  • Thank you for your videos :)

  • After new caps better but sleep timer keeps going back to 1 minute. Set to off in menu but goes back to 1 min next time switch on. Any ideas please?

  • Help,my samsung LE32s86BD when is on work a 5 sec ok and turn off and again is on and off.....please help...

  • Does this fix the problem samsung's have with losing the picture but still having the sound?

  • AWESOME! I just fixed my 40" Samsung in about an hour... replaced with better capacitors - all parts and soldering iron for about $10 from Radioshack. Thanks again for the video. EASY with the help of this video.

  • Thank you so much, my Samsung 46inches woke me up last night with the relay click noise and wouldn't power up at all. This morning I found your nice vid. Took me 2h total and the repair did cost just $1,18+gas to the electronic shop. I replaced two "inflated" capacitors. I didn't find 12V but I replaced with 16V. Those were rated 85 Celcius instead of 105 Celcius of the original ones... I hope this won't cause any problem in the future. Thanks again !

  • Samsung is now repairing this problem free of charge. They not only replaced my capacitors but the whole board that the capacitors were on. A 10 minute job. Call 1-800- Samsung.

  • THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!

Thanks to you, instead of spending 1300 Swedish Crones on repair, 170 krs later it was repaired!!! Great video,

  • I have this problem. My samsung LE40M86 wont turn on. it just sits there clicking like its trying. I located the actual magnetic relay doing the clicking noise - thinking it was dead. I short circuted it in hope that it would hold the signal and the tv would turn on. DIDNT WORK.

Im gonna try this when i get home. :)

  • holy shit Im watching your video on that exact TV.

I hope this never happens but now I know what to do.

  • I followed the instructions in this video to repair my 40" Samsung TV. The capacitors cost $3.89 at a local Radio Shack and it took me about 90 min. My 3.5 year old TV works great again.

  • I really appreciate your help. Excellent video.

  • can you tell me the ripple current of the replacement 10v 100uF capacitors? cheers

  • Thanks for the help Professor! You DO rock!! 5 new capacitors for $13.05 and it's all good! Hopefully we get another four years (or more) from our LG 42LC7D.

  • can you give me some advice on my tv ? already checked fuses and those round things and seem ok but my tv shows a blue line across only and looks like it wants to show the full screen but can't for some reason...my tv is rca tube tv those knida new ones there selling today...any help would be so appreciated !!!!

  • my 46" samsung started turning itself on and off by itself. :( I'm gonna try to fix it myself. Wish me luck.

  • @123BlueMeanie How did it work? Mine just starting turning off and on today :(

  • This is the real deal folks. My Samsung 46" TV was having the exact same problem and I just fixed it.

  • (cont'd) no power or nothing, no backlight etc...so i opened it up like u did above and dont really see nothing wrong?? im upset cause this looked like an easy fix but my capacitors look fine.or could it still be the capacitors since i have absolutely no power on??i will probalby still go ahead and replace.should i try to replace the litle fuses as well? i think there are 3 of them on the board? if anyone knows anything about the fuses please help.any commets/suggestions please post soon.thanks!

  • what if its not the capacitors? I have the samsung 52 inch...ln52a650a1fxza and i opened it up and the capacitors are not bulging, or leaking or anything that would make me think there the problem...to backtrack so the problem started out when we had a thunderstorm or something and the tv just shut off out of nowhere cause of a power outage or something like that i guess(i dont really know as i wasnt home and this is what i was told) so since then it has powered on or nothing..(cont'd above)

  • THANK YOU VERY MUCH ,I JUST FIXED MY TV .

  • Fantastic video! Fixed the problem in a few hours. I'm a lifelong EE but this just made it so easy. The video reminded my of me and my Dad 60 odd years ago.

  • Thanks very helpful. Fixed mine today(samsung ln4051d). used Radio Shack Capacitors Part # 272-1032, 100uf, 35v. perfect so far

  • @saxkwatch Radio Shack is ok, but their caps suck. They are only rated @85c when it's better to use 105c. You should also replace ALL 7 caps at the same time regardless if they're bad or not and use quality ones like Nichicon are else you'll be doing this again within a year or so. Just saying.

  • @southport97 - I fixed mine with caps from raidio shack and the TV is not working 4 months later. The caps look fine, but do you think it was the shatty radioshack caps?

