fucking love it.

    They really are great.

  • welcome to the sick side :p ......... you matured into it... now understanding the deepness of the songs

  • the crowd it too loud

  • be patient....

  • 4:53 now THAT'S art! lol

  • OMG the FLYING GRAPES OF DEATH!!! NUUUUUUUUU!!!!

Ha ha otherwise a freaky awesome song my favorite song on lateralus along with other songs from the album..

  • I ALWAYS thought The patient is one of the best songs on 10,000 days, along with Vicarious

  • The Patient was on Lateralus, Vicarious is on 10000 days. Sorry to pop your bubble.

  • You didnt pop a bubble at all. You were just being a prick like typical internet people

  • Lol, sorry, I wasn't trying to be rude, I was just telling you you had a song out of place, it's a simple mistake. Talk about me being a prick. =P

  • It was a simple mistake, Sorry man. I usually play tool songs mixed, and with Lataralus and 10,000 days, i get it mixed. Sorry, Lets just bury it. Internet beef is lame. So lets just be fellow tool fans

  • Sounds fine to me, I never had a problem. I think my sarcasm is misinterpreted as typical idoits on youtube. lol

  • Well if you wanna talk Tool, you are talking about an art wich is held highly among those who appreciate it, so tread wisely my friend. And know your albums, lol

  • Uh.Ok

  • I'm just givin you shit man, no biggie

  • I know man, Its all good, I actually laughed, I just dont use internet abbreviations to show it. Thanks though. Its hard to tell sarcasm and such online. We're all tool fans, and I know if someone screwed up a metallica song/album, Id correct them too.

  • Yeah, it's kind of funny but also true that Tool is like art and its fans are like collectors. You gotta be at least somewhat familiar with all of their works.

  • Adam really really messes up on 4:52 - 4:57

  • @musicman1783 Yes, Adam Jones did screw up on during that part, but you got to understand no musician is perfect and do make mistakes from time to time. This is probably one of the verry few performances I've seen him hitting the note a bit low or high

  • Part of what makes Adam Jones riffs so amazing is that he turns such a simple thing into something beautiful so for those that said this is easy on guitar you might be able to play it as can i but you couldnt write anything close to this lvl

  • Exactly. Too many people look at the technique. True art is not about technique. Sports are for technique. True art is about expression.

  • Sports can be an artform too ya know. Sit down and watch a good soccer/football or basketball game and tell me thats not art. Most of the greats consider their game an artform.

As a fellow Jayhawk fan I know Danney Carey understands this too.

  • fuckin awesome, they take music to a whole nother level, not like alot of mainstream my girl left me shit that's usually on the radio, they're music get's down to the core of being a human, genius

  • Thank you Tool for your art for which I can escape from my "day to day bullshit."

  • Good intro speech by Maynard

  • lol Adam fumbling up @ 4:55.

i didnt know that he made mistakes!

  • You obviously missed that i was being facetious.

And I would never say "Maynard is God"...I would say "Maynard is A God"

    once again facetious.

must you take everything so literally?

  • yo man, fucking chill....

  • dude you're a dick, illumination

freedom of speech man. fuck off!

  • yeah i heard that i was like whaaa? lol sounded death metalish kinda haha!

  • I went to my first tool concert in 99 not expecting much blew my fucking mind, been to see them ever chance I get since. love em.

  • They are the best rock band ever!

  • best band from any genre

  • to any music lovers who have never seen TOOL in concert, you have still never been to a concert... thank you TOOL

  • Might wanna check that cause after he thanks the crowd they play...wait for it...Eon Blue Apocalypse. Awesome songs. Thnx for posting this

  • are does "balls" holograms or ballons??

  • I think they are large balloons hung from the giant star.

  • Tool is like a modern day Zep IMO... THIS IS THE GOOD STUFF

  • Beautiful.

  • does anyone else think at 4:40: 5:10 he looks like the people in schism vid? =P

  • I thought that too!

  • No..those who think this song is easy are more skilled then you. 'Cause it's not a challenging song to play on the guitar.

The drums though, damn. I dont think Carey's ever written something simple in Tool. even if it sounds it :P

  • I dunno man, 5 min of plucking out that little riff and my wrist locks the hell up... I suck though lol.

  • you who think this song is easy are fucking idiots. If you play guitar and ever secided to look the tabs up for this song you will see there is a shit load of artifical harmonics. That are exptremly hard to get good at lol soo it's easy to mess up on them cause you have to be careful while playing them

  • Damn this is an awesome concert, I really want to see them live, but no not yet lol, for now I watch them here which is pretty fuckin cool too, thanks for posting this video scorpion.

  • Its 100 times better live my friend. before the show i seen adam and danny were messing around with the sound check and it felt like my chest was going to cave from the bass, very intense!

  • This is the best concert I've ever been to.....period

  • fuck you..that was awesome

  • I meant the part where Adam fucked up. The rest was great.

  • I know the visuals are awesome, but why must all bootlegs cut to the visuals for extended periods of times in the parts where you want to see the band? eg When Danny's about to do a massive roll it cuts to the visual, I mean, fuck, it's so annoying.

  • hahaha thats such an easy bit to play as well

  • adam jones messing up. it happens oh well, its not that noticable once he makes up for it. even the great bassist Les Claypool messes up now and again. to me it's almost comical to hear them mess up because it rarely happens.

  • Eeek. Yeah that was bad. But oh well.

