This worked for me when MW2 came out.. just find the config file and change r_drawWater "1" into r_drawWater "0"

@TheNightHawkRE I change that in the config.cfg file in the game folder.. you should have 2 of them.. one for single and other for mp.. change both like this r_drawWater "1" into r_drawWater "0"

@asurin007 Dont change it in the sp file. This is single player. that command tells it not to make the water, but there is water in single player. Idk what would but I dont want a game crash.

@videogames4ever322 I a couple of parts in the game I had fps drops.. from 60 steady to 30-40 .. I changed it in SP and played the entire game 60 fps silky smooth. That command doesn't deactivate water.. just some effect that I didn't notice. Try it.. if you have fps drops in some parts like Favella or that scene with all the sparks and fire.. use the command and you will see. ( this for SP of course )

@AgEnTFuBaR1 its still the same file .. go into where ever you put your mw2 folder then 'search' ( used the finder ) that folder for config mp, the draw water is about 3/4 down the page once opened with word.

@xxxkiller809xxx barley you would have to play at lowest resolution and lowest graphic settings just to get a playable feel. The problem is your graphics card. I use to have the radeon hd 3200 which was a little better then yours and i could just barley play the game comfertabley. so upgrade to a non integrated video card and you should be fine

@soloben2471 idk what was your problem the u couldn't play the game without lag. if you look at one of my videos i'm using the radeon hd 2400xt on high setting and i play in all the maps without lags. i get around 40fps to 50fps in some areas. also can play black ops i get around 30fps without n with 15fps or lower. i guess i can play the without lags is because i have 4gb of ram.

@magicedaa Just for info.. i fixed it.,. the problem was a little stealth button on an Alienware which i guess decrese the power consumption or something. It was reducing the FPS. I must have turned it on by mistake. When I tuned it back off it worked fine.
