05 mustang going from GTA to Borla

you know the gta ford racing mufflers are designed by borla right?

had the fm first, went to borla stingers, now have pypes mid muffler and will never go back. im running a bassani catted x and the stingers sounded good but seemed to be to bassy not bright at all. the pypes system is nice and deep but very prononced.also almost no drone with the pypes as the borlas drove me crazy at 1800/2200 rpms. i guess its all in the ear as to what you like best.

The Borla stingers sound much better. I'm running the stingers on mine and love them. I also love the cervinis duck tail. I think its a must have on the S197 and will be getting one next year.

A good sounding muffler is bad on gas..... cuz u always want to accelerate more than usual to hear the mufflers :)

For some reason when I see Borlas in real life they sound too ricer like with the deep tone, the GTAs have a real old school muscle tone

what can i tell you as an owner of borla stingers in my 04 GT. I have been getting a lot of complements lately. I use to have flowmasters weld in but I decided to switch and dont regret it a single bit. Its true that borlas sound like an old muscle car but borlas have a deep sound and rumble which I prefer. check my videos to check them out. I have never hear any other mustang with borlas or gtas in my area. All I hear is flowmasters and I just like to be different too.

Deeper sound with the Borlas but the darn GTAs don't sound all that bad really. Good thing is the Borlas sound better all the time. :)