  • @mxchamps Yes. Please understand the caps from radio shack are CONSUMER GRADE with high esr and only 85c max temp. They really are not good for power supply applications. They are "ok" for general application and science projects. What kind do you get? Only Rubycon or Nichicon (best in the industry) capacitors. Those are COMPUTER GRADE caps with low esr and 105c max temp. Unfortunately, you have to change out the caps again as will the guy that made this video.

  • @southport97 Thanks for your reply. I am not sure what kind I got. I know they were 35v instead of 10v. I will try the 2 you mentioned. Where is the best place to get them?

  • @mxchamps Caps can look perfectly normal and still be bad. Actually you can replace the 10v with 16v which is more than adequate and will fix the problem. The probably is actually that Samsung used those cheap ass 10v caps on that 12v rail. 16v is perfect and 25v will work as well, but it's overkill. Try badcaps(dot)net, or computekinc(dot)us The shipping costs more than the parts, which sucks, but at least you know it will be fixed right.

  • @southport97 - Thanks again! I will order them tonight!

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I always wanted to solder something and this turned out to be my chance. One week after TV (LN32A330J) warranty was up, it died. I bought an LG and kept this one until I decided to buy and try your fix. You and Milo (and the excellent camera woman!) are good teachers because the TV is like new again and I finally soldered something after 45 years on the planet. Needless to say, I don't like Samsung that much, but it is a great picture and style when working.

  • Fucking Samsung mother fucker I would never buy any sam mother fucking sung ever again peice of shit!!!

  • hi you need to get you a desolder iron from radio shack it works good not the kind you use the solder iron and the desolder sucker the electronic desolder iron what i recommend using

  • I have a 42" Hitachi plasma TV 42EDT41 just like Hiwayking5 i have audio but no video can you help me out please thanx,

  • This definitely works!!! Thanks to you and this video, my tv is fixed and saved hundreds and hundreds of dollars. Words cannot express, I literally love you.

  • I also have a samsung that's gone faulty. I get the startup audio and power indicator as well as a few clicks with no picture, but none of my capacitors are bulging.

    Any ideas?

    Nice video by the way

  • wait what happen if you had a 3d tv will its work

  • Great tutorial, worked a treat on my Samsung lcd tv model LE40A656A.

Capacitors cost less than £2 from Maplin.

Phoned Samsung and they told me there was no known problems with this set, they gave me a number for a repair centre who told me it would cost £81.60 for labour + parts. Seems that after reading several different threads that the fault is common across several different models.

Thanks a lot great, vid, dog liked it as well as his name is also Milo

  • Thanks a lot this helped me to repair my tv as well :)

  • some help please my samsung tv has just gone black screen for no reason what so ever, i have sound but nothing on screen cant even see menu or volume on screen. please reply if you have any idea what could be the problem, thank you.

  • Watched this video.... spent £2.10 on 10 condensers on ebay (only needed 4) and a further £9.00 for a soldering iron on ebay... fixed for £11.10..... shame i had already replaced the tv before i watched this (loser). With my tv it also the picture it was going darker and darker not only not turning on... seems to have fixed both problems. Thanks for the guidance.

  • FYI about Samsung fixing the TV for free...not true. Called them today and was told it was not one of the models that was covered.

  • People! Don't buy replacement your caps from Radio Shack!!!! They only sell standard radial caps.

You are replacing capacitors within a switching power supply -- these absolutely MUST be low-ESR type caps.... or you WILL be doing this again! Use only quality low-ESR type caps such as Panasonic FC series. Do a websearch for "Panasonic FC capacitor Samsung".

  • Hello, I have the samsung 50 plasma, it powers up fine and you can see the picture but the volume goes up and down. Most of the time it stays up at 100. I tried to lower it with the control but it just goes back up. I tried to mute it but it just goes back up. The tv looks great if it didn't I wouldn't bother to fix it. Hope you can help, thanks

  • I did this fix and it worked great but now a main transformer is humming really loud. Guess it is time for a new power supply.

  • Hey I have a samsung tv 32" model LN32A330J1DXZA version CK02 and we bought it two and half years ago and now it won't turn on. I've watched both parts of your video and was wondering if I should buy the 50v capacitors or 25v capacitors seeing that it is a tv of a smaller size than yours. Please let me know, it would really be helpful!!

  • @kittycol I'm glad you posted this, I need the same advice!

  • nice vid

  • thank you for this video i replace a couple of capacitors ... now it works, great video thanks again

  • Hey how do you fix the video inputs

  • Thanks so much for the video. I will pop it open and try your check the power board also. Man it seems that the Samsung Plasma and LCD last about three years at best. FYI about Samsung "paying to fix it" did not work for me since my unit was out of warranty by 18 months.

