to fix it just turn off voice recognition, the problem is when your character says it, the game stupidly takes what he just said and registers it do it's just a vicious cycle
Fuck you Ubisoft! I have had this game for six months now and today was the first time it actually let me put in my product key. now I have this bug. Your games have such potential but you are too retarded to get propper game testers and then fix your bugs. If I could retun this game on steam I would.
This error is simply the most annoying thing I have ever seen in a game... I really love this game but for some reason the gaming expirience is ruined...
this is so frigin' anoying. i checked all my stuff. mouse, keyboard, cyber sniper pad and it is all functioning. This is fuckin' rediculous. Ubisoft damn u and your stupid bugs.
Go into the settings for your microphone (usually your audio card). There should be a panel that controls your volume. Change your microscope volume to zero (even if you don't even have one!) Don't turn the microphone off... set it to zero. It should work.
I'm on your side entirely and I want a solution to this problem just as badly as you, I just thought it was kinda funny how mad you keep getting, though I can't blame you! :D
I hope Ubi DOES fix this problem and REALLY soon. I'm gonna take my game back if they don't.
Sorry for double post, but i couldn't fully fit this on last comment, the way i fixed the issue during a mission is to turn on and off voice recognition or plug and unplug the mic. However you will need to do this at the start of each new main mission.
I have the exact damn bug, I also get repeats machine guns sounds, as of right now I feel i have been scammed yet out of another Rainbow Six game. I have had the unlimited annoying machine gun fire in both 1 and 2, I believe ubisoft doesn't know what the bug is and how to fix it and they wont fix it because their lazy money hungering rip-off artists, Assassin's Creed was also a big let down. I love Vegas 2, but these bugs need to be fixed before I can fully play it.
Its got nothing to do with voice recognition as has already been pointed out. I have my mic turned OFF, unplugged, and voice recognition OFF and i still get plenty of random phantom orders that are beginning to render the game near unplayable at the later stages in increased difficulty. This bug needs correcting in the worse way
I have the same problem. I can just mouse look, hands completely off the keyboard and the squad commands will auto generate. I have XP 32bit Pro, Geforce 7900, Logitech G15 keyboard, Logitech G5 laser mouse, AMD quad core phenom, etc...
This bug has made the game unplayable in single player because I'm constantly having to reassign my squad in an attempt to keep them alive.
Oh, one more thing to include, this also occurs off the get go when you have voice recognition off when you begin a mission from the frontend menu. So hope this helps you in your progress in Vegas2. Happy fragging! 8-)
(sorry bout the spam, had to correct my spellin' 8-P)
Ok Cobrabase, this is wut the issue is, its of course voice recognition. Notice how u were talking during this video. This issue occurs when you turn off voice recognition and complete a mission. Even though it is turned off in options when you progress to the next mission, voice recognition it will still register as on. To work around this issue, after completing a mission, you need to go into options and turn voice recognition on and then turn it back off. Its annoying but it works. Cheers!

wow, this stinks, i came here for a solution, not to get more frustrated with this problem. oh well. you'd think i would just learn my lesson and download games illegally and then when crap like this occurs i could just move on.
Also set the voice recognition setting in the game settings to off and the sensitivity to 1. It does seem to depend on each individual system whether these tricks work or not, which makes this bug even more frustrating. I don't know if a fix is being worked on or not but if enough people make enough noise, maybe they will get to it faster.
Same thing here. Had to go into the PC sound settings and turn the record setting for the microphone all the way down. Now the PC can't hear anything from the mic so it has to be turned up again to use Skype and such. As long as it's turned down though, the game doesn't give random commands. They need to fix this because this workaround is a pain and makes the voice recognition feature in the game totally pointless.
