  • there is way more life out there and they are way way way way smarter than us.. millions of years of technology ahead of us

  • well done, while it's hard to comprehend such huge numbers it's also hard to comprehend the incredible ignorance of most of the people on this planet who aren't even capable of contemplating their own existence...namaste

  • This made me want to jump in a rocketship and explore the other planets of life

  • @WallCarBoatHead not in your lifetime

  • Wow....is that music playing all through out space? ??? LOL

  • this video is making me nostalgik....i miss Krypton

  • when i die i want my body to be sent off into space where i can float in its silent serinity and vask in its beauty forever!!! no offense to the pale blue planet but after what its put me through i need some space lol no decomposing for mee ^-^

  • @MetalKladCicada91 don't worry, it won't be necessary to send your dead body into space...your atoms and the consciousness lying within will automatically be returned to the universe

  • REALITY is awesome!!!! The supernatural is not real! It is things of fairy tales, ghost stories, imaginations, holy books and religion. The light of stars crosses the universe and I can see it reflect from my skin. I can FEEL the warmth of the Sun as it floats in the void of space 93 million miles away! Open your eyes and mind. Pull your head out of religion and feel the unrelenting, beautiful wonder of space.

  • who know maybe our universe was created by people like us imagine us a little black ball in a case and a description of whats inside as people pass by and take a look. then one day we roll free to the ground and our universe shatters

  • the universe is insignificant to us as to mean whatever its size is its irelivent to our situation. which means we are not the irelivent ones. the universe was created for us and our being.we will never hold the knowledge of the unseen.so to this all i can say is that allah constructs what he wills and says to it be and it is! he does whatever he wills and he is the ruler of all the worlds.as it states in the quran in every chapter.this means there are more than just one world but wel never know

  • @lamboclutch I find it kinda selfish saying universe was created for us and our being. We just "happened" and we will perish while the universe continues its history. Also, Allah? What does religion has to do with this?Religion has only tought us hate, wars, fanatism, religion is responsible for all terrble things happened (and still happening unfortunately)to humanity. Please, keep your narrow-mindedness for your self and witness the beauty of the cosmos, read some other books besides quran too.

  • Why do people say that we are an insignificant spec in the Universe? I think we are much more important than that.

  • w0w thats a whole lot of galaxy ..and in those galaxy there aRE planets just like the planets that we have in our galazy ..and one of those planet THERE HAS TO BE ANOTHER FORM OF LIFE ..IM TALKING ALIENS !!!!..if not ..WHAT A WASTE OF GALAXY !!

  • Oh ha ha I wasn't suggesting that through man made technology we would create galaxies. I was more saying that by becoming like god we would someday maybe create galaxies :D.

  • @Zella456

Then makes even less sense. The answer is no

  • @m0osey Why not? Prove it. =)

  • @m0osey This is awesome music for the video, great job and thank you!

  • @Zella456 maybe, we already theoretically know how to make stars. Who knows what makind can do in tens thousnads of years from now(if we dont go exinct).

  • @ajcool240 , Thats funny you should mention "if we dont go extinct" If we dont even have power over our own extinction then we will never have the power to create anything amazing like galaxies. UNLESS we follow the counsels of God and become like him through serving him and knowing him.

  • I don't think we are insignificant. :) Maybe we will create galaxies some day.

  • no, we won't create galaxies.

  • How on earth do you know? :)

  • @Zella456

Because it's impossible and will serve no use

  • @m0osey Exactly, how on Earth do you know? Don't be so closed-minded.

  • @m0osey Again, how can you predict the future? LoL. Open your mind man.

  • @Zella456 ...how the fuck are we gonna create galaxy??

  • of all those hundreds of trillions of plantets with life, we are the only one killing ourself. and we call ourself intelligent life?

  • @liam786024 how do you know. have you met them ?

  • NICE.. VID!! what's the name of the song??

