Modern. Marching Bands do patterns in motions,and that's Suns style if you don't like you go to the concession or something. We aren't going to change. I am a Band Director I can set there and enjoy your Band performance and any other good Band.your band appreciation need expanding.

We are in the era of big boring bands. I remember a time when most bands, except FAMU, marched 128 to 160, were tight as hell and exciting. Now it's all about how big you are. Bands need to get back to finding the true excitement of HBCU halftimes. Most good HBCU bands will produce one damn good exciting show within one season and the rest of there shows are ok, good, or alright at best. Bring back the gimmicks, pageantry, and flare!

Nice solid show from Southern..one of my favorite SWAC bands, but I gotta go with FAMU. Their show was hot from top to bottom and the crowd came alive when they stepped on the field. They left out the dance routine where SU was booed for a minute for mimicing FAMU. But still a good show, Southern always represent...when it comes to halftime, you have to bring your A game against the 100,...not being biased because I dont go to either school...I just call it as I see it.

Southern is the undisputed beast in the stands and clearly won the 5th. But this field show was boring and disappointing. Nothing new, nothing creative and nothing exciting.

That's one of the reasons why the 100 Black Men of Atlanta wanted them there...plus the tradition between there storied universities...or didn't you know that. And guess what? They probably will be invited back next year....or possibly that other SWAC twin-like band from Jackson.
