Dumb assholes! They got no one but themselves to blame for their stupid actions! All those who have a jobs right now in 2011 should be thankful and count themselves lucky. Don't be one of these idiots who thought that they were irreplaceable and therefore do as they please. I only feel bad for their families who always end up paying the consequences....
When your car falls apart and your airbag deploys for no reason, you can blame these useless assholes. They should have followed them to the strip club and showed them cheating on their wives. This is nothing new, been going on for decades, just have to step close to them to smell the beer and weed.

I used to smoke a bowl on my lunch breaks at work but then I came to the realization that I really wasn't enjoying my high while I was on the grind, I stopped doing it but my point is, these guys must enjoy their jobs for them to smoke & drink on their breaks...
So unless there is actual proof that what they do affects their performance or the accuracy of their job... I'm with them on this one.. even though the 40oz are a bit much (unless you apply their body weight as well)
ok well first of all there not "partying" there realsing stress. and alot of your employess and co workers smoke and drink at home without you knowing so who cares what they do on lunch, the drinking ok that can be danger, but weed let them be happy to go back to work or at least be able to deal with the fact there slaving for low pay
This is what happens when you overpay people with no skills, no education beyond high school, and a weak work ethic. They never enter adulthood. In the real world, these 40 year old children would only be worth minimum wage.
@kcmackz my father managed a steel fabrication company where I learned how to weld from age 9. I would probably advance on the line faster than those smucks.
Why is everyone acting so surprised? Is this news to you? This has been going on for years. From engineers to line workers all of the ones I know are on drugs and alcohol. Union labor is a joke these wont get fired maybe promoted
They'll say high priced management was the reason. However, UAW worker policy and defending bad behavior and outragious pensions. The benefits and poor policy making of the UAW has made the Americna Auto Industry a poor product. This is not even the worst. I heard of them drinking on the assembly line and leaving beers in the car. GM plant where I lived they would go to the local liquor store and buy their drinks. Every one in Michigan knows that lunch break is no surprise not at all!!!
I think the worst part is that the same guys did it every day! I bet they also get stoned when they go home. This means they are idiots most of their waking hours...I would not want a care made by these stoners!

I rented a four wheel drive in Cali - and they upgraded me to a Jeep Laredo. Thought it would be heavy to drive and slow up the hills. WRONG! Best ride of my life - they call it the Cowboy Cadillac. Burns alotta gas though. I guess just don't one built after lunch and you'll be OK

Then this little sissy Rob Wolchek goes out and targets this company and these workers. My advice to Rob wolchek is to leave Detroit since your only making things worse for the City. Lots of these guys are pretty serious alcoholics/addicts and if they don't have alcohol or drugs during lunch they start experiencing withdrawal symptoms. It's pretty sad but unfortunately very common.
this is not even that bad!,in some areas,if you got a job as a small construction business to rebuild some of the infrastructure, and your a non union company, there'sgreat chances that you will find things broken on your equipment, such as slashed tires.
it's time for business to get some.....and tell the unions, you can either have your wages slashed to 13 dollars an hour,or be fired.
i work at that same plant and i say fire all of them!!!!! they put everybody else life at risk when they do something like this i'm glad they got caught
I'm not condoning what these workers did, but tell me white collar workers never have drinks at business meetings or lunch with co-workers!

I wouldn't begrudge them a beer with their sandwich during lunch, but they're just skipping lunch and getting stoned. If they don't fire the bums my Dakota is the last Chrysler product I'll ever buy.
@MrBuddrow7711 You have to be the biggest idiot I've read so far. Oh and I'm neither party, parties are for those that can't think for themselves, or old, or just plain stupid.
They should piss test every worker at that plant. I bet at least 20% have some kind of drugs in their system. Now you know why chrylser has the worst over all reviews with their cars and the highest amount of defects and problems. These losers will retain their jobs because of the strong unions.
Regardless of the alleged consumption of illegal drugs, these guys should go to jail for several things.
1. Open alcohol container in a vehicle.
2. Driving under the influence
3. Littering
4. Open Alcohol containers in a public park
5. Operating heavy machinery under the influence (OSHA violation)
Every vehicle made while these guys were employed need to be recalled and completely reinspected. In fact my Mother's brand new Cherokee will be looked at immediately, or the UAW will be sued.
I am glad my car was made at the Canadian Chrysler plant, and the powertrain came from Mexico. I get nervous every time I see a made in America sticker, its a shame but true.
@fartamplifer Good deal, then we'd be at 0% unemployment and those wanting jobs would actually have them, those wanting to waste their life could just go off into the wilds... and die. They would not be missed.
