But, in seriousness, I'm glad this bit was chopped out. It doesn't fit with the rest of the episode, which has the Doctor and Peri on visibly better terms.
Ideally, the show should never been axed or put on hiatus and allowed to continue its natural course, as Doc6's persona was to grow over time. That and the novelizations and audios for the original season 23 aren't bad at all...

these storys would have been better if they had opened up this way and wernt part of the trial sequence. which i dont like
the show should have never bin on hyatus. and carried on with the original planned season with the ice warriors etc. which would have been superb, showed the relationship develope with the doctor and peri
and then introduce this season as a normal set of standalone serials
