  • Hi James!

It's really not something I can answer. As you stated it's been too long. Send me an email anytime though. I've starting login into YouTube again and will catch with people here more often. Thanks.

  • sorry about so many comments but also should say mine is a t2040d. have no idea what is different between the t2040 and t2040d. also wish the screen was a little more bright and shiny instead of the matte finish they used it seems. guess has something to do with the wacom maybe.

  • i know this is 5 years old and you probably don't even have it anymore but you can have scroll on the mouse pad by going int he mouse settings and turning on. can also enable the top corners to do stuff when you tap there too. i have mine set to have the scroll on the right and and the top left the middle click. also don't have finger scanner so have a scroll there too.

  • this is not a bad computer. might get another GB since only has 1 GB ram. don't have the cd/dvd drive but have another battery instead.

  • ORTEGA...is there an ipad killer anywhere?

  • Great review! +++

  • thank you Sir, great review!

  • bleh i hate t4020...the keyboard keys comes off easily...2 of it came off my t4020 and the battery life is terrible...

  • Sorry... last thing..... . Do you know if other stylis are compatible with the T4020? Like the 4215 stylis? Maybe one that has an eraser.. unlike the default?

  • Great review! I have one of these. One thing....It's a AC not a DC input. :] Ok.. that's a little picky of me. The Screen doesnt push in (Great screen)... It's like hard plastic with a little bit of texture. (slight slight texture) You should get a 10$ screen protector if you have this laptop. This laptop accepts one 2GB ram module on one side. I was surprised. Max is 2. I have 2.5 in it and it recognizes it but, only uses the 2. There is no eraser on the stylis and not touchscreen.

  • is the screen on these tablets glass like? or like a typical lcd of when you push it the screen sinks in a bit?

keys easily breakable if u play spamming games, the flipping locking thing at the top easily chipped, fan vry hot, overall.. VERY FRAGILE,u drop it, 3k gone... blue screen of death etc...

  • i got this

    for school

its okay for the fact that it was a business

    conference laptop

but seriously u can get much better deals frm toshiba tablet pc's

  • The main funktion of the quick release of the dvd-rom isn't to drop weight, but rather to insert a second battery-pack!!!

Therefore it has no coverplate, because it isn't meant to carry the pc around without dvd-rom or 2nd-battery-pack!

  • You can drop-weight and spare-money too by buying a cover. xD

Google for S26391-F405-L100, or read the accessories sheet. ;)

  • Not necessarily true, because there is a plastic filler that slides in and sits flush with the side of the computer....to allow for less weight. Think dude, think.

  • te falta en video version español

  • can anyone help me out with a drawing tablet thats maybe 100-150 dollars and you can see your computer screen on the tablet?(and it has to be 4 windows...)

  • HAH! You're dreaming.

  • yeah... i know. that would be awesome tho. someone already broke the news to me.

  • ebay used "tablet PC". You can find some pretty cheap ones.

Also, I just stubbed my toe.

  • haha,my school uses this tablet instead of books.awesomeness ^^

  • hugo ortega no te entiendo, habla en español plz

  • The HP COMPAQ TC1000 and TC1100 are much better, the lack of speed is no problem!

  • A IGP is not a good thing for Gamers! It's the worst you can get! Inform youself about shared Memory and Integrated Graphics.

  • I feel that some important things were left out, for example: battery life (on high power), if it heats up too much, if the stylus is effective (I've heard of some LifeBooks not drawing at the edges of the screen so well), and how visibility is in the sun. You have to remember this is like a digital sketchbook for some and a lot of people don't want to have to be plugged in or docked; like one commenter said "I wanna use it on the bus". If I used my laptop on a bus it would die within an hour ;)

  • Sorry to inform you. The fact that the arows aren't on the mouse pad doesn't mean that you can not scroll. Take a look in the prefs. for the mousepad and you'll see that you've made a mountain out of an anthill.

  • wow this looks awesome. i want to know is it good as a laptop, as well as a tablet?

  • As a notebook it has a massive processor and takes up to 2GB of RAM. Look at the latest release called: T4215. THe only problem people have is that the screen resolution is only 1024 x 768. Other than that it is a great notebook and battery life (and extended batery options) are great.

  • I just ordered the t4215. I really hope that resolution is not going to be a problem for me.

  • Ok well the resolution is kind of sucky. Hugo, is there any way I can get Fujitsu to put in a higher res screen? Because I heard they fit them with better screens, just not in Australia (I live in Melbourne btw).

  • could u tell me the difference between the t4020 (the one u reviewed nicely :) ) and the recent t4215 and t4220? im not really knowledgeable with tablets pc's and what not.

  • I'm fighting the fight brother! I'm fighting the fight! ;-)

  • Hope they finally turn their attention to the guys who really could use these things in a professional environment, artists.

  • I'm with you on this one Ronny. I think a Tablet could be an Artisits best friend. I always thought that the third-[arty action of using a plugged in Tablet Borad was never going to increase you productivity like actually placing you pen on the work space.

  • Obviously I'm a big fan of the Tablet OS and I can see many excting features and benefits to many sectors. We're still a whiile away from being totally "ink enabled" but with cheaper Tablet PC's and clever software developers, these can end up everywhere.

    thanks for your comments.

  • I use a Wacom Intuos 3 A4 tablet with my workstation, and it is awesome, but if i could actually draw on the screen itself.. yeah.. Sounds like a dream, and to be able to take it with you on the bus and stuff like that... *drool*. hehe. within 4 years it's most likely gonna be mainstream. pressure sensitive tablet technology is getting cheaper now too, so its just gotta work out in our favor soon :)

  • I wish people reviewing tablets would go more in depth on the actual tablet performance. Pressure sensitivity, how many dpi the tablet has, stuff like that. When tablet pc's first arrived i saw it as a huge advance for artists. It does seem that i was way wrong in that respect, and it turned into some business gimick type of deal.. Real shame to be honest..

  • 10 minute reviews become more like show and tell. When it came to artists a Tablet was always overpriced and never justifiable. The "gimick" therefore was the pen feature and it too has fallen short in the business environment due to its premium in price. Cheers.

  • A reduction in overall price will mean a higher exposure and therefore a more widespread apeal. We're getting there!

  • Yeah i hope so too. People are always sceptical to new stuff, and when the new stuff is overpriced.. Thats probably the best tactic for total failure.

Remember back in the day when they were first anounced, the sites said lots of stuff about wacom technology being used, 512 levels of pressure sensitivity and that sorta thing. Now i never see that anymore except for the insanely high priced ones.

  • This review seemed to start off great but I stopped watching when you said that integrated graphics was good news for the gamers; its not.

  • Sorry mate, I guess it only shows how much of a gamer I am - not (I was relating it to the Graphics memory available more so than the card). Glad you enjoyed the bits you watched.
