@1337MrSam hide out. living space. in both games there are hidden rooms called Rattman Dens. this guy, the Rattman lived in the bowels of aperture plotting ways to stop GLaDOS with his BFF Companion Cube. Rattman drew on the walls leaving clues for Chell, or whoever might see them. yes, he was obsessed with her a bit, as seen in this game you see the giant mural when you get the blue portal gun, and here you see him drawing a bell-curve abiout Chell and tenacity.

I'm adding this comment to vids about this puzzle.

1. Take a water jug and block the laser before moving the block. Put the block in the room. Now it won't close.

2. Put one portal where the blue doorway is and one where the orange pic of Chell is on the wall. Stand halfway through. Now you can hear the transmission more clearly.

The ONLY part that I could make out is a very clear "Help me!" The pics make it seem that the message was meant for Chell.

does anyone notice that the music named 'subject name here' is playing as he is showing us this? (the song 'subject name here' is played in some testchambers in portal 1)

I found this aswell, and if you listen VERY carefully one of the boxes on the floors the ones with the apperture logo is on and is transmitting some sort of radio signal.
