  • how did you make it 'smoke'? :) great vid :)

  • Back to the future part three outtake. Doc: "We got to get it to 88 mph!" McFly: "Doc, there's a corner coming up!" Doc: "We'll make it before the corner!" Guess they didn't make it to the future...

  • Pullin' some serious RPM"s on that fucker!

  • NASCAR train...

  • OMG the humanity lol

  • Drunk driver.

  • oops, tight curves and dodgy track! Good to watch though.

  • Nothing better then catching your own trains crashing.....

  • and this run gets off to a quick start... maybe theres money on board, bandits want that. then oops, we went down a curve and roll down the hill.

  • see the crash at 1:17

  • 1:19 Hell yeah we three wheelin

  • ...ooh-hh...

    the-ee... humanity!

  • I blame the terrorist peeking around the wall. lol

  • LMAO!! Train go around tracks for a few laps, then it got cocky; blew it's whistle a few times, and fell off the track!!

  • i saw you in the garage blowing a wooden wistle

  • the glitchy track can be fixed by laying down dirt under the track

  • at 1:two0 (sorry two on my keyboard dont work) is when you get a little tipsy!

  • lol

  • If you want to jump straight to the crash go to 1:18. Nice crash

  • Id recomend constuct a proper balested trackbed. Makes the model look better, improves performance and looks better.

  • wreck of old 97

  • oops driver error.to much rush to get home for a couple of cold ones.......ha ha

  • You see...to fast is never good.

    try: fleischmann piccolo 033.mov

  • OUCH! Hope there wasn't too much damage!

  • Epic fail!

  • Epic fail!

  • wow that was fun lets do it again!!!!! now get the train and flip it over lol lmao

  • F-A-I-L

  • Holy Shit!

  • boooooooooooooring

  • love the crash

  • THAT WAS INCREDIBLE

  • We all live in a Yellow Locomotive--- AH WE CRASHIN!

  • how does the smoke come out

  • If it's the same system as mine, a small open top metal cylinder, containing a heating element in the base, is pushed gently into the smoke stack. Two wires, connected to the heating element at the base of the cylinder, go through the stack first. These are connected to the motors + and - terminals. With the cylinder in place, a few drops of 'smoke oil' (can be bought) is added. As power goes to the motor, it also heats the cylinder and the oil, which then emits smoke.

  • those turn r tooo tight

  • I would have to say that the Durango & Silverton Big Hauler is the most popular and most beautiful of the Bachmann line-up. This deserves Five Stars!

  • looked exspensive

  • ouch. poor train:(

  • Poor loco...

  • durango and silverton yes?

  • uh oh, call the NTSB! Good vid.

  • that like being on a roller coaster good though

  • i think i saw the battery!! hahaha

  • no that was the smoke stack!

It popped off in the crash but I put it back on!

  • .I.

  • .F.

  • lol looks like a roller coaster ride

  • Shouldve seen that coming, lol.

  • fail lol

  • I wish i have a G scale

    But i already have TOMY

    BTW cool vid!

  • it would have been realy cool if instead of flipping off it rode on one side of wheeles and landed.

  • LOL Bachmann :) most likely broke when it did that.

  • The train is not broken!

The smoke stack popped off but I put it back on- and there are no scratches.

It is still in perfect running order but I wouldn't do THAT again!

  • @ps3fanboy2007 Bachmann smokestacks arent very hard to rmove. if you pull hard enough, it'll pop off.

  • I think Thomas the Train had something to do with the crash. At 1:08, I think I saw him smirking at you when you drove past him. I tell you what...I don't trust that little fucker one bit.

  • cool

  • I heard in the news report that the driver had been drinking, they should have mandatory daily tests when operating machinery of this size!

  • Wa..wa...wa:(

  • BOOOM, EVERYONES DEAD WHEEEEEEEEEE

  • if you run your trains unrealistically at 130 mph you will have accidents

  • I only run my trains fast whenever I am clowning around with a camera, Normally I almost never run them fast at all because of the glitchy track level so It is best to go slow.

  • i was getting dizzy

  • I love that train- bachman right? mine is on permenant display on a shelf because it had a bad run in with some sticks, a bridge, and a pond (not waterproof)

  • This train engine can still be found on E-bay and is quite cheap so if I were you I would attempt to open up your Loco and fix it!

