Interesting grip, placing your left index finger under your trigger finger. Just more comfortable for you or does it help with trigger pulls? I generally keep all my fingers "out" on top of my right hand.
@MichaelBarnes i bet just that repetitive motion cause a ''pasive'' scan an your not actually able to see anything. just left right for show if you ask me
Dude I bet you couldn't touch the barrel for a least an hour LMAO! Any slide bite? i like a high grip too. What NINE MEELEE ammo were you using, loud as FOOK lol!
@mrmidnight32 17L came only in a 6" barrel 9mm. it predates the G34 which is also 9mm but only a 5.25" barrel length. The 17L--9mm and 24--.40SW are no longer in production but if you dig around enough you can find one new. Still missing my 24c :'(
i have a 35 with a 9mm barrel in it- it's great. I don't shoot it as much any more since I didn't like having a light trigger and felt the the 17 and 19 were more challenging.
@MichaelBarnes Yeah man i picked it up a week ago. I love it, i gotta say tho i made the mistake of holding the 17L right bf i walked out and now i want that dude also. It looks so sweet
in the beginning i know you are supposed to scan and look for targets after you shoot, but you seem to do it so fast, is that just because you are just training and you know there isnt a threat, if i did it that fast i would just see a blur and not enemies, just curious.
for the scan to the front i can get away with the quick looks, but when i check behind me i slow down and do a way more deliberate scan.
usually good practice to have a guy standing somewhere and occasionally hold up a certain amount of fingers then ask you how many fingers he was holding up- that usually squares away how fast you're able to scan without just posturing
@MichaelBarnes I dont know why you think i am posturing, i didnt stick out my chest when i wrote that comment, it was a legitimate question. Scanning just doesnt pertain to shooting techniques, you could scan in a car when changing lanes. If i did a scan like that i wouldnt be able to judge the speed or distance and have at times didnt see a car until i had to take a second slower look. i hope im not taking it the wrong way
sorry if it sounded that way but im not saying you're posturing at all- i'm just saying it's a good exercise to see how fast one is able to scan. i'm sorry if it came off as me being negative
I found you! You know how hard it was to track down the dude who made those impressive videos? (115 music video, and more) Do you use Twitter?
As a graphic artist and former 3d modeler, I'd kill to sit in with and watch how you create something. You work and sense of vision with camera angles and direction is appreciated.
@MichaelBarnes i see, that's a good point because im sure you dont want the gun recoiling and hitting you in the face..
but when it recoils straight back, does that help with accuracy? because you're not dealing with the barrel moving out of position as much as it does when it recoils upward
I miss your short films mate, will you be making any more any time soon? I always like coming back and checking out your films, always remind me of some epic Michael Mann action :)

Great handling but every time i see you do the whole 'scan and assess' gimmick i can't help but laugh... Not only does it look ridiculous, it makes you look like you're playing wannabe soldier.
in the United States firearms are not exclusive to soldiers, civilians are allowed to own and use firearms in self defense. situational awareness is generally taught in CCW and introductory level firearms courses since using a firearm comes with a great deal of responsibility and attention from others. being cognizant of the effects of discharging a firearm in your environment is important, exercising this at the range is value added- practice bears nothing but fruit
i notice in your videos that as you shoot, you seem to point your elbows outward. im curious to know why, does it decrease recoil or increase stability?
@DarkGenesis15 mike mentioned in previous video he used this stance/posture to minimise the upward jerk of the gun by distributing the force of the recoil is horizontally as the elbows are positioned opposite to each other - the converse is the recoil reacts with both elbows pointing downwards & thus increases muzzle climb
i am paraphrasing here mind as i actually have zero gun experience
@dougangotblocked ahh alright thanks for the clarification! i just dont normally see people in that sort of shooting position, so i was wondering if it was because it reduces recoil. i guess it does!
and I thought my G34 was long
