Yeah I knew about this during Sega Genesis days more than a decade ago.  However, this is not a "glitch" at all. Even if it was, you really don't need that many lives to beat final boss at the end. Still helps though!

@nWoJeRiChO yeah, not a glich. but then again, glitches are faults in the game and it is a fault in the game since i doubt that they did that knowingly. but it helps if you're going for first place in the leaderboards =)
