That's a pretty amazing video. Thanks for posting. Good to read that it doesn't necessarily mean the subject will be blind in that eye - it would be better to know the outcome! I know of one guy who has lost sight but with a much larger fly. I'm surprised it doesn't happen a lot more often. The best reason to wear eye-protection while flyfishing but even that doesn't give 100% protection. It's easy to do this by the way, just check out any flycasting video and you can see the risk.
