  • Shity ass equipment hahah

  • could you send me a link to download that scratch track that you use please?

  • for the cdj 800mk2 and the djm 500 what program should i use for my laptop

  • wow you kinda have kids' hands :o

  • can u connect the cdj 800 to a laptop and use a program such as viertual dj to play the songs and control the program with the cdjs??

  • @TheDJLITIO You can buy software called serato. it is similar to virtual dj but you have to have turntables or a controller. it comes with control cd's that have sound pitches that communicate with the software through an audio converter box that you get when you buy the it. the software then outputs the the audio either to an audio set up or back into a mixer thus allowing you to control the music on your laptop computer etc alll while using top of the line equpiment such as the pioneer cdj's

  • @removablespoon oh ok, only the mk2 or the first ones aslo

  • @TheDJLITIO any turntable is compatable as long as it has aux out (red and white cables) even vinyl turntables have vinyl control discs you can buy.

i wanna get me some of those

  • what mixer are you using with these?

  • LOL

  • DON'T DIS J'S VIDS

  • whats the song?

  • what version of pioneer is that?

  • Idiot, you have it in title.

    Pioneer CDJ 800 MK2

  • @iamskilled5: cdj800 mk2

  • Sounds to digital to me, Just give me a set of sl's and i am happy. Traktor scratch DVS sounds better then the cdj's

  • It is a record. Any recording is a record. While record can also mean "gramophone record disk" or "vinyl", it's not limited to that definition. I don't like to use the terms "song" or "track", because "song" implies a music recording with lyrics, and "track" is too ambiguous.

  • @iamroma so what do you call music?

  • haha well said!

  • @iamroma It's a woman, 'nuff said.

  • @jimmybrite there are women superstar dj's too. also men make mistakes so dont be a dick.

  • @DJNardini Name me one, also you're gonna have to get better at spotting troll comments dude. I know plenty of female dj's and they would kick my ass in a vs.

  • @iamroma same with the term BEAT and BEATMAKER. amen

i prefer record as well.. although i use tracks from time to time.

  • @iamroma er a record is a record and a recording is a recording a song is a song and a track is a tune......so according to your terminology a track is an 8track??...lol...

I cant see what use your video is when you list a video in your info to go to where it has scratching on????.......sorry fella your vid seems about as effective as a fart in a storm.......lol...

  • @DJFemaleDoggy He is right!

  • @DJFemaleDoggy i think you just got owned.. 3 months ago.

    still worth it

  • @DJFemaleDoggy DJ gay cunt

  • Good video demo!! Tks

  • dude to me the cdj sounds better than than a reguler turntable

  • can that 1 hook up 2 ur computer

  • @jgomes1992 yeah but you need serato

  • @mrtavladan56

    Or Traktor or Virtual Dj

  • What a twat!

  • hello

Your you might add a few scratches to one beat of hip hop? It you might send it for mail. I wait for your response. Regards

    Eliminar

  • @DJEILDONFIFE CDJ2000's dont have touchscreen!

  • they do. but not full ones.

  • They don't have touchscreen, they have a touch ribbon to skip through the tracks, its not part of the screen

  • oops sorry guys they do have the ribbon to skip through the tracks which is on the screen

  • sry its da cdm 3600 sry

  • thanx man simple and useful video!

  • hey can i scratch on gemini cdjs or do i need a sound box?

  • pioneers are the best for djing period. you don't need anything else after you two.

  • you can scratch on gemini cdjs!

  • tell me if i must to have a sound box too... must i?

  • i will take it but i wanna know.. you put a cd in and you can scratch???because in a store i saw 1 and i wasnt stopping scracth.plzz tell me

  • I usually hate you tube tutorials, but this was actually informative and you seem to know what you're talking about. Full bars!

  • good lsson

  • is it compatible with the idj2?

  • Hey do we need a mixer for these?

  • haa

  • thanks for all the help

  • mixer is needed...

  • I'd thought that it was't? well ya of course it gives you almost all of the possibilities, BUT i think that i've seen someone use a CDJ 400 whitout (but of course with limited functions)

  • hay man i really want to buy 1 of those, so if i bot 1 would i need a mixer or could i just do it all with out?

  • Shure you could use it without mixer

  • haw much is it!!???????

  • Nice video man!!!

  • Quick question about function.

Does the device have internal memory for MP3 format music or are the tracks required to be on a CD-R disc?

