  • Cinematic titanic

  • I'm not sure I understand why the audience is just laughing nonstop. Oh look Gypsy is just standing there not doing anything! Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

  • @TheEvilConductor I was going to comment with the exact same sentence, then I read yours. I noticed that at a Rifftrax live show too, in person. People were laughing at everything, I mean every little thing. It was overkill and retarded. I didn't smell any weed in or outside the theater either.

  • You know....if those idiots from "Jackass" can get together every couple of years and put out another movie, why shouldn't Mike and the 'bots??

  • boy, too bad that nifty costume went to waste. stupid executive bastards.

  • My god, this footage is in horrible quality! It was fuzzy as hell, I could barely hear anything over the mike fuzz, and the laughing every 2 seconds didnt help! My ears are bleeding now! But it was pretty funny footage

  • Crow can lift 10 tons!

  • I love MST3K but this is why I wouldn't want to watch the movie with a crowd of superfans. They're laughing so hard at fucking everything. Just a cut to Gypsy in the bomb shelter. It borders on mania.

  • 11 people never saw their turtle again!

  • Maybe the show will end up on Adult Swim. They managed to bring back Family Guy and Futurama...

  • We should start a petition to have the greatest tv show ever put back on the air. And if you dont agree just look at all the crap movies that came out lately.

  • @GunsmythFrog They've pretty much already moved on with Rifftrax and Cinematic Titanic. Yeah, I miss the bots, but the spirit of their new projects is the same.

  • The forced removal of this footage shows me why Best Brains mostly chose to keep mst3k out of hollywood, before and after the movie.

  • Love it! Thank you so much for posting this, I've been looking everywhere!

  • Reading subtitles in movies takes away from enjoying & watching the movie. I avoid watching any movie the requires my attention to be diverted to the bottom of the screen to read. Subtitles are annoying.

  • Where can I find the movie anyway? It looks to at least be half-way decent.

  • @shikamaru990 So I noticed your message was a few months ago, but figured I'd still answer your question anyway, lol.I ended up having to order it from one of our cool DVD/Game shops here. No where I looked had it! But yeah, it only took a few days for it to come in. Since then I've seen a copy at Newbury Comics, not sure if you have those where you are, but it's best just to order it if you can. It's definately worth it! That was my intro to MST3K when it came out.

  • @anemicroyaltea69 Oh well, I was thinking more, "Where can I find this in the Internet?", since I live in a place where no one's even heard of MST3K, nor do I have the resources to go out and find a physical copy. Thanks anyway!

  • @shikamaru990 OH HEY!!! This might be a no go too, but I just noticed last night, seriously, probably not even an hour after I replied to you, lol that Netflix has added MST3K: The Movie to their Instant Queue! They have a good chunk of MST episodes for instant but for the longest time the movie was only available on dvd. So yeah, just on the luck chance you might have that, then I'd say just go click it! Other than that, I have no more advice, I wish I did AND wish you good luck. :)

  • @anemicroyaltea69 Yeah, it's a no-go. I live in Canada. Sucks to me me ;_;

  • This is awesome! I really want this to be on the Extreme Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie. That would be AWESOME!

  • Thanks so much. I swear, no TV or movie executive should ever have had any input into this show beyond putting it on the air.

This I hope is not lost.

  • Good Job Trumpy!

  • Uh... Is this particular "hash" of the spud or cannabis variety?

  • Jeez, it's like they had a laugh track on a 2-second loop. The audience cracked up at a character turning their head in an incredibly normal way.

  • I got this movie sadly I don't know what VHS tape is on :(

  • If Shout! can get the rights from Univsersal and Gramercy, it would be cool if they could release the movie in a future DVD set and include the deleted scenes and the intro that was supposed to be used for this movie as bonuses.

  • Gypsy: Mike! We're losing air fast!

Crow: So what? Who needs air?

    Mike: I do!

  • They shouldn't have removed this. The host scenes were MUCH funnier in high budget. The amazing shots and angles provided a contrast to the insanity actually going on, unlike the show.