They should all be fired. If they can afford beer and pot they make too much money.Im sure there is a stack of applications somewhere in one of those offices with alot of people wanting to work. What a waste.
Fox2 just announced that Chrysler will make a statement on Monday as to what will happen to these ungrateful slobs. What do you think will happen? My guess is that Chrysler will institute rubber rooms like the teachers unions have. These guys will then get paid for sitting around and doing nothing.
Hence, my Chrysler convertible needed three, (that's 3) transmissions. These bozo "American workers" wouldn't last an hour in ANY other country. American cars, NEVER AGAIN!! Not in a hundred years!
@billydumont At 3:32 I thought that blue stang was gonna ram that red car.
Also, the guy at three-twenty - w/ the orange vest - hops into a car into his car w/ a fourty ouncer. I love the way this is all the fault of the EEEEVIL Fox news network LOL
@DaDrey87 i do not smoke weed, thats disgusting and i dont know where u got that idea from? . he doesnt either. if u look he didnt once in this video or doesnt at all. ill defend that with my life i assure u. but he is definitely an alcoholic and needs help with that. hes required to take addiction classes right now 3 hours a day 4 times a week, among other things.
@JDKGbmx There is only 1 guy in a yellow hat starting at 1:15 and at 1:18 he is toking. He is driving at 2:23, walking at 2:54, and drinking at 2:57. I was asking if you were like your uncle, a toker or not like him.
It is sad that people drink/toke and operate heavy machinery and when caught nothing really happens.
@DaDrey87 oh sorry for the mix up. my uncle is in the yellow shirt, at 1:01, 1:55, and the one that put his hood up at 3:15. he smokes cigarettes. not weed, and no im not like that. i cant say i disagree with ur point but i am glad hes not fired. his son is my best friend and hes a good person. they dont need that.
Fuck that, us Ford workers could have used that money back in our pockets. If Chrysler can't take their job serious enough don't take a bail out. If you don't want to be scrutinized don't take a bail out!. B-Double E Double R - UN Beer Run!.. Smoke POT IT"S HOT!.. hahaha
wow fox, way to take the focus of of the actual problem which is CEO's just pocketing the money, pretty sure these guys were using their own money to buy this stuff.
@JPMatheu I bet GM workers are hitting some of the daytime strip clubs during their lunch hours. I'm unemployed too but strangely enough, I don't feel offended because this seems like happenstance. Never expected this sort of thing to happen.
I think they are sticking it to the Man. Hope and change, you say? Here's my HOPE(beer bottle), and here's my CHANGE(bag of weed)!!!
@breedsauce101 No, I haven't but in the pursuit of happiness and following the American Dream to make enough to be happy is enough for me to move there.
Guys that work for Chrysler shouldn't be driving FORDS, should they? Any way, there's nothing wrong with having a beer for lunch. I used to do it all the time, and it didn't effect my job performance. But I don't like that smoking dope on your lunch break one bit! I think a good tounge lashing or couple-day suspension would be punishment enough. And no, I'm not from the UAW; let's not overreact, that's all.
I think these guys should keep there job Its just a beer, chill out you prissy old hags..Its only fair give them a second chance..Isn"t the company supposed to drug test there workers on a regular basis???Someone's not doing there job higher up. Besides the big bosses get to drink during work hours at there private bars...its only fair people!!
@budbeerz The Chrysler workers didn't just have a beer--many of them chugged 40 oz. beers which is equal to THREE beers each. In addition to alcohol, some smoked marijuana. I wouldn't even let them change the oil on my car.
I just looked up the Jeep Grand Cherokee in Consumer Reports, and it received very poor ratings in Predicted Reliability, Owner Costs, and Predicted Depreciation. If you spend up to $41K for a Grand Cherokee manufactured by those workers, then you must have money to blow.
So, on the basis of the sacrifices made by shareholders and taxpayers, this marks the new beginning of the American auto industry under our dear leader, Barack Hussein Obama. How absolutely encouraging. Mmm-mmm-mmm.
Ouch. Well, that's just more ammo as to why I won't buy a car made by UAW. Do you really want your kids in a car that was built under the influence? Wait. Maybe this is a non-issue -- don't robots do most of the building on cars these days anyway, and the token "worker" just stands there observing with a clipboard? Maybe I overreacted.
@applefan17uaw autoworkers are very much aware of the importance of building a good product.workers who dont have their head in the game, are dealt with by co-workers when necessary.please do not blanket the entire workforce.
