I have been using this MP3 player for about 2 months and usually swim for about 1 hour. My main conclusion to date is that swimming with this gadget is most probably better than without - but it is far from perfect. The main problem I have is getting water in my ears. If that happens, then you basically hear nothing. If I am lucky, this does not happen, i.e. I get my one hour done with a more or less decent sound. But usually after about 1km you get water in your ear and then that's it...
@0111001101100001 Not really, unfortunately... But after a while you do kinda figure out the best way to position them so minimal water gets in. I think that issue might be a little unavoidable though.
am in japan and my swiwming coach got me these wireless earbuds? its like a hearing aid and a little thing go in the end of your ipod the range is around 150 meter or so its a bit short but since the pools are 25 meter its works pretty well
Can you also swim with the extensions? Because when I extend my earphones, there is still a milimeter jack - metal visible. thanks in advance for your quick reply
@TH6476 Come to think of it, I haven't actually tried swimming with the extension. There isn't anything stating that this would be a problem, though, so it should be safe. Just a guess though -- sorry for the lack of insight here!

Thanks for the review! Did you ever find a solution to the "water getting in the ear" issue? or do you just have to put up with it kinda thing?

do you have to use special headphones with it or will it work with any normal headphones?
mikee286 1 year ago
@mikee286 It works with any headphones, but make sure they're waterproof if you're using it in the pool! The headphones it comes with are waterproof.
tiana33 1 year ago
@tiana33 I didn't think any headphones were water proof completely they just have no bass after getting wet

@moojoa Thanks! I use Windows 7. I just plugged it in and transferring music is a simple drag-and-drop using Windows Explorer.

How do you use it when swimming? Do you put it in your pocket?
lingberagh 1 year ago
@lingberagh Just clip it on to your goggles or clothes, it wedges pretty securely on there. :)