  • Thank you, I fixed my TV following your video....

  • Thank you so much for posting these instructions. Problem fixed for $11 plus lunch and dinner for my son and his family!

  • I have my LN26A45 LCD apart and immediately see a bulging capacitor. Thanks to your video I was able to spot the suspected problem in seconds. The tv was going to be otherwise trashed by a friend as it had gone off warranty.

  • If you contact Samsung they will pay for the repair for you! When the set is in the shop the update software will be updated and the set will be back to factory specs.

  • Milo u rock, and dad ain't so bad either. Great help on fixin my tv. I watched both videos and have never worked on any electronics befor. Went to RS and got the capacitor like u showed us and cost $1.79 , we saved $198.00 and now I'm a hero with the wife. Thanks sooo much. We have a 1.5 year 36 inch and were about to take to TV repair guy who said he knew exactly what was wrong and would fix for $200.00 and would take 2 weeks. U ROCK MILO & family

  • thank you friend, you helped me a lot with this video !

     Greetings from Brazil.

  • This video helped me to repair 2 Samsung LCD TVs :-)

    My and brother's one.

    Thanks a lot :-)

Costs of repair: 1$ + my work :D

  • Talked about you in a class on Flat Panel repair. This is a great video Milo is very helpful.

    The class is on tvecourse

  • Thanks to you and your helper for posting this! Can't wait for Radio Shack to open in the morning and we can give it a try!!!!!

  • Does this happen to samsumg projecter tvs too ? my brothers 3 year old tv just clicks also but never turns on. Or do u think its the bulbs ? thanks

  • WOW; THANKS!!!!!!! I just replaced our capacitor caps at $1.55 a piece (total 4 of them) from a purchase at JK Electric in Westminster, CA. When I asked the parts desk rep for the caps, he said, "Oh, you have a Samsung!";D You (and your helper) saved me nearly $200; as my warranty just ran out two weeks ago!! THANK YOU !!!!

  • the helper is adorable! btw vid... moral of the story I guess is don't buy another samsung eh

  • Could you please tell me what type or brand of capacitors that i should use? I have a Samsung LCD LN-T4069F

  • @georgeduran18 The exact same rating as the ones you are replacing preferably.

Power supplies have more than one rating of capacitor.

Try and use panasonic/nichicon or rubycon capacitors.

If you're still like omg what capacitors do I use. Open the tv up and look which ones are bad. Replace those.

There's premade packs on ebay for about a tenner that includes what you need. I bought one for my 40" tv and it came with everything.

  • @johnaiton 0k thanks man your the best

  • Thanks man!

I had exact same thing (with different model), Samsung didn't even get back to me, repair man said it would cost upto £200....saw this and did it myself for £7.

Again, thank you buudy for going to the efffort to help others.

  • Many thanks for this great video help. I was really frustrated that my Samsung (bought in 2007) was seizing up and my brother happened to mention the capacitor issue which i then followed up. Everythin perfect as I bought the necessary including the 1000uF capacitors - the new ones ar smaller so you can target a higher voltage rating. I went for 16V but I am sure 25V or higher can still fit onto the PCB. The whole exercise cost me abou 40 USD compared to a new TV that I was about to buy.

  • Man, thank you. I haven't even opened my TV yet but after 5 minutes of googling the symptoms are ALL OVER the net for the Samsung to quickly point me to the bad caps issue. Then I thought it would be great if there was a tutorial vid to locate the caps easily and WHAMO here I am. About to begin the search for the bad caps but wanted to thank you in advance for posting this.

  • Go to mouser.com they have the exact parts needed. 1000uF 16V low ESR for the small size capacitor and 1000uF 25V low ESR for large one. cost me $9 and change with shipping for 7 capacitors.

  • I just did the fix and my LEMON tv that has the screen replaced under warranty and 3 months later began not turning is back in action!!

FYI make sure to use desoldering braid. It saves a lot of time getting the old capacitors out. ($4.59) at radio shack.

  • should i use a bigger capacitor? is this going to keep it from happening again? if i hear one more click ima hit the damn thing with a baseball bat.

  • my capacitor doesnt have a bulge it is flat but it does have that black ink looking thing on it..do you think it is blown capacitor?

  • Thank you , I ended up with 2x $1.99 caps from Fries and all works like new!!!