  • No, I don't think any Pioneer CDJs have internal memory. The new ones, including CDJ-400, CDJ-900 and CDJ-2000 can take flash drives. Other manufacturers, like Denon, have that too.

  • Correction, CDJ-800s have internal memory for cue points, but not for MP3/WAV data.

  • Yes I think this is one of the differences from the MK1 to MK2. I have the latest firmware I think. I couldn't find any firmware updates that were released for the MK1.

  • I have a CDJ 800 Mark 1. When I put it in 'Cue Mode' with quick return off, I touch/scratch the platter and the disc keeps playing when I release. The player goes into play mode when I release. It should go back to the cue mode after I release right? Is there a difference with the Mark2 with this feature? Any help would be great! Thanks!

  • Haven't used MK1, but the way you describe it, it sounds like MK1 is different from MK2. Because in CUE mode, MK2 will go back to the cue point after you release the platter. BTW, do you have the latest firmware for MK1?

  • this machine takes all the skill away from using vinyl

  • Actually, I think the required skills are comparable, when it comes to beat matching and mixing. Scratching is actually more intuitive on vinyl, and you have a bit more control. CDJ just add some new features, but the basics are the same.

  • they are comparable of course, on the vinyl you have to be exact where as the digital player will remember the position all the time for certain samples, dont get me wrong, the player is pretty cool but it like saying which is easier to drive, stick or automatic...

  • Either way, CDJs won't make you a great DJ, so this vinyl vs CD vs digital vs whatever debate is pointless. In the end, the DJ, not the gear, makes all the difference.

  • I have used these before and for 3000$ each they feel like shit, house players, useless as table substitutes.

  • They feel pretty much the same as CDJ-1000s, which are club standard. I agree, turntables are superior for scratching, but these are good enough for the basics. Plus, they are around $600, not $3000.

  • nice video , hell year im a roma too :D

  • cuanto cuestan esas tornamesas que yo quiero un par

  • Iv used that Man.... That Jog wheel is stiff as hell

  • i have a question...can you actually scratch?

  • nope, but I'm learning :) This video was just a feature demo.

  • yeah that's kinda weak, vinyl is where it's at

  • Sounds pretty digital.. not like vinyl

  • Im no pro at being a turntable artist nor do i have experiences, but i think every one should try the original way of being a turntable-ist before going to the new turntables

  • That's from back to the future

  • Where do you get your samples 4 the scratching??

  • Looks nice. Good price tag, too!

  • So yeah, why didn't you demonstrate all of this by using music? I don't know about everyone else, I clicked this thinking you'd be scratching and/or beat juggling. Nice equipment, though.

  • what cd u got in it?

  • what r some good accepela tracks i can scratch to

  • Burn some

  • thanks

  • new technology makes stuff to easy now...

  • well the pro's with vinyl will sound a lot better than anyone using quick return etc... but anyways think of it this way... the easier things are made by technology the more capabilities we have to make new sounds

  • but what about the people who can't afford the new technology? are they all-of-a-sudden impaired?

  • well yea... thats the same with everything

  • true...

  • what's the equivalent quick return button on cdj mk3 ?? I don't see it

  • sick ecler yo

  • It's an Urei 1601 Mixer....not an Ecler...

  • Urei 1603 actually :)

  • You, my friend, need Serato and some real turntables.

CDJ can't keep up with the feel of vinyl.

  • very true

but if you're looking for a more accurate BPM counter

a CDJ is what your looking for

  • BPM counters are not too useful when it comes to beatmatching. For a lot of music, CDJ BPM is wrong, and even it it's right, you need to use your ears to make finer adjustments. As for DJBerserk's comment, I think "feel" is subjective. Vinyl or Vinyl+DVS is generally considered better for professional level scratchers, but you can also do fairly advanced scratching with CDJs, and CDJs are better for most other DJ/mixing purposes.

  • true

    vinyl is fun

but if you want a more professional look and feel

    CDJ's are the ideal equipment

    and about the BPM counter

If you're using serato, then you shouldn't have a problem

    because

Serato Scratch + CDJs = DJ Powerhouse!

  • thanks for the tips bro....

  • the scrachin sounds fake

  • HOW DOES IS COST

  • hm i think it costs about 1.500€

  • 1x CDJ800 about 650€

  • thats for 2 cdj800's :P

  • ya ya new theyare $800.00 each. but on ebay you can find half-pricers!