One might think that these men, who probably can barely spell their own names and have no marketable skills--but make $40 an hour and have the best health insurance in the world--would appreciate their situations and work hard to make their company successful. That's why I say--let the UAW auto companies fail. Their outrageously expensive contracts have forced jobs to go to other countries. Keep in mind that Chrysler is now run/partially owned by an Italian company.
If the republicans want to help the American people then they need to pass laws that Protect the American Worker. Not laws that make Business More MONEY>
It's bee the republican party that has put business over citizens and money over compassion. Think about it...If the government had taken that $700,000,000,000 and given it to each Legal Family in the country, there would have been a tremendous boost in the economy. Instead it was given to banks and insurance company's. None of it has reached the American People, What has been passed down is the 'LOAN" the Auto industry has recieved.
It's sad that most of you actually believe that this behavior is limited to to workers. this guy is nothing more than a fox, "lets destroy the nation" television actor. they dont even try to not look biased. I say anybody that thinks the auto workers got a bailout are all Idiots...They got "LOAN" and it has to be paid back. blame the democrats if you want to.
these workers should also be arrested for drugs and Operating under the influence, what they did endangers public safety. I for one, would not buy a chrysler if you paid me to
That's way don't buy North American product ! Our safety, and life depend on this auto workers, on the road. Nice! But if they out of job, then they cry.
At least they're working and have jobs. They work everyday and make it back on time and do their jobs. I don't think its any of our business what they choose to do on break as long as they do their jobs.
@davidval88 Are you kidding?. These are the guys installing steering and brake systems on the GM cars that we drive. They are doing it while they are high!! That absolutely makes it our business!!
@davidval88 None of our business? Would you want to work beside someone with a buzz? How about if BUZZ man operates an overhead crane or fork lift, you'd be okay with that? Leave the buzz at home
@ToxicOdiousOne Thats right,,,, I guess you think that the conditions like they were in the 30s would be better,,, speed up the lines, require more work than can be SAFELY produced,,,,,, no breaks, no medical, no holiday pay, no vacation pay, no days off,,,,, 12 - 14 hour work days for straight time,,,,, do whatever the boss wants like picking up someones trash, or climbing up in the rafters to fix a 6 inch steam line thats leaking with no SAFETY gear,,,,,Yep, that surre sounds better to me too.
@davewill3394 Take a good look at Honda, Nissan and Toyota. Their workers are non-union and are not interested in joining the UAW no matter how hard the UAW pushes them to join. They are happy with pay and benefits and make successful products. They are the UAW's worst nightmare.
We have seen the story over and over again. Unions destroy industries and jobs and ultimately destroy entire cities. Take a good look at Detroit.
@nickv41 You have shown me 3 companies, and I do agree, that if a company treats ifs workers fair, than the workers wont need a union, but the key phrase here is"IF THEY TREAT THEIR WORKERS FAIR". As I have said, you have shown me three. I'm sure that if it wasn't for the unions, all those great little companies would have come up with things like medical after retirement, and my PENSION,
@davewill3394 Oh yea, I forgot to mention it to toylex11, yep my time is coming, you are right, in about 3 years, I'll retire with a nice UNION BARGAINED pension, and medical for my wife and I. Will you have that from a non-union company???????
@davewill3394 Can you really bank on that??. Are you absolutely sure nothing will ever happen to your pension and med benefits? The taxpayers bailed you out once. Twice would be pushing it. With products like the Chevy Volt coming thu the pipeline, there is a fair chance that bankruptcy just may lie in the future. I wouldnt rely on that pension and med benefits being there as my only source of retirement income.
@toylex11 We know what those guys were doing, without a doubt, but proving it is another thing. There is no real good views of what they were drinking, or smoking. They will be disciplined, but I doubt they will be fired. Remember, nobody can be terminated for having a disease, and alcoholism is considered a disease.
@davewill3394 No I will not have a union bargained pension. I have something better. Its called a Defined Contribution Plan. The money goes into my 401k every paycheck, is matched by my company and cannot be touched by anyone. I can invest it in any asset class I wish. Even if my company goes bankrupt, I will not loose a dime. The money is mine. Period. Can you say the same? What happens if your company goes under? Do you even know?
@davewill3394 Im sorry. I thought you were a GM worker but I see now you work for Ford. Their pension plan is only underfunded by $17.5 billion. Here is the link if you are interested. I hope you have a backup plan for your retirement.
I'll say it again, unions destroy companies, industries and cities.
