225 from mac is very good for blending. I think it might be discontinued now, but they have a smaller version of the 225. Don't remember the number off the top of my head, but it's a tapered blending brush.
Thanks for the review. I know precisely what you mean about eye brushes loosening up the top layer of shadows -- do you have a suggestion for some of those, too?
