i own a £150 gaming computer (refurbished) and it runs bf3 pretty well, everything checks out apart from the graphics card (2GB nvdia 9500GS) which according to can i run it and nvdia website it cant work, but everything apart from the model of the graphics card checks out , help?
Controller is easy, I know. I play The Force Unleashed flawlessly on PS3 with one. It's just doesn't translate hand-eye co-ordination as much as a mouse does. That's why you need auto-aim.

Even DICE have said that the PS3/xbox get FPS drops in maps with lots of action, which means the console has a fps span of 15-30 -.- Thats fucking bad. A potato got more processing power than a console.

I'm upgrading my card later this year to a GTX580, or even better a GTX590 :) A PC may cost more than a console, but whatever a console does, a PC can do it 10 times better, unless you have a shitty netbook at 1GHz, obviously a console is better than that.

the machinima video is the the unrefined version than that of the ps3. the machinima vid was what i think a e3 preview so in that vid the graphics and textures were not finished and the ps3 was after they released so it is the complete version.
@CallumSk8er You do realize that you can use an Xbox 360 controller with a PC, and use an HDMI cable to play the game on a big scree TV, right? The PC essentially becomes an Xbox 360, PS3, and facebook machine, all in one.

And Krytonite001 is right. Consoles will NEVER be as advanced as modern PC's. By the time the next lineup of consoles come out, PC hardware will have quadrupled in computing power. And fyi, the overall cost of building and upgrading a gaming pc over the course of a consoles life time is CHEAPER.

@Battlefieldfan97 Here's the difference look at the Xbox/PS3 closely and look at the PC with 4X AA at 1080 and look at the Ambient Occlusion and the Shadow and the Framerate, It has a much better experience with the PC especially if you have 3 monitor for surround.

I dunno, Jimmy Fallon I think that is on the right screen, is a pre-alpha version of the single player. When they made the beta version, they took out the sights on the sight when not ADSing, and that stayed into the final product.
honestly there's not a huge difference between the 2 other than antialiasing, shadows, character models, and higher resolution textures. bf3 isn't one of those titles that shows proper tessellation or pom.

Controller is easy, I know. I play The Force Unleashed flawlessly on PS3 with one. It's just doesn't translate hand-eye co-ordination as much as a mouse does. That's why you need auto-aim.

@Archer2509 Nah, because when i played StarWars Battlefront 2 i had to aim on my own . When i play Call of Duty it does not feel like theres an auto aim. The first Call of duty i played online was Call of Duty 3 and i sucked at first, aiming was not easy at all.

Even DICE have said that the PS3/xbox get FPS drops in maps with lots of action, which means the console has a fps span of 15-30 -.- Thats fucking bad. A potato got more processing power than a console.

@iqtuz I got an i3 2120 @3.3GHz, 6gb Ram and a GT520 for £420, can this run BF3 on low or medium? I'm upgrading my card later this year to a GTX580, or even better a GTX590 :) A PC may cost more than a console, but whatever a console does, a PC can do it 10 times better, unless you have a shitty netbook at 1GHz, obviously a console is better than that.

@DWcriticism Simple info so you can understand it. Console hardware is from 2005. Modern hardware is easily 10x as powerful. 2011 hardware beats 2005 hardware. END OF STORY. And Krytonite001 is right. Consoles will NEVER be as advanced as modern PC's. By the time the next lineup of consoles come out, PC hardware will have quadrupled in computing power. And fyi, the overall cost of building and upgrading a gaming pc over the course of a consoles life time is CHEAPER.

When they made the beta version, they took out the sights on the sight when not ADSing, and that stayed into the final product.

honestly there's not a huge difference between the 2 other than antialiasing, shadows, character models, and higher resolution textures. bf3 isn't one of those titles that shows proper tessellation or pom.

@RuskiHomie Umm.. I'm not real poor... I own 2 xbox360s and 2 ps3s... I also game on PC quit often. I own BF3 on all 5 systems... So fuck me too? Or do I get a pass because I do happen to play on PC as well? Or does that make me "console bi-curious"? I'm confused by your statement.. But I am pretty sure you voted for George W. Bush somehow.
