  • wow amazing

  • The music is MERKERS SALT MINE from Medal Of Honor, the first Medal Of Honor ever video game, on psx

  • beautiful seig heil

  • should have been in other order, then followed by now.

  • could do without the stupid music

  • As disturbing as it was engrossing. Quite one of the most compelling and scary videos I have ever seen on the Internet. Incredible photos.

  • How did you find all these incredible pictures?

  • Battle of Vizna. 1:42

  • Out side of Volgograd (Stalingrad) there is this field. As Donaven Webster (Historian) arrives to this field you can spot a white figure on the ground, as he looks closer he realizes its a bone. A human bone. Then he starts to look around and he sees these bones everywhere, all the way up to the horizon. This place is called a "Bone field" it is 30 miles long and 20 miles deep.

That is what is left of Hitlers 6th army, it is a monument reminding us of the cost of evil.

  • i like this kind of wwii-style music

  • This is one of the most BRILLIANT pieces of work I've ever seen on youtube.....amazingly done!

  • Medal Of Honor soundtrack? nice.

  • Brilliant. Phoenix rising from the ashes? Job well done, thanks.

  • What symphony was that?

  • Germany sure did a good work rebuilding their cities in a record time (West side).

  • there's a macdonalds in the ''adolf hitler straße'' adolf hitler street

  • the music is so evil. perfect fit

  • And at 3:24-3:26 T-Mobile replaced by swastika. Again, if you have T-Mobile on your mobile you'll have to debate the lesser of two evils....

  • holy shit

  • Dojocho um I think that you have no dick! Peace on earth is no fucking fun when I get older u want to kill thousands of Nazis and japan people the will give me the meddle of honor for most kills of japan people in a second bitch oh and did I say that you have no um dick??

  • Look at germany anthem and anthem of third reich :)

  • @Crox300 there are not anthems of the third reich you dont know about german

the reichstag or the chuches or the brandenburgertor are not nazibuildings

  • @Crox300 the anthem is older than das dritte Reich and we are using other lyrics as the old sound a bit weird cause of German history.

  • this is quite brilliant and scary

  • @innit27 yeah, it is very scary, or maybe not.

  • Its like you could walk by these places and look directly at them, and have no idea the history that happened there. As if every place, has a thousand secrets, and they do. And each of these past snapshots is just one of those, who knows how many more have happened at every place you look at. A thing that has happened there, a person that has been there, what drama unfolded there. Even by the side of a highway, someone may have been in a life and death struggle in the grass and lost.

  • @cobrachoppergirl mad isnt it

  • I like these montages, the photos are like damning and sinister. If only you could put little signs up at the very locations showing both photos.

  • Shocking...

  • this is one of my favorite videos on youtube and I like the music it's in Medal oh honor airborne but I wonder whats the titel is!

  • 卐 Nazi 卐

  • Lot of talk about a "song". I don't rear any songs, just some great orchestral music I wish somebody would identify. Also wish the pictures wouldn't move so fast.

  • The Third Reich in Ruins website is amazing. Huge amount of material and years of work for the author. Brilliant to see it here too!

  • Nice one

  • I love War history! :)

  • well done

  • what a great vid,!!! I wonder if there are any reich eagles still about, Has anyone made a vid about der reichsadler, then and now?

  • wow its almost unbelivable to think all this really happend.

  • the music is very fitting

  • what is the name of the song in the beginning? Please =)

  • the pictures should be the other way around. old first, new second. just some constructive criticism, great video otherwise.

  • @pete159159 true

  • 1:09 the place where i used to work during my military years in Berlin :)

  • Fascinating Video, really well put together...thanks!

  • Impeccably well done. Gives me chills when i turn volume way up. Music selection is perfect. You sir earned a subscription.

  • Very well done. Very. Did you take the modern day pictures yourself?

  • This is amazing, very nice work. A world gone mad it was. It's nice to see the human spirit, for all it's flaws, finds a way to fix what we once broke. Now to 'unbreak' the middle-east. Still pondering a fix for that one...

  • wow that was really cool thanks for sharing

  • God... Imagine how akward the thought of actually decorating one of those buildings for the Nazi army? "Hmm... I think I'll hang a couple of flags here... And maybe one over there... Yeah it's gonna look nice. I hope Hitler will like his new office."

  • @SayWhatoO Its amazing today how Hitler is denounce by the German people. But a lot of their country's culture mirrors the rules that Hilter allowed. I'm new in Germany for the past year and I see some of the same things that people denounce.

I have a few German neighbors (young) that still exhibit hate... no dislike towards other countries (Poland, Holland, UK, France and Russian) people. Claiming that they are low lifes

  • @SayWhatoO And not worth knowing. And then when I meet a Pols, Russians or Brits I see the German's were false in their opinions. Think about Handicap people, I was informed that those people are cared for in other means. But if you have a small child and he/she is handicap... Would you put her/him in a home/center/facility to be cared for? I hear my neighbors downgrade African-Americans and even Jews today. The hate phenomena did not die at the end of WWII.