@davewill3394 Keep it simple. Your statements have nothing to do with the actions in this vid. Save your ad hominems and red herrings for the stupid that dont understand. Anyone can look at the videos and make up their own minds. This sort of activity has been accepted for far too long. You are not better than the rest of us nor deserve any better working conditions. And no, I have never taken a sip of alcohol or drug while working. Ever
@toylex11 My statements are simple, and I'm not better than anybody else,, I've just been fortunate enough to land a good paying job, something anyone wouldn't turn down if it came their way. The truth is that everybody wishes they had the type of job those chrysler idiots have, thats why everybody is bashing the unions. I don't see anybody bashing teachers unions, or police, fire dept unions. Tell me NONE of those guys drink. Finally,, drinking ISN'T acceptable on the job...
ahahahahahaha, right, because if there's one thing you can trust, it's that companies always have the worker's rights at heart, right? Have you ever read about what work was like during say, the industrial revolution? or about what happened when people tried to improve their working conditions by unionizing?
@seraph1m87 My point exactly,, we fought for the right to be treated fairly because the companys DIDN"T have the workers rights at heart. Why would we want to give that back because of a few morons??? The unions have their place,, and when you think about it, it's because of the unions that NON_UNION people are making the wage they do now. If the non-union companies want to keep their workers, they have to compete SOMEWHAT to keep their people from going to the union shops.
I don't get what this video is supposed to show? That a group of ~8 employees at Chrysler are worthless? Union or non-union you're going to have bad apples with a company the size of Chrysler. This is just another Fox News propaganda piece with no real story behind it.
@thefatkao Really?. If you dont know of any differerence between Japanese and Korean quality as opposed to UAW made quality, then by all means, go ahead and continue to buy GM products. We would all like to buy American but consumers know there is a difference. Resale values tell the story as plain as day.
@skilover5 You did the right thing. I have a Huyndai Elantra that I bought 6 years ago for under 12 thousand. It now has 80K miles on it and has never had any issues at all. Not even a light bulb has had to be replaced. I have never had this kind of good experience with a GM car.
There are plenty of good FAMILY men that need the jobs that these dickweeds take for granted...I will not rest until these fucktards are terminated...FUCK THE UNIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yup, our taxpayer dollars that went to the unions, that went to the Party Store and local drug dealer to keep the "Backbone of American Workers" (Union Employees) medicated for remaining time on their shift to build something that all Americans would be proud to own! WHAT A DISGRACE!
@richardepoulinjr ..You are pretty accurate on your assessment...Isn't it wonderful that we bailed these losers out? LOL!!!!! Go give the bailout money to the muslim arab?LMFAO!!!!!!!!
Hate to be a buzzkill, Call this guy Buzzkillington.

They should piss test every worker at that plant. I bet at least 20% have some kind of drugs in their system. Now you know why chrylser has the worst over all reviews with their cars and the highest amount of defects and problems. These losers will retain their jobs because of the strong unions.
quockbaby 1 year ago
Regardless of the alleged consumption of illegal drugs, these guys should go to jail for several things.
1. Open alcohol container in a vehicle.
2. Driving under the influence
3. Littering
4. Open Alcohol containers in a public park
5. Operating heavy machinery under the influence (OSHA violation)
Every vehicle made while these guys were employed need to be recalled and completely reinspected. In fact my Mother's brand new Cherokee will be looked at immediately, or the UAW will be sued.

Besides the big bosses get to drink during work hours at there private bars...its only fair people!!
budbeerz 1 year ago
@budbeerz The Chrysler workers didn't just have a beer--many of them chugged 40 oz. beers which is equal to THREE beers each. In addition to alcohol, some smoked marijuana. I wouldn't even let them change the oil on my car.
I just looked up the Jeep Grand Cherokee in Consumer Reports, and it received very poor ratings in Predicted Reliability, Owner Costs, and Predicted Depreciation. If you spend up to $41K for a Grand Cherokee manufactured by those workers, then you must have money to blow.

Not laws that make Business More MONEY>
wtdizme 1 year ago
It's bee the republican party that has put business over citizens and money over compassion. Think about it...If the government had taken that $700,000,000,000 and given it to each Legal Family in the country, there would have been a tremendous boost in the economy. Instead it was given to banks and insurance company's. None of it has reached the American People, What has been passed down is the 'LOAN" the Auto industry has recieved.
wtdizme 1 year ago
It's sad that most of you actually believe that this behavior is limited to to workers. this guy is nothing more than a fox, "lets destroy the nation" television actor. they dont even try to not look biased. We need to get rid of unions. Criminalize unions as organized crime. Arrest all union members. if workers unite they will be arrested.
