I have a tape of a Young Adults broadcast on WBRU from 1978. We had them come play at the Officer's Club at the Newport Naval Base. What a riot. I wish I could get a good CD/DVD too. If only Rudy and Sport were interested.
thanks for note. My website is down because I got fed up with young adults fans PROMISING to send me tapes and not one every followed through. If YOU send me a tape, I'll resurrect the site and put the tape contents on the site as a download, and even burn it onto a CD for you.
Okay, I put it in the mail. My address is on the envelope and the back of the tape. Here is the set list, as far as I can remember: 1. Meat Rampage 2. We Like Beer 3. A Power Tool is Not a Toy 4. Fallen Arches 5. Complex World 6. The New Deal 7. Christmas in Japan in July 8. Kill Yourself 9. Men 10. Drunken Celebrity 11. Mack the Knife ...good luck, and I look forward to receiving the CD and seeing your resurrected site. Steve
I remember the Young Adults. Saw 'em at URI in the tail end of their heyday. I thought they were great.... funny stuff & good musicians too. I wish I wish I wish there was a good, clean-sounding live compilation of their tunes (I don't think their studio efforts went much beyond one 45rpm release.) The stage antics were funny, so a DVD would be even better. RUDY CHEEKS, if you still care about your old shit, make sure they release some FULL LENGTH performances, along with the usual edits.
YOU BET IT DOES!!!! "I have a dream" of working with the boys on a documentary, a kind of "Stop Making Sense" for the Young Adults; there must be TONS of great footage of the Lupo's concerts that were filmed for the movie...

Ssalemi, there's a chance that Complex World might be released on dvd? It's been ages since I saw it.

I hope they release this on DVD too! I have been looking for it since I first saw it in the early 90's.