  • Thanks a lot it helped me to repair my 40" Samsung LCD TV :-)

Total price of repair for changing of 2 capacotors was $0,4

  • Great it helped me to repair my Samsung LCD 40 TV :-)

    Thanks a lot :-)

  • Hellos from San Jose California. Followed your tutorial and successfully fixed my 52" Samsung for the same problem. No more waiting 5 minutes for the picture to power up. Thanks!

  • Hi From Ayr, Scotland, Brilliant video -very helpful. Well done and thanks Milo for helping!

  • I hear working in the "high voltage area" on a TV can be really dangerous. any ideas what I should avoid>

  • Followed your instructions step by step and it's fixed!!!! Thanks so much for your video, saved us a few hundred in repairs.

  • Your helper is awesome!

  • My 40inch Samsung LCD LN S40510 had the same proble/symptoms. Drove me crazy for months. . I found a bad solder connection in the High Voltage area. One little pin. I re soldered it and that fixed my Samsung. Look at the back side if the power supply board for any solder point that looks at all different and resolder. My capacitors were all good.

  • This is a great video and many thanks for posting this! Seriously! My Samsung LCD TV is doing this and I'm going to try it. I'm a former electronic assembler and I totally get fixing my expired warranty electronic items myself before I have to spend on a new TV which i shouldn't need. Take care. :-)

  • I was about to do this. But since I didn't have Milo to help I called Samsung and the sent a guy out to replace caps. They did it fro free two years out of warranty. So I suggest unless Milo makes house calls to call Samsung first.

  • I have a 42"Samsung rear projection tv,problem is, bottom right corner, any writing is blured and is slowly moving up the right side mid screen. The picture is perfect otherwise.anyone any idea as to what is causing this.THere is also black lines appearing across the screen at change of adverts, wheb ad finishes the screen returns to normak viewing.

  • Thank you, I had the same problem and fixed it as you did for $5 worth of components. Your video was really helpful! See my video response!

  • Thanks for the video.

I called Samsung and they agreed to fix my tv though it was off warranty. Samsung gave my info to a local repair man who called to schedule an appt but said he would have to charge me and extra $75(min hourly rate) and i would have to bring him the tv + he was getting paid from Samsung.

    I told him NO WAY!

Seeing how easy this repair was gave me the confidence to repair the tv my self, thanks!

  • I was soo lucky to get this problem DURING the warranty. I'm glad I called in early & I still have 2 months left of warranty (from 3 years). I see that some people were unfortunate enough to have their TV broken AFTER the warranty. I called Samsung Aus & one guy said that it will cost $ to fix the capacitor after warranty. I called again & another guy said the prob will go to Resolution Centre & they will determine if it's going to be a one off free fix or not. But I'm glad I still have warranty

  • Thank you very much..and yes Samsung will fix for free.. i called tham and said my TV clicks. they gave me a repair number and said a tech will come to my home and repair free of charge.

  • @bMxKiNgS07 what's the number of the samsung service centre? as i tried and it wasn't going to be free outside of warranty.......

  • how do you remove the 7 connectors do you just pull them ?

  • Thank you for your video. Last week my LNT4065 started having the same problems with capacitors going out and taking forever to start. So last night I called Samsung and spoke with a CSR. I explained the symptoms and gave my serial & model number. The CSR then trasnferred me to another dept. That CSR told me that they have extended the warranty for this issue and said an on-site tech will call me and replace the capacitors on the PCB free of charge. The tech fixed it for free all is well :)

  • How much MONEY would you like to bet?

  • Saved you nothi9ng ....Samsung repairs this issue 100% FREE of Charge

CALL 1-800-SAMSUNG tell them your tv clicks

  • @FalvoAnt

I seriously doubt Samsung is going to fix something that's out of warranty free of charge.

  • Replaced 4 caps on my series 6,works again thanks you saved me £140. :-)

  • I can't begin to tell you how appreciative I am that you would take the time to do this - without any form of compensation other than the gratitude of people like me. Just wanted to say thanks. You saved me 300 bucks easy...

  • Thanks man, fixed my issue for under $4!

  • very helpful changed 2 capacitors, whole job took me about 1/2 hour

  • FYI. Most repair shops charge $80 for this repair not $400.

  • I dont wanna die during this :D

  • I opened my TV and I have a power supply board like yours but I don't have a 'cage'. Why is that? You didn't mention where you got your capacitors. I got a LN40A750RIF from samsung. Samsung suggests to update the TV firmware to repair this issue. I noticed two capacitors that are bad. I am going to try what you suggested.