  • haha yeah to the guy below. adam :[

but for the record he didn't have the "mandala" pads back then he used Simmons pads with tabla triggers ;]. dont crucify me

  • :0 adam jones fucked up. heh heh, dont crucify me, tool fans, for i am one of you. just sayin...

what an amazing song, i like the sounds danny carey got at the beginning of EBA with the mandala pad

  • day to day bullshit

  • good video

  • Saw them in sydney on the 24th, it f**kin went offfff!! Opiate Live...JOY!!

  • I praise Maynard. To me he's a god lol, Tool has helped me see the world from a different prospective and I thank them =) ....Sad tho I doubt they'll even bother to come to Florida ='( but then again hey who knows =D

  • That's exactly what Tool is to me, to see the world from other points of views. To not be constrained by prejudices or ignorance, and to accept that there's more to this place than what meets the eye.

  • yeah man! this song just like many makes my skin crawl and I get this knot in my throat and I just want to let out my feelings. It's like he wants us to respond to the world like it wants us to, to just let ur mind wonder in space and anazlyze ur thoughts and see what we weren't seeing

  • absolutely, you are one of few on my freuency. im from chicago but willbe in san diego in march for tool show,be there !

  • peoria june 20th yesssssssss

  • Great song, i could have done without the shots of the visuals tho, but hey, thats just me.

  • Great show!

  • DANNY CAREY!

  • He was, the full download fest is coming over here ;) its at slain castle from what iv heard .

  • Just Saw them yesterday in the point depo in Ireland and i have to say it was the best show iv ever been to in my life. Heheh the lazers were deadly :)

  • Yeah best gig ever. Hope Maynard was serious bout coming back this year.

  • I cannot describe how amazing that song makes me feel. This shit is concentrated awesomeness.

  • so amazing- everything they do is well thought out-designed to create a mood like no others out there-such a treat to see them-will change your life-

  • you gotta love maynard's dance

  • fucking awsome

  • adam has a unique approach to guitar playing

  • www.niroband.com... Get the 2006 album for only $5

  • adam made a mistake, so what. i would make a mistake if i saw some guy in jocks try to break his own spine using his own spine.

  • They all seemed a little happier, and Maynard actually came back to the front of the stage for a good chunk of the show. If anyone out there has the opportunity to see any shows in the second lap, or Stadium round of the 10,000 days Tour 2006, GO! God damnnit- you call off work or find a babysitter and you fucking go to that concert.

    Thank you.

    Michael

  • The band called off the previous three shows to the 21st in Columbus, Ohio due to illness. For that reason alone, I feel the band really wanted to Fucking rock the shit out of the crowd, harder than usual, to kinda get back into the swing of this tour. By god they fuckin did it. Over two hours of show, including a five song encore! The stage presence was amazing this time around.

  • TOOL is tha SHIT! ive seen em 5 times, fucking bad live!

  • This band is what you'd call an All Star band, they play life changing music and don't give a flying fuck if anybody really likes it or not, you either get Tool or you don't, take it or leave it.

They still (for me) hold the crown for the most intelligent band on the planet at the moment, purely for the content, depth and technicality used and shown in all of the songs. Pure quality.

  • couldnt have said it better, TOOL is tha Sh*T!

  • There's no way any band can top this tours performance, setlist,or stage props- not even TOOL themselves

  • I have to disagree Flybry1. I just saw TOOL on the 21st in Columbus, 2006 and it by Far was Thee best concert Ive ever been to. I've been to several Tool shows in the last 10 years, and I thought the same as you for a while about the Lateralus tour- then I experienced 10,000 days.

  • uhhh, not to be mean to Adam, i love Adam Jones, but just liek teh video of Maynard cracking his voice..well at exactly 4:52 they go into the chorus but he nails the wrong note (normally you would start on the 3rd fret go open then the 5th to 7th/8th fret fret but he hits the 5th fret then goes open then hits the 3rd fret back to the 5th and then 7th) but recovers...i was just watching and thinking what sounds so off here...hes only human and i knwo that, no ones perfect

  • They make mistakes, as all humans do. Having toured myself, I know how stressful it can be-both mentally and physically. After experiencing that, I will never judge a band by making an error on stage again. More importantly, the music Tool plays is filled with dynamics, odd time signatures, and is fairly difficult to reproduce. I think given all those factors, it's not such a big deal at all. Not that you were making it one, but perspective is important. Also, this is an absolutely amazing song.

  • oh i agree with you IDN 100%, i just kind of went, "oh, no!" ...lol..no big deal at all, but have u ever seen the video of Maynard when his voice cracked in teh song Parabola?..eveyrone made a big deal about it......and yes ths is an absolutley amazing song live, i've seen them like 4 times and everytme they play this song i litarelly get goose bumps lol

  • he's looking at danny for a visual cue.

  • Hey man can you give me the name of the vid where Maynard cracks his voice couldn't seem to find it. Sorry to reply to such an old comment, but I'd love to see this just for trivia sake.

  • just look up [ Tool - Maynard's Voice Cracks ]

  • Every live video I've seen from this concert has just been amazing, especially the H. video...

  • this was actually really good quality. I want to know how the hell people get cameras in to concerts.

  • i know, how the fuck do you do that? smuggle the camera ion peices, put a peice in yoru shoe, your hat, i duno good question though because i know everytime i go to see a concert you got people patting you down when you enter.

  • was thinking the same thing....where do u put it?

  • damn i love this song TOOL rocks \m/

  • one of the greatest pieces of art of all time

  • jesus, everyone of these live videos kicks ass

  • I am flying from south africa to paris to see tool at the zenith on 26th june, very exited!

  • congratulations! how'd it go?

  • sweeeeeeeettttttttt

  • can pass for a music video..nice steady hand.
