  • you cant judge a member of our community for being her to a fault... as an out bisexual acceptance is the only answer

  • yay!!!!! my name is ani!!!!! she has my name!! ( or the other way around)

  • Oh yes indeed ms Difranco. Woot woot. I just love the interludes.

  • Vanni Loves Ani!!!!!

and no, i did not notice the four string geetar until now, is that what she usually plays???

  • I never realized she plays a 4 string tenor guitar, interesting!

  • nice song ..:-)

  • I was there!!! I couldnt find myself in the video though.... can we have that redone?!

  • is she playing a bass, because it sounds an awful lot like a guitar... but it only has four strings

  • @LittleBlackSparrow go play a fretless instrument. it'll change your perspective.

  • @LittleBlackSparrow tenor guitar

  • I want a guitar like that

  • I saw her live lots of times but she looks like she is having more fun in this one than when I saw her...still loved her shows though...

  • i absolutely love this song.

    i absolutely love this woman.

  • I think this is my favourite Ani song. I love how she seems so much more relaxed with the audience now. Though I wish the camera would stay on her for a bit longer sometimes, instead of jetting round the room just cause it can!

  • I love this song!

  • live at babeville has got to be my favorite ani dvd yet

  • I think by keeping up the lights she is inviting crowd interaction, it's about relating as feels right ; )

  • Very nice!

  • I finally found my song! The first verse makes me feel like someone picked me out of a crowd and said "Hey, Ani, write one about him". LOL

  • How can you not love and respect this woman!!!

  • @halfitalianchick Impossible!

  • Love her music!

  • Babeville's kosher considering her co.'s called Righteous BABE, for crepe's sake-fact is no one can know her stance except for her-so let it go. Frankly I'm glad she's relaxing a little, letting the audience join in, which she did when she performed Every State Line and You Had Time in Mpls last year-better than being uptight/lecturing people joining in on Dilate and turning the song into a "soccer chant". Lassez faire. The world's changed, time changes, and our Ani changes. She's still BOMB.

  • girl Ani rings true daaily lllamma rigns loops of hoops to jumpen thruem, yawn pan pingpong oot! short stick ruder pick your nose my friend

  • my heroin

  • So what if she named it babeville? She has songs named "Not a Pretty Girl" and "30 flavors", she has obviously never taken the title of anything too seriously. As far as selling out, i think its good shes player larger venues and getting the recognition she deserves! Plus, she has a child now to feed and why turn away extra cash? Her music hasnt changed, she still writing about what she always has, and just as passionately and thats all that matters.

  • The best

  • since when did ani start encouraging people to sing along? she used to ferociously scold that behavior.

hard to believe this tune is already 10 years old!

ani i still love you - but WHY did you name that venue *babeville*?

  • FFS!!... I am so sick of hearing "ohh ani sold out".. blah blah blah.. Thats basically what your saying without saying it.

  • I'm simply wondering 1) what made her do a complete 180 with regard to audience performance;

    2) why she named that concert hall that horrible name - it's just trite and, frankly, self-indulgent.

Got nothing to do with this notion of "selling out," which I don't think Ani did, and which I don't really care about anyway. People have the right to make their choices for whatever reason.

  • Yeah. How, exactly, does one "sell out" when they run the entire company?

Who, exactly, does she sell out *to*?

It is her car-tire/chicken-wire empire. Let her do it her own way. That's really kinda the point, eh?

  • thats why i dont go to concerts u here the person next tou u more then the music

  • if anyone has a problem with singing along with Ani then they simply don't love her. going to recent shows has been made made all the more special by those moments, which are truly beautiful to behold and be a part of. Singing along with Ani at any show is the highlight of that show and i am glad she finally encourages it.

  • @montego712 - The singing along doesn't bother me, however the fact that the crowd cheers and whoops every time she says something clever (which is every other line) really gets on my nerves. Do people do it to prove they get what she is saying? We know she is clever and her lyrics are outstanding but please wait until the end to acknowledge it.

  • @joshvideos I think it's just more unbridled excitement. especially being the opening song and one that is many people's favorite.

  • this is amazing!!

  • She's adorable.

  • Gosh... Crazy orgs. Great song. EN 4 ever...

  • absolutely beautiful!!!

  • Can you see my smile from here?

  • Thanks for posting this RBR! I thought y'all had forgotten about youtube since you hadn't posted anything in a while. I strongly encourage you to continue feeding us Ani fans more vids from your vast RBR archive.

  • OH THANKS!!! :D

Good to see a full song from the DVD!

...I posted the trailer hope it's ok