  • Replaced 4 capacitors to be safe. My father is an HVAC expert of 40yrs so he was familiar with circuit boards and your video was a GREAT tutorial to show us everything we needed to know. Thank you very much!

  • Appreciate the video. I just replaced two capacitors on my tv and it works now. the hardest part was getting the capacitors out.

  • Works on LN46A540P2FXZA not powering up too, just 2 capacitors to replace. Thanks!

  • Works on LN46A540P2FXZA too, just 2 capacitors. Thanks!

  • Thanks; gave me the confidence to tackle it myself, and for very little outlay it works!

  • Chalk up another consumer, who was TOTALLY new to soldering, for saving $400+ with this fix! Only costs me $30 for everything. I replaced 6 bulged capacitors and it's good as new!

LG 32" bought in 2007 for $1100. Glad I was able to save it!!

  • Thanks for showing me how to fix a $1,000 TV for $11 and 6 hours of total amateur work with no help from the Geek Squad (I got it at Best Buy) Your video was the key

    Samsung and Toyota, watch out!!

  • Hi!

Sorry if I answer you late.

I bought 5 Radial Capacitor 1000uF 25V in Ebay (from UK).

You can find them everywhere also in the shop that sell electronics components.

Before you buy them, open the TV and check that also yours are 1000uF.

It is a really easy job. I'm not a technician but in 20 minutes I changed them.

  • PIECES OF SHIT!!!!!

  • Never mind, I got all the information i need.

  • Thx for this video. Vertical lines on Samsung LN40A750R1FXZA Flat Screen TV

How to get the correct part for 10-volt capacitors? Where to order these parts?

  • Samsung lost another customer with this! Never again Samsung!

I bought a LCD TV 2 years ago and I payed it 2500 Euro.

I called the customers support (in The Netherlands)and they did like they do know nothing.

After that I let them see 1000 and more websites where customers speak about the clicking noise problem they told me that a repair will contact me.

The repair centre called me after 2 days asking me 200 Euro! Crazy!!!!

2 Euro and I repaired by myself in 20 minutes!

  • @valex76x Hoi Valex.. I'm also in Holland and the same thing from Samsung Nederland quoting EU200-250 for this repair. Question is, where did you get the replacement parts from? Hope you can give me details on items needed to fix mine. It's definitely the last Samsung product I buy. Gr.

  • @valex76x I am with you there. No more Samsung for me and we had 4 of them.

  • I have a Samsung repair kit that I don't need and want to give away to someone.

I posted an ad on LocalGrunts . com under Free.. First come first served.

    I

  • @1sames Ok... the repair kit has been claimed. I don't have another one.

  • Already past more than 30 minutes that I have requested Samsung representative to speak with her manager and she say the manager would cal me in about 30 minutes and unfortunately they are not calling back and this Samsung TV did not have volume.

  • We bought around 2007 SAMSUNG TV AND ON February the 7-8, 2011 we are having issues with the volume....so far we are calling several representative on Samsung for they can help with the volume issues the representatives are reluctant in helping us and they are suggesting for we can go to local services and get services from them because they cannot help us. I am unhappy with the customer service handling> I spend a lot of money on this tv. I am looking forward to keep going with this case...

  • You are a life saver (at least a couple-hundred-dollars saver). Thank you so much for these two videos. After some initial headache finding the right capacitor (Samsung used a pair of 2200 microfarad caps instead of 1000), I was able to fix the television no problem. Thanks again!

  • thanks alot for this vid, im looking to fix my own lcd tv that wont turn on.

  • Thanks for the video.. Started getting slow turn on times recently on our 4 year old 40" and replaced the caps. $7 fix.

  • On the phone with Sammy tech right now. They say they will offer a one time repair to replace busted capacitors free of charge, however if the problem is not the capacitors they will charge you a heft fee to fix the problem.

  • I just wanted to thank you for putting this up. The repair shop fixed my tv when it was under warranty. Once the warranty expired and the tv broke the exact same way, they wanted $100 to look at it and another $200-$400 to repair it. (What a racket) Thanks to you, I was able to fix it for $4.50 + $6 for the solder. I was so proud of myself. I can't believe Samsung would put use such shitty capacitors. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

  • I HAVE A SAMSUNG 55 LED TV AND THERE NO POWER ON EVEN THE STAND BY LIGHT NOT LIGHT UP IS THIS THE SAME LIKE YOUR. DO I NEED TO FIX THE CAPACITOR TOO.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH! We already had the "complimentary one-time repair" from Samsung about 4 months ago. And the thing just went AGAIN! They replaced the whole power supply board when they came. We opened it up and it had 2 wrecked caps. $30.00 in Radio Shack supplies and 1 hour later - good as new. THANK YOU!

