  • Generic, nothing unique

  • simplemente genial master from argentina talkyou ¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • So is it hard to do that in After Effects? Can you give any pointers, please? :)

  • @gosforthguy Simplest form of animation. Basically you just need to use some keyframes and move png image on top of the video footage. Use keyframes to "sync" the beginning and the ending. Then do some correction keyframes to the timing of tween. If you know After Effects at all you can do this easily. I'm sure there are great tutorials on YouTube.

  • awesome percussive solo! love the phrasing.

  • Pufff... Can't wait to hear the new album! That lick sound super lydian!

  • how did you get the TAB onto the video then have it move with the audio?

  • @gosforthguy Created the Tab image with Guitar Pro 6. Took it to After Effects and boom!

  • that was fucking brilliant

  • kinda sounds like cool van halen tune

  • this is one of the best riffs i've ever heared

  • mulla tollanen samanlainen paita mut en silti osaa soittaa lähellekkään nuin hyvin... miksi?

  • @agonyismyfriend Mahtavaa, Van Halen meets Elvis Presley. Oon huomannut että kalsareilla on enemmän vaikutusta soittoon!

  • IDK WHAT WAS WORSE THE SOLO OR THAT RIDICULOUSLY TALENTLESS INTRO!

  • @JackDawsonRMS IDK, You tell! Thanks for the feedback anyways, enjoy the day mate!

  • Wow you are my new favorite player!

  • which amp do you use for recording ? if hughes und kettner tube meister 18 then do you record as direct-out ? Thanks cool works!

  • @borlandwes Been using both H&K TubeMeister and Triamp for recordings now! So far haven't been experimenting with the direct-out. I should, but I'm an old school type of guy. I use 2-3 microphones in front of cabinet. Thanks!

  • damn, I was expecting something decent but holy shit, that was crazy.

  • I could so kill some monsters to this song XD

  • Great technique!

  • Amazing. Your tone is sweet to say the least, and playing was great very smooth.

  • You're amazing. Your playing style is so epic.

  • GOOD SCARY SONG!!

  • sul on muute sama sukunimi ku mulla :)

  • @Morrelz Fastfinger? ;)

  • @MrFastfingerNet ei, vaan tyyskä ;)

  • I can't wait for the new album. Loved the first. Very inspiring. You need to become "rated" vs underated :) Thanks very much.

  • Nice shirt Mika

  • @FrioneeeL @FrioneeeL Thank you, Ben Reuters Custom Guitar, H&K TriAmp, TC G-system, I think I used Menatone BlueCollar overdrive here for some extra cutting edge boost.

  • Dudee...very nice....

you really could use a new tone...If I were you (which I'm not...yet :] ) I would use a little more bass and just a little smell of delay....

You are now officially in my inspirational blackboard, who knows, Finland and Portugal might team up some of these days? hehe

Until then, keep those videos coming. \\nn//

  • @afms93 Thanks Mr. afms93, glad to inspire you!

You're right, I might add more low end to the tone during the mix. But you know, if you put too much low end to the guitar tone, you will easily enter the bass and kick drum territories. It's the balance of frequencies ;)

Anyways during the recording phase I find it clearer to work without too much low end. I hear the rhythm more accurate. Same with echos and delays. Usually add it during the mix, unless it really needs to be there for the feel.

  • @MrFastfingerNet

Yeah you are right, still a warmer sound could be better for your musicality...Plus it would be a less abrasive tone and it would be also a deeper sound. I find the tone from Steve Vai the best... It has the perfect settings, Satriani's a good one too and it has a lot more of Bass than Vai,

By the way...do I smell a little Zappa presence on your playing?

  • @afms93 Zappa? Can't hear it here myself, but I did spend my teen-age listening to all Zappa albums!

  • @MrFastfingerNet

Yeah...you kinda need some time to listen to Zappa's +60 albums, at least carefully.

Obviously, I would not just stick for this Arpeggio Sequence, I had to see them all ;)

Do you have any tip for me on playing the guitar? I was kinda stupid for buying a LP copy and now I'm stuck on techniques

  • @afms93 Yep, I did spend a few years mostly just listening to Zappa albums as a teenager. Best teenage music!

Hard to give any personal adviced with out hearing you play first. But one thing I can say. Know what you want to do with the instrument. Once you have a goal, figure out how to get there. Don't try to master little bit of everything. You end up being a little bit of okay in everything and not excellent in anything!

  • @MrFastfingerNet If the goal is to be excellent in everything one must first learn a little bit of everything. The more work committed the greater the progress - but it is important to remember that often in life the goal isn't as important as the way there.

Not that I would criticise your methods. The way you play is absurd. :D

  • God I love you Mika.

I like your music EXTRA much due to the "play along" feeling I/we all have with your songs. That, and the fact that you give us tabs are 2 perfect reasons for any guitarist to listen to your music. Keep it coming!

    Cheers from Denmark

  • @ESP4thaWin Thanks for the support Jakob! I'm only glad I'm inspising you to practice and enjoy guitar.

  • How did you get those two chords at the start before you began playing that riff? Your fingers didn't even seem to move, and yet you got two really nice chords out of it

  • @higofyp Oh, it's actually just one chord G sus4/D. 1st string 8fret / 2nd string 8 fret / 3rd string 7th fret. Overdrive makes it sound fatter than it really is :)

  • Great as usual Mika!! Great lick!

  • That was really awesome playing and technic...

Sounds like... god of guitars in the temple of Rock.

You are my inspiration, keep on Rocking !!!

  • @yamitanomura "God of guitars in the temple of rock" - what a compliment. Keep on playing!

  • Really great stuff there man

  • That's true! It's like R&H guitar intructionals! Was it a big deal to animate on video?

  • @secretosdelshred Not really. recycled old Fastfinger material. And putting the Tabs on screen was a quick job. BIgger challenge was the quality and color of the original footage. It was PINK :)

  • Really cool man !!!

  • MIka,your tone is Killer! awesome playing!

    Alex B

  • Can't wait for the new album! :)

  • And there I see the next musical piece every wannabe guitarist on youtube tries to cover.

  • @SomethinWild Would not see anything bad in this :)

  • Scary Stuff! I like!

  • I love it!

  • Love the super Lydian sound it has

  • Bravo Mika!!!! Loved the lick and the video, the tab sliding is very very useful

  • @secretosdelshred Great. Glad you find the tab useful. It wasn't so much work adding it there. It looks funny to me, reminds me of good old guitar instructional videos from the late 80's.

  • Elvis has left the building.

  • @Lervalo Yes, but it's dressed in Van Halen-ish graphics ;)

  • Hey Mr. Mika, this is fantastic!!!!

    Greetings,

    Dimi

  • That was amazing

  • Wow Mika that was really really impressive!

  • awesum

  • @guitarDouchebaggery Thank you for the compliment Mr. Georg! Again, I find inspiring stuff on your channel. Go-Go-Go!
