@dotdotdash2 hating on rap is oold. creating vivid imagery with unique and appealing rhythm and cadence via spoken word takes far more creativity than peter steele ever put into lyrics. i've loved type o negative since i was a wee one but honestly the lyrics have nothing on poets like busdriver, mos def, or talib kweli. don't even get me started on the vocabulary and quick wit freestyle rappers must utililize to be successful. no one says you should like it but try opening your fucking mind.

That's it--S and C said they couldn't change the lyrics (and Pete was like, "wht the hell do they care?! They're living on an island somewhere collecting royalties and have walked away from music..."), but they still said no, and so they did the original, with the second half being "Summer Girl..." (they one with the different music)

holy shit one thing ive noticed about type o negative is that their songs sound so distorty and make me feel calm and mellow as my ears decode the distorted noises into something very pleaseant that makes me sleepy at the same time petes bass like baritone voice is producing a positive with the music despite the lyrics which i dont care to understand because it just sounds that good
I so f-ing love this version. So funny and off-the-chain sexy. The crooning in some parts makes me go weak at the knees. Damn it, why did Peter have to die... sucks. His musicianship, sarcasm and overall presence are sorely missed.

holy shit one thing ive noticed about type o negative is that their songs sound so distorty and make me feel calm and mellow as my ears decode the distorted noises into something very pleaseant that makes me sleepy at the same time petes bass like baritone voice is producing a positive with the music despite the lyrics which i dont care to understand because it just sounds that good

I so f-ing love this version. So funny and off-the-chain sexy. The crooning in some parts makes me go weak at the knees. Damn it, why did Peter have to die... sucks. His musicianship, sarcasm and overall presence are sorely missed.
