Paul has the best voice in rock n roll history. Allthough kiss is reconized as one of the greatest bands, Paul hasnt gotten the credit he deserves for his vocal abiliities.....His range is just incredable. So much power and soul in his singing.....................

Kiss Alive, ..... one of the first albums i pilfered from my two older brothers, they had recently seen them open for Uriah Heep. Damn near wore the grooves of that bitch. Ended up buying it on cassette and cd ... raw, gritty ..... damn near perfect live rock-n-roll ....

@sagginepari Ha ha, that's awesome! I dressed up as Gene Simmons for Halloween 94' which was my senior year in high school. The only person who knew I was dressing up was my friend Mike who dressed up as Ace. Most of my class mates didn't know it was me until I talked to them. Then that night I saw the Rolling Stones at the Oakland Coliseum. I can honestly say that was probably the best day of my life, even better than the day I got married.

Every time I think I've given up on this band entirely--usually when I see Gene shilling anything he can for money these days--I see something like this. And I'm 12 years old again, just in awe of this band! Ace...Paul...Peter...Gene. They were *my* Beatles.

It was basically because of Gene Simons and the costume he wore. He used to spit out blood (probablyl was really something else) and stuck is tongue out real far, thats supposed to be some kinda devlish thing, supposed to mean something. Of course with his makeup and outfit, he looked like some kind of demon too.

the Bass Gene is using is a Gibson Grabber. the Biggest difference between a grabber and a Ripper is the headstock. A ripper has a les paul like headstock and a grabber has a Flying V type headstock.

I played a G-3 Grabber for sometime 5-6 years ago (loaned), and it got 3 PUP (Fender Jazz type)