  • BBOOORRRIIINNNNGGG!!!!!!!!

  • u wouldnt buy a video player would you ?

no u would buy a dvd player !

u nd to go withn the times lol

  • cd will never beat vinyl

  • agreed - but these are nice....

  • Comment removed

  • forgot to mention that quick return only works in vinyl mode. lol

  • dnt talk sh*t mate cdj's are better than vinyl yoou hardley get vinyl in clubs anymore you only get cdj's u shud look after ur cd's then they wong get scratched!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • cds suck ass, nothing beats vinyl. im so glad cds are now dieing out , replaced by itunes.Vinyl is the only hard copy u can get.i hate the way cds skip, ive got vinyl thats over 50 years old that plays fine but all my cds now skip.Vinyl will never die, unlike cds - AWE

  • y do u yanks always have to talk over ur vids

  • he keeps smaking and realising his lips lol but good vid m8

  • wow all i can say is wow ppl are beefing over b.s. it alwayz and still will remain that "IT ALL STARTED WITH A TURNTABLE WITH A MIC" and things have changed but the style still remains....check it! LOVE PEACE AND HIPHOP 4 LYFE

  • weres the best site to get voice samples??? thanks from new to this guy

  • what mixer have you got?

  • wtf if ur gona scratch do it on a reeal turntable with vinylz

  • vinylz are so old/ they faded out with casettes and 8 track/ ps cd scrach sounds the same/ i would know i have 2 thecnicz turntables and 2 cdjmk1000's / cds/ time tracked vylez which time track means that u can change the song wioht changing the vinyls/ serato live and shit

  • I agree with you, but at the same time I dis agree, if you scratch with a cd you get a clearer scratch, with a vinyl, if you're a trained listener, you can hear actual scratching if you have the auxillaries turned up properly, with the CD and the aux turned up properly you get proper scratching

  • You must be scratching on some burned samples. Analog FTW!

If you knew anything about sound you would know digital strives to be like analog. Clearer my ass.

  • Just bought some mk3s,amazing things ,awesome for mixing ,excellent for use as a sampler, fast cue drop ins etc but when it comes to scratching sl1200's all night long buoyyyyyy !

  • SERATO scratch live.

thats all i have to say haha.

    wayy better.

  • serato scratch live is not a cd player ... pretty poor if thats all you have to say

  • 1$!

  • how mush is this ???

  • 850 Euros

  • WHAT IS A GOOD MYXER FOR THESE

  • DJM 600 or 800.

  • with cdj turntables can u just freestyle scratch without a cd?

  • Do someone know a deck under the 100$ ?

  • try ebay or craigslist. you should find one.

  • I dunno..id try and save the money and get something a little better...as soon as you get decent, youll want new ones so might as well invest in the best you can get at the start.

  • no. you will not find a cd deck under 100 dollars unless it was bought cheap and broken beyond repair. trust me.

  • have you increased the key on ur voice LMAO

  • ROFL

  • i think that scratcing vinyl is the only way to go, but like to some artist scratching cd´s is the only way to get the job done if you need to get some vocal cuts and it hasnt been pressed on vinyl... plus dude like me who does beats and beat tapes cdj´s could really come handy when doing mixtape beatcd´s...

  • CDJs suck dick!! vinyl is the only way to go!!

  • ryt i have an axis 9 but i have to be gently with it now i like scratchin wid vynil but dnt like fucking them up so wich is better axis 9 or cdj800 my axis 9 has more effect but i dunno am confused some 1 help me

  • The CDJ-800s are way better for scratching than axis 9, in terms of feel, precision and so on. As far as effects on some other cheaper CD players, they are overrated. Once you've mastered the fundamentals, you can get better effects from an external unit, like EFX-1000.

  • obviosly the

cdj 800 is better than the axis 9

    da cdj 800 is $800

    the axis9 is $400

  • how did u get the monny XD

  • i understand using the cd decks for mixing but for scratchin you cant beat vinyl. it all seems fake an really digital. please dont think im dissing your video. im just voicing an opinion. peace bizzy

  • i totally agree i wish they still sold vinyl over cd's. i wasnt born in the vinyl gen but i wish i was sometimes

  • yea i get wat you mean and agree fully

  • Agreed...they really only have a scratch mode so they can amp up the price.

  • What a boooooooooring video...

  • its an instructional video, its not supposed to be "action packed".
