Ryu's good but way most overused character on SF online along with Ken. I was playing for about 2 hours online in tournaments and I fought NOTHING but Ken and Ryu players with the exception of one Cody, it was complete bullshit. I main Fei Long and managed to beat most of them but still, it's no fun when people just choose the cheapest character hoping to win. This game is like a contest of 'whoever can spam the most' online wins.

@needo2new It's not as bad as you think it is. On the one hand, if you get caught by the full thing it sucks. On the other hand, it doesn't break focus attacks anymore unless they hit both times. So you can actually absorb the first hit and dash backwards to punish them on their way down. It's pretty balanced.

you guys realise that the double hit shoryuken has already been done in SF3:2nd impact. Basically, you had to EX it to make the first hit to knock over the enemy. But in this case, you might still be able to focus out of the 2nd hit?

@Yamato, Sometimes when players did a Focus Attack and Ryu players like myself did H. Shoryuken to counter it (since it has armor breaking capabilities), depending on the distance from you and your opponent, it would not break the Focus Attack however, now that it will have 2 hits, it guarantees for you to break the armor without you getting screwed like how it is now.