I would also add extra ballast inside to increase its tractive effort! If it still doesn't work it can always be rigged to roll in neutral and be pushed by a customized "guost" car which is usually seen in Marklin Z trains whos Locos are way too small to actually have any Motor inside and thus must be powered by a guost car.

  • The train is currently on static display waiting proudly for the next holiday!

I even bought her some matching passenger cars, 1 baggage and even a Caboose!

I really have no space to run it ...but I can dream!

  • that was unexpected especially when your speeding a train on a slantid hill on a curve going fast.

  • This was a temporary track laid out only for the holidays, and it was very glitchy.

Derailments are very common and could never truely be fixed due to the temporary nature of the layout!

  • Disaster!!!

  • From my experiance of operating Bachmann 4-6-0's I'm suprised that it did not derail earlier. Usually the front pony truck (bogie) is prone to derail on poor track condtions.I've never rolled an engine. - Guess there is nil damage when rolling onto grass.

  • actually the track was always glitchy when run on grass and that corner turn was extreme!

since the track is temporary and not a serious layout, nothing could be done to improve it. Also the nieghbors keep trampling over the layout as well as meddeling kids.

  • Seems a lot of trouble to lay track on a temporary basis. Guess if you can only lay it on a public thoughway, you have no option. Seems you enjoy it, thats what its all about!

  • I actually enjoy laying track and working around uneven terrain...my options are limited but still fun!

  • That is what I call, ON THE GROUND!

  • shit that was well worth it. i hope the old girl is ready and running again soon

  • shes running fine and still looks like mint condition!

  • nice

  • that was good

  • Engineers are running away ranting something -( SHE'S GONNA BLOW! )

  • train got too smart with the whistle, and the tender pushed it, but he fell too!

  • I know!... I was also there and on board when it all came crashing down!

    :) :0 LOL !

  • lol slow down!!

  • lol slow...DOWN!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think you may be violating speed restrictions:)

  • lol!

  • That broke my heart!!!

  • Hey all of you viewers! All train crashes in my videos are pure accidents that involved a minor crash... oops! fortunatelly my engines are undamaged and unbelievablly unscratched!

these are my captured and edited bloopers so I apologize for any broken hearts!

All engines are well prized and on my shelf in perfect working order!

  • Good, you had me worried there for a second.

  • haha the whistle was the precursor to the crash!

    'TOOT!'

    'BOOM'

  • And speed kills!

  • Ya that train was going waaaaayy to fast for that uneven track, thats what made it derail.

  • it looks like it didnt jump the tracks just going to fast and gravity did its work and the inside wheels came up and over and tiped

  • The track is on uneven ground and was a temporary layout on the lawn. This makes for a very glitchy set up. I even have power problems at some of the track connection points. next time I will set up on a trestle to solve this problem!

  • too fast TOOO FAAAST!!! Oh the Humanity!!! :D

Time to put some ballest under them rails and level that roller coaster! ;)

  • so what made it derail

  • The track is uneven and was laid on the grass lawn. also speeding up the train can cause it to jump a curve!

This train probably needs more ballast due to wheel slip and It is slightlly top heavy.

This Bachmann G Rio grand has only 2 driving axsles- the center wheel is made to slip and is a dummy.

  • what is ballast

  • It is anything added to make the train heavier, It is usually in the form of lead tht is placed inside the shell of the engine to increase traction, reduce wheel slip and sometimes lower a models cener of gravity.

  • was the train damaged badly

  • No train was damaged, THANK GOD! I really try not to crash but an accident is an accident!

I take the occational risk though.

  • ballast is infact the gravelly stuff they put below the sleepers

  • cool video

  • great video!!

  • Hopefully I will never crash it again- poor thing was just recenty attacked by a Z- scale evil twin model!

  • lol the batteries fell out. nice train too.

  • that was the smoke stack that popped off! this train is on electrified track- the track next to it is not the same and is for plastic battery operated models.

  • eh i know but i just thought it might have been a battery :P i have Ho scale =)

  • kool

  • lollololollol

  • erm..something broke?

  • that was a smoke stack that simply popped off- I put it back on!

  • I like that! just needs to be put in the backyard, and add some scenery, and you have yourself a kighty fine railroad!

PS: I hope the plastic people were not harmed LOL

  • check out the other video where a train eats a train- (JAWS) Z vs G scale!

  • i like the g scale trains, just no room for them right now. nice vid

  • nice train dude!

  • i want that train

  • Its a Bachmann G - the RIO GRANDE DURANGO & SILVERTON and is often called THE BIG HAULERS.