  • OMG WHY was this cut from the movie?!

Incidentally, I was at the con they showed this at. It was exactly as hard to hear as you think it was, but twice as awesome.

  • wasnt there an improv theater group in L.A. that started this?:

  • Trumpy... you can truly do magic things. Thank you.

  • I say we petition for a Criterion Edition release. Who's with me!!!

  • what is so funny at 0:45? Cans of hamdingers?

  • @rinoz47 It's how Joel escaped the SOL- there was an escape pod hidden in a crate of hamdingers all along.

  • @lainiwakura That I know, but what i don't know is what people find so funny at 0:45

  • I have the Movie on VHS... I can also get a copy of " Fugitive Alien " which is very hard to get..

I think it's because of Sandy Frank...

    The guy was a Genius..!

  • when will there be a better view of the deleted scenes.

  • MIKE! I'M COMIIIIIIIIIIING!!!

    Servo's triumphant moment.

  • wow that was alot of laughing

  • Extended edition!

  • GOD damn it, why wasn't all this awesome stuff in the final cut?! I HATE Hollywood!

  • did they film an entirely new ending? that was completely different than what we ended up with AND WHY would they want to shorten a film down to a running time that was nearly 15 minutes less than the average MST episode?!? friggen geniuses...HOORAY FOR HOLLYWOOD

  • Wait, there was a Mystery Science Theater 3000 MOVIE?!

    I MUST WATCH IT!

  • Good luck trying to find it. You'd think the show with the "Keep Circulating the Tapes" mantra would have it's movie readily available on the web

  • @ilikethecoke

yes! its the funniest one! xD

  • Why didn't they put this on the DVD under special features? That sucks (not the scene; what sucks is that we'll never see it for real).

  • "normal view normal view normal view normal view normal view normal view"

  • That was hilarious! Such a shame it was taken out of the final cut. I heard the guys took out a lot of jokes cause they didn't want some not to be heard cause the audience was laughing too hard. After seeing this clip, I see what they meant!

  • See that just shows how stupid the Gramercy executives were. Only a movie executive would consider it bad that people were LAUGHING during a COMEDY!

  • Universal wanted to promote Barbed Wire instead of this.I guess boobies win every time, don't they?? Not fair...I know Cinemax has been playing this a lot!!

  • Hey this is great stuff, thanks for the upload!

  • Head for shelter, men! The Huns are pounding London!!

  • I can't believe this footage wasn't used in the movie itself! What's worse, it sounds like the footage here wasn't saved, so it can't even come out in public on a Collector's Edition DVD in the future.

The execs at Universal AND Grammercy really fucked MST:TM! It could have been a bigger draw had it been given a chance!

  • @itwontbez: I think it's possible one of the cast members has this scene, so I don't see loosing hope.

  • I like this setup better than what we got. A special edition DVD is in order

  • These are really good, actually the meteor shower one is lame but I wish they had included the last one.

  • *as a corny narrator*

Sadly, Scrotor did not make it to the big time as he had hoped, as he had been out of work ever since MST3K: The Movie bombed due to the poor publicity by Grammercy Pictures, as well as the poor effort on the part of Comedy Central to make MST3K more well-known. Eventually, Scrotor landed a bit part in Looney Toons: Back in Action during the Area 52 alien atack sequence.

  • Comment removed

  • awesome that we got to see all of Gypsy

I didn't know until I saw episode 101 that she was a snake... bot... thing!

  • In the pilot episode, they said she also had tentacles! Then again, "she" was a he in the pilot, too.

  • My video store only had one copy...and they probably still has the same damn copy!

  • Same here, and I was the only person who ever rented it!

  • I didn't get it when it came out on DVD the first time, but I did get the video; that's what prompted me to buy it.

  • Yeah.

  • I was there at Convent-O-Con 2: Electric Boogaloo. They also showed a hysterical short which I haven't seen since.

  • I uploaded part 1 of MST3K the movie, but they wouldn't let it go through cuz it's owned by Universal :( I tried though.

