G'day. I live in S.W. Qld, Australia, and have seen a couple of 'atlatl' youtube films today. Compared to an Australian Woomera the atlatl is exactly similar just on a lighter scale. Did you know that during the Black Wars an Aussie Aboriginal Warrior could hit a man sized target at 200 yards? keep up the good work.

do you know how atlatls get there power from flexing? and could you make a how to, i wanna make a new wooden weapon lol

the atlatl multiplies the power of your throwing arm,the flexing of the dart(yes...a 4foot long dart...)causes it to shoot out like a spring...some even flex to the point of looking like a "U"shape....a atlatl dart can go as fast as 100mph.....unless you live in the UK or use the metric system...you can always ask for a conversion to meters per second or kilometers or......w/e

the darts/arrows are suppost to flex,thats how it get its power. go out side find a strait stick and carve it where its flexy. aim it as if you were throwing a ball.
