  • and I thought my G34 was long

  • i subscribe right now

  • forgive me for stupid question. the 17L has a longer barrel therefore more velocity and accuracy?

  • What a boss. God dam that barrel could spark a blunt after that my friend?

  • @psifactor12 Notice how you have 0 thumbs up...

  • bang bang bang bang bang bang bang yay

  • Interesting grip, placing your left index finger under your trigger finger. Just more comfortable for you or does it help with trigger pulls? I generally keep all my fingers "out" on top of my right hand.

  • @Kvjavs

i can only do this with glocks and M&P's. it helps me increase grip pressure with my support hand

  • @MichaelBarnes Ah ok thanks! :D

  • @MichealBarnes Are you Military, law enforcement or security

  • Nice reloads

  • Mike whats that crack (?) on your left shades?

  • Woooo your quick bro!

  • subbed

  • I cant stop laughing!! hahahaha..

  • mike why you look around to the left and right every time you finish the shooting?

  • @tomljc2006

it's a scan and assess, just being aware of one's surroundings after discharging a firearm

also a good excuse to make sure everyone is watching when I do a good reload

  • @MichaelBarnes Haha, now I get it. It will be your personal identification :D

  • @MichaelBarnes i bet just that repetitive motion cause a ''pasive'' scan an your not actually able to see anything. just left right for show if you ask me

  • Subscribed, you should do reviews and your opinion on some guns!

  • Dude I bet you couldn't touch the barrel for a least an hour LMAO! Any slide bite? i like a high grip too. What NINE MEELEE ammo were you using, loud as FOOK lol!

  • What's the difference between the 17L and the 34??

I have a 17 and held a 34 yesterday. Man does the 34 feel awesome.

  • @mrmidnight32 17L came only in a 6" barrel 9mm. it predates the G34 which is also 9mm but only a 5.25" barrel length. The 17L--9mm and 24--.40SW are no longer in production but if you dig around enough you can find one new. Still missing my 24c :'(

  • fix your arm before you get stuck like that

  • @wheremonkey15 At least he knows how to shoot well... Michael I'm interesting in seeing some target shooting...

  • Is that a Gen 4? The brass doesn't seem to be ejecting very far. Any jams so far? Thanks

  • @MichaelBarnes:

Can I get an ID on the holster you're using?

  • That sound! Man! It's like the God of Thunder is talking.

  • For a safety check to make sure no one is around them he clears his barel just incase there is another bullet in the barel

  • why do you look around after shooting?

  • @az0997711 check for enemies. standard procedure.

  • @az0997711 In case there are black people around

  • @waktasz ROFL

  • Nice fast shooting.

    いい早撃ちだ。

  • Thinking about picking up a 34 next week. Are you still running it and is it worth buying?

  • @cory07ink

i have a 35 with a 9mm barrel in it- it's great. I don't shoot it as much any more since I didn't like having a light trigger and felt the the 17 and 19 were more challenging.

    great gun, you'll like it

  • @MichaelBarnes Yeah man i picked it up a week ago. I love it, i gotta say tho i made the mistake of holding the 17L right bf i walked out and now i want that dude also. It looks so sweet

  • @cory07ink

    ha, i know the feeling

  • @MichaelBarnes

    nice shooting!

are you clamping the pistol with your left index finger? doesn't it kinda get in way of your triger finger?

I'm trying to figure out a pistol hold that works for me and you seem like a bad ass shooter

  • nice and quick reloading! shit i want to be that fast

  • Nice reloading.

  • DISLIKE :-(((

  • @wilmerpola777

    Why?

You cant dislike anyways you idiot there's no rating system.

  • Sorry for the ignorance, but is there a particular name for that stance/grip? P.S. you've got good videos.

  • nice technique!

  • in the beginning i know you are supposed to scan and look for targets after you shoot, but you seem to do it so fast, is that just because you are just training and you know there isnt a threat, if i did it that fast i would just see a blur and not enemies, just curious.