  • thankyou for trying

ive never seen the film the whole way through. ive only seen it when it was on itv like 7 years ago or summet. i started watching it half way through and ended up taping the ending, think 'this is brilliant!!!'

  • could somebody please upload the movie... that would be awesome.

  • that would be awesome!!!!

  • Okay, I'll upload it.

  • Why oh why didn't they end it the way they did here?

    "It's a long way...!!"

  • Because the execs at Universal are morons.

  • Why is everybody laughing ridiculously at EVERYTHING?!?!?

  • because its funny???

  • It's the general ambience at the convention. When everyone else is laughing you just must join in and you even laugh at the most stupidest things.

I experienced this myself at other occations - it's great!

  • I actually prefer this over the final footage, which was good, but didn't feel quite as cinematic as this.

  • I love when Crow tries to impersonate a WWII British night guard

    "RRRRRRRIGHT!!!" LOL

  • Why did they delete this? It was funnier than any of the other non-moviewatching scenes.

  • Because movie executives don;t have a sense of humor, it's been known for decades.

  • Guess the Executives who were giving the show money decided to make the movie more wide spread for people who don't know the TV series as well.

But I agree, this is Way funnier XD

  • this should be on dvd.

  • Universal felt they lost a lot of money on this movie (which they did because of their own stupidity). I doubt they'll ever release this footage. Even though it would sell. I would buy this.

  • yeah.

  • That was great! Thanks for putting it up. I wish I coulda been one of the lucky few to see the MST3K movie in the theater.

  • Anyonw know where this is?

  • they could have at least put in a deleted scenes section or left them in the movie they are funny as hell. i wish they still had the show on the scifi channel.

  • join me servo, and together we can rule the world.....that sounds a little bit out of empire ^^

  • Fuck you, why do you think he had to add subtitles?

  • How could they remove these from the movie? These looked funny as hell! lol at Mike's head in Gypsy's mouth

  • say what u want but these robots r bad ass when it comes down to it it sujs its not on the dvd i dont even watch it anymore

  • One thing I loved about the shelter scene is the fact that Crow's arms are working for once.

  • Yeah why the hell didnt they put this on the dvd. Even if its crappy quality. Im a big mst3k head and i was dissapointed that the dvd was bare bones. I should have just kept my VHS copy.

  • Oh wow! I've never seen the deleted scenes! Thanks for posting these! XD

  • That was funny, I can't beleive they were left out of the movie. The shelter scene was great and crow is still my favorite "the huns are bombing london again" great line. MST3K FOREVER!

  • nanoo nanoo

  • These scenes should have stayed in.

  • Thanks again, brainless, stupid movie producers!

  • The shelter bit was great, and the ending was FAR stronger than the one that wound up appearing in the movie. Good stuff. Thanks for putting that up!

  • I went to a "Fresh Cheese" event back in the day, and the mass audience does make things funnier than when you watch them at home. Laughter is infectious. It's true for any show, not just what you're a big fan for.

    Thanks for posting.

  • I don't get it. What is it they were doing with the interociter?

  • They were using it to send Scrotor (the mu-tant) to Dr. Forrester...

  • OMG I TOTLAY WANT TIS!!!!

  • Funny, funny stuff. A shame that these reels were destroyed. But, thanks to the magic of Youtube, they live... FOREVER!

  • @Stedner

Wait, the reels were destroyed? When was that?

  • 4:44, is THAT what Gypsy's body really looks like? o.o

  • we need less people like you in this world

if you'd kindly do the rest of us a favor and just die, we'd be happy

  • This video is from the 1996 MST conventio-con in Minneapolis. This is a huge audience of MSTies who have lives and friends and love to cheer for Mike and the Bots. I don't think they're the ones who need to re-evaluate their lives.

  • are they ever gonna release the movie as a dvd with this stuff on it?

  • I heard that the movie's being (re?)released on DVD and it might have some deleted scenes. Do you think they would be these?

I haven't actully seen the movie, so I'm sure this will make more sense when I finally get to.

Also, the audience seemed to laugh at just about everything. I just thought that was weird.

  • Well they were fans, of course they'd laugh.

