He kept talking as much as he possibly could without completely changing the segment. He had to make it look like he was going to say it, because Miz was coming out there to try to sway his decision. The only other thing he could've done was be even more redundant and restart the sentence.

Del Rio definitely doesn't look as though he forgot anything, and was deliberately pacing his words and improvising when Miz didn't show up. It is possibly the director's fault for not telling the stage crew to play Miz's music, or maybe even a minor technical hiccup (unlikely).

@cypheraine17 Yes it IS only because he has made kennedy fired, he was suposed to become a main-eventer and a legend, he has won the money in the bank but a medical mistake made him loose it, he only got fired because he was just a middle-carder and orton was a main-eventer who is kissing the ass of the border directors and is crying and complaining every time he get hurts, I loved the legend killer but the viper sucks too much, heel or face, and as a smackdown babyface, he sucks even more

@greysanatomy07100 i gotta join in on this. kennedy may not be a great wrestler but hes much better than most of the talent roster wwe has thanks to the genius of john laurenitis. vince is an ass but he wouldnt do anything to intentionaly hurt his business. firing kennedy for no reason does that. your wrong, but either too stubborn toadmit it or too stupid to realize it

If anything, this shows Del Rio's inability to improvise when things don't go exactly as scripted. A more polished veteran would be able to cover without the obvious "that's your cue" pause.