  • @nextbillionaire1

for the scan to the front i can get away with the quick looks, but when i check behind me i slow down and do a way more deliberate scan.

usually good practice to have a guy standing somewhere and occasionally hold up a certain amount of fingers then ask you how many fingers he was holding up- that usually squares away how fast you're able to scan without just posturing

  • @MichaelBarnes I dont know why you think i am posturing, i didnt stick out my chest when i wrote that comment, it was a legitimate question. Scanning just doesnt pertain to shooting techniques, you could scan in a car when changing lanes. If i did a scan like that i wouldnt be able to judge the speed or distance and have at times didnt see a car until i had to take a second slower look. i hope im not taking it the wrong way

  • @nextbillionaire1

sorry if it sounded that way but im not saying you're posturing at all- i'm just saying it's a good exercise to see how fast one is able to scan. i'm sorry if it came off as me being negative

  • What muffs are you using? Electronic?

  • @CajCoo

yes, they're MSA Sordin Supreme Pro-X

  • I found you! You know how hard it was to track down the dude who made those impressive videos? (115 music video, and more) Do you use Twitter?

As a graphic artist and former 3d modeler, I'd kill to sit in with and watch how you create something. You work and sense of vision with camera angles and direction is appreciated.

  • @MichaelBarnes i see, that's a good point because im sure you dont want the gun recoiling and hitting you in the face..

but when it recoils straight back, does that help with accuracy? because you're not dealing with the barrel moving out of position as much as it does when it recoils upward

  • @DarkGenesis15

i wouldn't say it helps with accuracy as much as it allows for faster follow up shots since the sights are barely moving

  • I miss your short films mate, will you be making any more any time soon? I always like coming back and checking out your films, always remind me of some epic Michael Mann action :)

  • @psychovisioncreation

i'd like to continue making them but i don't have the same amount of time and resources like i used to

  • have you or do you plan to enter any competitions? you seem very good

  • @scrubrat90

thanks. none at the moment, i'd like to get into some idpa or uspsa matches when i have the time to

  • "Sleight Of Hand" much :D

  • @robpr26

in the United States firearms are not exclusive to soldiers, civilians are allowed to own and use firearms in self defense. situational awareness is generally taught in CCW and introductory level firearms courses since using a firearm comes with a great deal of responsibility and attention from others. being cognizant of the effects of discharging a firearm in your environment is important, exercising this at the range is value added- practice bears nothing but fruit

  • リロードが正確で早くてすごいです

  • i notice in your videos that as you shoot, you seem to point your elbows outward. im curious to know why, does it decrease recoil or increase stability?

  • @DarkGenesis15 mike mentioned in previous video he used this stance/posture to minimise the upward jerk of the gun by distributing the force of the recoil is horizontally as the elbows are positioned opposite to each other - the converse is the recoil reacts with both elbows pointing downwards & thus increases muzzle climb

i am paraphrasing here mind as i actually have zero gun experience

  • @dougangotblocked ahh alright thanks for the clarification! i just dont normally see people in that sort of shooting position, so i was wondering if it was because it reduces recoil. i guess it does!

  • I likea dis video you got hurr

  • great reloads

  • you are going faster i see that ..

  • @shicetube

*you are faster now, i see that .. (youtube.com got no editbuttom)

  • We can go longer.

  • what camera do you use michael?

  • @leemayzes

this was a friend's canon rebel t3i, just recently bought one for myself

  • @MichaelBarnes After seeing these videos you made me buy one.

  • damn i love glocks.

  • bad mofo! :D

  • :02 Sleight of Hand Pro

  • quick question :

is it more acurate because its longer?

    ....cool vid...

  • @igneous061

that's the intent- I find it's great for distance work, but for shooting with a higher cadence of fire I don't care for it

  • @igneous061 longer sight radius may make the shooter more accurate..but a longer barrel doesnt mean accuracy, it means more velocity.

  • How much longer is it compared with the standard 17?

  • @KarlMarklund

    inch and a half

  • @MichaelBarnes K, which one feels better?

  • Gen 3?

  • @ryusekai

    yes