  • I suggest that everyone who has a broken Samsung tv, return it to the U.S. headquarters in Ridgefield, NJ. I think they might get the idea that they have a faulty product if they are inundated with the actual faulty product.

    Samsung Electronics America, Inc.

    105 Challenger Rd.

    Ridgefield Park, NJ

  • I dont think I have ever posted a thing online ever, but I had to write thank you because I can't even believe I was able to do this..Im a 34 year old woman and I have never fixed a thing in my life. I watched your video, ordered all the supplies online (total of TWENTY SEVEN DOLLARS) and in an hour the tv is working perfectly. I cant thank you enough!!!

  • I have a cracked LCD 46" screen tv. Something hit the screen and now there are leaked spots

  • wow your tv starts messing up right after your warranty expires?....thats fucked up and sounds a little rigged. It starts dying after 1 year? damn that sucks too that almost sounds as worse as a vizio haha.

  • my tv was exactly the same 4 capcitors burnt out i went into belfast and bought them for 75 pence each the soldering kit cost me 12.99 i bought 2 extra capacitors im pretty handy had the job stripped down fixed put back together in hour and a half brillaint back on wall one click working perfect thank you for your advice saved me hundreds of pounds big dex west belfast......................

  • Thank you much. Fixed it with your help. Immediately turned on, no more clicking and no more colored lights all across the screen. Thumbs up from me!

  • Just wanted to say "Thank you!!" We had the same problem with our Samsung TV. We were at the point where it stopped coming on altogether. My husband and I watched your videos, fixed our TV (well...he really did all the fixing) and now it is like brand new. We really appreciate the videos - thanks again.

  • hello, my dad got a samsung fllat screen and he opened it up and dint touch anything to see why the screen will not work, it will turn on but the screen stays blank and does not flash or go fuzzy or anything. please reply, thanx

  • hi there, mine has no video but with sounds. Just when blank recently. Is it the same problem as yours? i just need to look for busted capacitors? Thanks.

  • This was great. Thanks for the help. I just have to get a helper now and I'll be all set.

  • Im having problems getting the cover off of the back of my 32inch Samsung it seems to be something holding it on around the Input Output section. I've taking out all the screws and can't understand what the problem is. If you have any advice I really need help thanks in advance. :-)

  • Yes!. this totally fixed my 2.5 year old samsung. i had gone tow radio shack and fry's for the capacitors, they did not have the same size items, so i went with a 2200mf, 35 v capacitors (2), it worked like a charm. my issue was not under a grill like this example, but it worked all the same.

  • @sfdudead There is another factor that needs to be taken into play when replacing these caps. There is a temp rating and your standard cap is 85 degrees centigrade. The caps for computer and electronics gear is 105 degrees.

  • Thank you for posting this video - our Samsung TV has had this problem for months now, and after an hour's work this afternoon it is fixed! Thanks for posting this and giving so much detail, it was very easy to follow.

  • Haha I should have watched part two b4 shooting off at the mouth >>>> a de-soldering tool is a must everybody there are some out there less sophisticated than the one employed by "the professor" he makes this look very easy but it does take skills and if possible practice on an old board to build your skills!

    GOOD ADVICE PROFESSOR?

  • Very informative and you are obviously skilled and the only i have found on YouTube guy who shows the removal process that was used . I would suggest to anyone not to employ this Technic as it tendency to quite unstable and very risky causing burns to the board or worse yet yourself not many people have the skills you possess.

  • Anyway I now called a local TV technician company, and they'll pick up the TV and fix it in the next 2 days. Probably a lot cheaper than samsung does it, too... and I'd rather support them than a greedy company who won't even admit to what seems to be a design flaw (at least not in my region, which is what matters to me).

  • Try calling again. I called and they are sending out a technician to fix it, for a one-time free fix/replacement of the capacitors, IF it is a capacitor problem. (If it isn't the capacitors, supposedly I pay for the service. Right.. :)

My sister also has a Samsung, with the same issue, she called and also has the

same result, free technician coming out.

Call 1-800-726-7864. Have the Full model# and Serial # for them.
