  • ok soory mine is a 1500 };-)

  • muhahaha, this is fast ???????? he has not seen my Goldwing videos

  • As long as you can see far enough ahead there is no problem crossing the center line.

  • why is this impressive?? he's cruising at a moderate speed on sime undemanding roads...is the skill in the fact that he doesnt fall off after decking the cans and plastics on every single corner?

  • @funkyrimpler

    Its a very heavy bike.

  • I really liked your video. Loved seeing the beautiful countryside, those many wide sweeping turns flowed so nicely with the background music

  • Is this in fact a German or Austrian road? It looks quite like US 34 west from Loveland, Colorado, US of A... Since I have motorcycles that weigh 40% to 50% of a GoldWing [Yamaha RZ350, BMWR100RT and Ducati Monster 900Si.e.], they are much more nimble than that Buick like GoldWingmobile...

  • @Your just jealous because you don't own one !

  • Hi STu,

I'm no local either, but I know that road from Dienten to Bischofshofen quite well, been on it hundreds of times. Don't mind the comments, you're doing fine! Just cause someone painted a lind in the middle of the track doesn't mean you can't cross it! *ggg* That dude on the yellow wing ist definately no local, I can see from some surprises, but he's giving a very nice performance! Thanks for posting it! I'd rather hear the engine sond than Mozart... ;-)

  • Very good choice of music. Uncommon and apropos! :)

  • I hope I don't ride this bad. The guy was very lucky he didn't get hit.

  • I keep imagining a much better ride on another style bike than this sled.

  • Hey stu3216, I've got an 08 Wing and I can keep up with most sport bike riders on it but I don't ride hard two up, it's too dangerous. I suprized a guy on an R6 just a few days ago. Check my vid at Deals Gap and on the Cherohala Skyway if you want to see how one handles with no passenger on the back. The videos are: (Deals Gap on a Goldwing, Cocpit View) and (Cherohala Skyway) by Thebubbahog.

  • Us that own a gl1800 can be a smug bunch because sports bike riders tend to see us as old guys in armchairs. we however know the truth, don't knock it till you have tried it. Excellent video, nice and clear. Thanks for sharing it.

  • As a Wing owner, I loved the vid. The bikes handle superbly and the driver did a good job along the way. Not an expert, not a super bike display, just a guy having fun with sufficient skills. Thanks for posting.

  • the video is about me seeing this wing doing what i didn't think was possible. Not about my riding, but i don't take the comments about my riding to heart i possibly did make mistakes or took lines that the camera cant explain, my Rospa Gold certificate proves my riding to be of a good standard. As for the speed were doing about 50-60ish Mph most the way, its hardly racing.

  • Take no notice of the bloody armchair experts my friend...no doubt they are experts in jets and sailing dingies!!! Good video I go to the Alps all the time (and use all the road) the tar repairs make me wonder if its perhaps the Italian part...it was really rutted a few year ago.

  • great vid and song but i must confess that you're driving like if you were drunk

  • @wiregd They are drunk, drunk with fun and happiness!!! You should try it sometime...

  • deal's gap ?

  • @sonick808 It says Austria.

  • If you have something to prove, do it on a track.

  • If you wanna ride like that buy a ZZR1100 or R1 or some other sport, a wing is a cruising tourer not a frikkin racer, plus he was riding it crappy, needs some advanced lessons. you could get the same fun on that road without losing line.

good video though, and yes, dont underestimate the 18's, we can do 0 - 100 faster than you think :)

  • Great music! Thanks for the video. I just bought my first GL, a classic '82 Standard. I hope to work up to an 1800. Even my old one is well balanced and surprisingly easy to handle. Of course mine weighs about 300 lbs less than this one.

  • A good fast rider is safer than a slow clumsy rider. Ride On. Nice video.

  • Complete tool ! Someone will be scraping him off the pavement one day.

  • He's dangerous, pushing the envelope, riding with a passenger. Just a matter of time. The 1800 Wing is a great machine and quite forgiving....up to a point....if a deer or a bear jumped onto the road he wouldn't have been able to miss it driving at that speed on the edge of control. Obviously has no concern for his passenger or other users of the road.

  • I ride the GL1800 too, it's a great machine, handles and goes great. This guy is dangerous though and pushing the envelope, it's just a matter of time for him, hopefully his passenger won't be with him when he wipes. Do the crime, do the time buddy, but try not to kill anyone else please.

  • Don't under estimate??? The goldwing 1800 is a sweet ride. The guy in this vid is a tool, tailgating, plus weaving like a drunk, WOW. And crotch rockets have a bad name? LOL Great looking road in the vid btw.

  • You both drive to close to the centerline, and even across it a lot...

  • @jesper1406

thats true, he stays to wide a couple of times with oncoming traffic because he has no lean left to tigthern the turn. my camera mount makes it look worse for me than it is. but you should use all your lane and dont make a turn when you can safely straightern out a couple of corners. Thanks for watching

  • I have a blue one that does just the same!

  • good un, have rode austria few times on mine great roads and country

  • Beautiful. Of course the yellow ones aren't as fast as the black ones.. ahem.

  • Du grand art, un régale, on fait le voyage avec eux.

  • Like all planes only time of trouble ( well with mine anyhow) is take off and landing. Once they get going the weight just vanishes.

  • Good job there wasnt any long straights :)

    nice vid, tnx for sharing.
