the Iowa ARNG was releived by the 82nd airborne "Devils in poopy pants" and they were the most sorry excuse for a unti ever. Airborne Medic is a complete and utter idiot. I would not consider being selected for a contract company anything special dipshit. They are 3/4 of the problem in Iraq and Ghani. In my experience, every soldier in my platoon could give an IV. We cross train unlike the 82nd. Hey Airborne medic were u with the 82nd unit in Iraq that was making gay porn??
ok there guy, if the national guard is so high speed, why do contract companies (blackwater (Xe), triple canopy, dynacorp, armor group) not consider the national guard as a legit experience? They dont even look at resumes from national guardsmen, according to them, "it doesnt count". And also, based off of my experiences with NG medics in country in mascals and stuff, they are USELESS. Like, dont know the dose of morphine or how to give an IV.
For the record...the army national guard is NOT that same as the regular army! yes basic and AIT are the same, but once you get to your unit it is totally different. actually you do depending on when you go active i just joined and i can help you figure things out. The national guard is a good place to go if you feel you don't want that if you want more then all you have to do is go through the chain of command and they can station you in the regular army, marnies, navy whatever as long as as you inform a higher up.