As for the DVD, it's not even in print anymore I think. And they'd have to spend money to reissue it. So I really doubt it'll be put on DVD with bonus features.

  • Yes there's a re release. But there are no special features. The deleted scenes were destroyed. T.T

  • Well, I have the new DVD and nope! It doesn't even have a scene select menu. Talk about low rent.

  • I just got it too, that is really annoying with the no scene selection. I did get to sleep to it the other night.

  • Yeah, I have yet to sit and watch it. I love the movie, don't get me wrong, but just like a lot of the episodes I've had on tape for years and years and years, I've watched it so many times, it no longer holds my interest, and I keep finding other things to do.

  • Thanks so much for posting. The shelter scene was especially good.

To all the folks who were making fun of the audience, a film like MST3K is made in a huge part for its fan-base. Of course they will get all the inside jokes and laugh extra hard. There's nothing wrong with that so long as the whole film isn't like that and so long as people who are not die-hard fans can watch and enjoy, too.

  • It beats me why these scenes were cut; the audience sounded like it was about to die laughing.

  • Cool, too bad it wasn't in the movie. Where did you get this?

  • thank ya' Thank ya' !

  • Crow: Mike, did you hit the Hubbel again?

  • Thanks so much for putting this up!

  • Thanks for posting this! The movie studio doesn't seem quite as sinister for wanting to cut these bits, now that I've seen them, though there were definitely some good laughs here and there. Definitely hope some day they're able to make a special edition DVD.

  • Good God, what an annoying crowd.

  • WHY!? Why did they delete the shelter scene!? It would have made the movie longer and more theatrical!

BTW, did anyone else feel that Gypsy always had a crush on Mike?

  • never really thought about that possibility...

  • Grammercy Pictures left the Shelter scene out because they're a bunch of pansies.

  • I KNEW IT!!! DAMN!!!

  • Yeah, Satilite News has all the info on that if you wanna get the comlete details.

  • Obviously the crowd was full of easily-excitable super-obsessive diehard MST3K fans. I mean, those host segments were funny, but not quite that funny lol. Thanks for the upload, i love the movie.

  • Yeah, good god. Not to mention the fact that there's rarely a cut scene that makes you laugh that hard anyway. I remember maybe 3.

  • Someone's gotta stabilize this footage. It would be great to see it these scenes less shaky.

  • Thanks for including subtitles! WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO RE-RELEASE THIS AMAZING FILM ON DVD???!!!

  • Cool stuff.

The asteroids where a nice copy (or homage) from / to Rocketship XM. Great episode of MST - check it out.

  • My Hash!

  • Crow's trying to escape using Servo's chainsaw from the segment with Servo's interositor!!!!!

  • "Mike, did you hit the hubble again?"

  • It's called "subtitles".

  • I guess you don't understand "hard-to-find quality".

  • If you don't like the sound, turn down your speakers, "asshole."

  • Brilliant.

  • I'm guessing this was shot at an MST3k convention, hence the over-enthusiastic audience response.

  • Where did you find this?

  • You had to be there...

  • Thanks for uploading this.

THough I've got to admit the audience must be stoned off their ass to laugh like they did.

  • I Always Wondered What They Were Saying In That Video..

Thansk For Uploading! I'd Favorite It If My Favorites Wasn't Maxed Out, hah..

  • Awesome! My version doesn't have subtitles so thanks for uploading!

  • So, THIS is where Debbie was first brought up!

  • It was cool watching that, but it wasn't THAT funny! The audience laughs at everything. *movie shows messed up little wheel* Audience = HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

  • I thought is was the funniest thing I have ever seen. What do you think about that, yugo9?

  • Its ok if you or anybody else finds it funny. I found a little funny. I don't wanna ruin it for anybody.

  • watching stuff on a big screen with a bunch of other people makes things funnier. Especially if they're all fans.

  • *rols eyes* That was funny because a real satilite would have had more professional-looking meters. putting the words air and no air on a meter is funny because it bluntly says "WE'RE LOSING AIR!!!"