  • any WW2 video i see reminds me of nazi zombies lol

  • Very good job on this video, music was perfect.

  • 0:59 where is that curch?

  • Everything looked better back then

  • it's creepy

  • Very cool. The only thing that would have made it better is if the locations had been displayed along with the pictures.

  • wow awsomme man well done realy good.

  • AWESOME Video

  • 3:06 is Stuttgart, Königstraße, looking towards the Hauptbahnhof.

  • Wow the one where Himler was standing at... waay tooo creepy yo...

  • the contrast is almost scary

  • Wow that was a cool vid!!!!

  • music: medal of honor - what a game :)

  • holohoax

  • Love this!!

  • fantastic.........very well done. the ones where you can actually see hitler in them are especially spooky,,,,

  • YES!!!.....incredible...well done.....

  • My Ex girlfriend went to auschwitz 20 years ago as part of a Trip to Europe.

she briught back many pictures of the deathcamp. It was awful what happened there.

What other German buildings and contructs remain to this day that the Nazis used to take over the World ? If they had only stopped at France or Poland. They should have known that Rapid conquest cannot account for unseen Variables. They were destined to Fail. I thought they were Superior ?

  • Very impressive.

Here is a little constructive criticism: Perhaps a caption at the bottom of each one, explaining what it is? Then too, you could linger a bit longer, to take in the details.

    You did a great job!

  • Hi azazel87:

Wonderful video, especially when one considers that the auteur is only 11-years-old. Quite a talented kid!

Can you tell me the name of the score playing in the background. It's terrific, and

I'd like to have it to play.

  • 3:17 - 3:32 Adolf Hitler Street has become McDonalds Street... :D

  • Heil Ronald McDonald ! : D

  • That was both awesome and spooky. Good work! Must have taken quite a bit of research.

  • Very interesting. Must have been a long search.

  • THATS AWESOME!

  • Awesome is the only word I can think of for this - and that's not a word I use very much.

  • It's scary how some things have changed so little...

  • True...

  • Indeed, there are still much more scary things than one can suspect....in the hearts, minds, and genes, of their descendents.

  • What a difference a war makes... Cool concept.

  • song tht starts at 3:00 is on moh and was played at my grandads funeral who died last year, he survived d day paratroopings and even 2 years of the korean war before retiring R.I.P

  • @cossieftw your granddad did know moh? Oo strange music for a funeral xD

  • @cossieftw Respects to your grandfather

  • @cossieftw Hoorahhh!

  • @cossieftw the first song is MOH as well

  • nice

  • thanks for sharing this fantastic vid

  • A superb video ! I have about 500 black and white photos taken by my father (Captain, U.S. Army Military Police) during the war in Europe. They are mainly dealing with the Bulge, the Ardennes, liberated Belgium, railroad destruction, and death camps. I plan to make my first tour of the area this spring. I wonder how many "then and now" matches I can come up with. BTW, great musical score, too.

  • Great job iam a huge history buff thanks dude

  • Amazing stuff!

  • in almost every picture theres like a trillion nizi solders .

  • you sound like a real bright spark how old are you 10

  • That's my son! He wanders around YouTube in my login. Thanks, though! He's 11, and yes, he's a bright one. Loves his war history.

  • ok pinocchio.... you sound like a billy bullshitter to me.

  • Amazing!! I wish I knew more about the war. Must of been some scary times

  • BRILLIANT WORK, the part of the burning oven is very striking.

  • Brillantemente realizado....

  • Très bien réalisé, bravo!!!

  • Wonderfull work!!! Congratulations!!!

  • This is really really cool, brilliant job.

  • Very interesting movie. God job on taking the pictures exactly as the old ones.

Especially the picture at 2:20 is really scary!

  • what's the building at 1.12?

  • Nicely done. I have never seen anything like it.

An old man like me can still recongnize some of these places.

    Thanks for posting this.

  • I would be even more informative and documentaristic with the names of the places. It is still raw without the names. Editing is not so bad, but the music can gave us sinister character of the battles. ( pardon my grammar, I am not an english speaking person )

  • Very cool. Thanks for posting.

  • you mostly see pictures here in 1945 in germany because the eastern front had mostly scortched earth tactics which means destroy everything the enemy could use before retreating while this was mostly not done on the western front

  • does anyone know the title of the song?

  • Merker's Salt Mine by Michael Giacchino, from the Medal of Honor OST.

How brilliant it was...game, music, and that very level :)

  • Just EERIE...

Great sound from the Medal of Honor Score ;)