ToxicOdiousOne 1 year ago
@ToxicOdiousOne Thats right,,,, I guess you think that the conditions like they were in the 30s would be better,,, speed up the lines, require more work than can be SAFELY produced,,,,,, no breaks, no medical, no holiday pay, no vacation pay, no days off,,,,, 12 - 14 hour work days for straight time,,,,, do whatever the boss wants like picking up someones trash, or climbing up in the rafters to fix a 6 inch steam line thats leaking with no SAFETY gear,,,,,Yep, that surre sounds better to me too.
davewill3394 1 year ago
@davewill3394 Take a good look at Honda, Nissan and Toyota. Their workers are non-union and are not interested in joining the UAW no matter how hard the UAW pushes them to join. They are happy with pay and benefits and make successful products. They are the UAW's worst nightmare.
We have seen the story over and over again. Unions destroy industries and jobs and ultimately destroy entire cities. Take a good look at Detroit.
nickv41 1 year ago
@nickv41 You have shown me 3 companies, and I do agree, that if a company treats ifs workers fair, than the workers wont need a union, but the key phrase here is"IF THEY TREAT THEIR WORKERS FAIR". As I have said, you have shown me three. I'm sure that if it wasn't for the unions, all those great little companies would have come up with things like medical after retirement, and my PENSION,
davewill3394 1 year ago
@davewill3394 Oh yea, I forgot to mention it to toylex11, yep my time is coming, you are right, in about 3 years, I'll retire with a nice UNION BARGAINED pension, and medical for my wife and I. Will you have that from a non-union company???????
davewill3394 1 year ago
@davewill3394 Can you really bank on that??. Are you absolutely sure nothing will ever happen to your pension and med benefits? The taxpayers bailed you out once. Twice would be pushing it. With products like the Chevy Volt coming thu the pipeline, there is a fair chance that bankruptcy just may lie in the future. I wouldnt rely on that pension and med benefits being there as my only source of retirement income.
nickv41 1 year ago
@davewill3394 BTW, I have nothing against Ford and actually if I had to buy an american made vehicle would purchase a Ford. I drive an Audi.

@toylex11 We know what those guys were doing, without a doubt, but proving it is another thing. There is no real good views of what they were drinking, or smoking. Do you even know?
nickv41 1 year ago
@davewill3394 Im sorry. I thought you were a GM worker but I see now you work for Ford. Their pension plan is only underfunded by $17.5 billion. Here is the link if you are interested. I hope you have a backup plan for your retirement.
I'll say it again, unions destroy companies, industries and cities.
nickv41 1 year ago
@davewill3394 Keep it simple. Your statements have nothing to do with the actions in this vid. Save your ad hominems and red herrings for the stupid that dont understand. Anyone can look at the videos and make up their own minds. This sort of activity has been accepted for far too long. You are not better than the rest of us nor deserve any better working conditions. And no, I have never taken a sip of alcohol or drug while working. Ever
toylex11 1 year ago
@toylex11 My statements are simple, and I'm not better than anybody else,, I've just been fortunate enough to land a good paying job, something anyone wouldn't turn down if it came their way. The truth is that everybody wishes they had the type of job those chrysler idiots have, thats why everybody is bashing the unions. I don't see anybody bashing teachers unions, or police, fire dept unions. Tell me NONE of those guys drink. Finally,, drinking ISN'T acceptable on the job...
davewill3394 1 year ago
@ToxicOdiousOne
ahahahahahaha, right, because if there's one thing you can trust, it's that companies always have the worker's rights at heart, right? Have you ever read about what work was like during say, the industrial revolution? or about what happened when people tried to improve their working conditions by unionizing?
seraph1m87 1 year ago
@seraph1m87 My point exactly,, we fought for the right to be treated fairly because the companys DIDN"T have the workers rights at heart. Why would we want to give that back because of a few morons??? The unions have their place,, and when you think about it, it's because of the unions that NON_UNION people are making the wage they do now. If the non-union companies want to keep their workers, they have to compete SOMEWHAT to keep their people from going to the union shops.
davewill3394 1 year ago
I don't get what this video is supposed to show? That a group of ~8 employees at Chrysler are worthless? Union or non-union you're going to have bad apples with a company the size of Chrysler. This is just another Fox News propaganda piece with no real story behind it.
thefatkao 1 year ago
@thefatkao Really?. If you dont know of any differerence between Japanese and Korean quality as opposed to UAW made quality, then by all means, go ahead and continue to buy GM products.