  • Trop belle music !!! Chui tombé amoureux !

    Thanks you men =D

  • I will never become weary of feeling small- it keeps me motivated and passionate about it all. We can never know enough about the universe. Carl Sagan was my savior, and I believe he would have appreciated this. Best of luck with your book; I support a fellow resident of the cosmos! I could never believe for one blip of a moment that we are the only intelligent, sentient life.

  • here here. appreciated

  • Amazing insight to the true meaning of life on this little planet.

  • and another thing thats bring to my mind is.last i saw a documentery on History channel about the universe about that we humans could live on Mars i personely think that is Impossible.Because the Universe is pretty to look at but at the same time its verry violent up there ps would like to see it anyway

  • i am thinking because i want to buy a nice Horoscope or lens to watch at night at the stars etc etc so many things to see it makes you realise how SMALL we are

  • hello moosey nice video sir, well i like to think that there is more than us humans out there, because if we watching or looking for other planets, there could be another Culteres or Species watching us or searching for us,because the UNIVERSE is Insanely big

  • hi, thanks for you comment.

You're spot on there, it is insanely big.

  • what song is this?

  • Comment removed

  • ?????????????

  • got a question?

  • There will never be anything like us again, on any world, any galaxy, anywhere which means we are unimaginably rare and wonderful

    --- shivers me ---

  • @bloodyhellboy92 How do you know that?

  • @bloodyhellboy92

Yes we are unimaginably rare and wonderful! But we are far from saying we are the only inteligent multi-celled organisms in the entire universe. Your centence only reinforces the fact that humans are so neive to think that we know the answer to that question, the brain has no capacity to even comprehend it. But its cool hellboy, ill just tell Nasa to stop exploring space as you know the answers already. :) Just remember the earth was flat 300yrs ago, we dont know everything :P

  • Completely astonished! allow me to congratulate you for this masterpiece... at least the messages that resonate from the video are amazing... especialy the ending text... very good job! if I was able, I would have rated this 10/5 !!

  • Well thanks a lot, i appreciate your positive feedback. That means a lot to me. You know it is all the comments I've been receiving on this video that has inspired me to write a book on my thoughts of the universe, much of which i think I've conveyed in this video. So thanks to you and everyone else, I never expected such a warming response from the youtube community.

  • really good

  • Truly exceptional video. Thanks for your work and sharing it.

We've spent a vast amount of time NOT examining space as we could be, and for that matter, not SHARING the experience with ALL of humanity.

It is time to change this;to afford the entire humanity of the planet its heritable right to the highest education possible, life enhancing technology and a higher lifestyle of living. Support the Venus project and the Zeitgeist movement. With cooperation we can have the world we all deserve.

  • Wonderful!

  • Thank u guy, from france.

I enjoy this video, feeling what Earth is, what humans are against the hole universe.

Beautiful music, truthful but scaring words.

I keep this video, to imagine what the universe could be. Are there other populations ? other planets with life ? Anybody ?

    Thx u

  • you people are so funny funny funny ,,,,

  • Just watch and think !

  • m0osey, this is Lockandload off CoD 4, seen you around a bit. I'd first like to say this has changed my thoughts on the universe, etc.

    Also, i want this song

  • hey man, glad you liked it. but it wouldn't be me on cod because i actually haven't played in a year lol. The song is Celtic Panpipes by ride on (i think).

    thanks

  • nice video!!!.........

    question.....

you know how far Hubble reached into the universe with "deep field" billions of light years???

shouldn't we be able to see a Solar System in the Andromeda Galaxy which is only 2 million light years away???.......

  • Well solar systems are incredibly small compared to a galaxy and we have anough trouble seeing solar systems in our own galaxy. We usually detect the presence of planets using indirect methods of observation as the brightness of the star makes it difficult (nearly impossible) to see planets. The most common way to detect planets is to wait until the planet pases infront of the star, this will make the star dimmer and this can be measured....

  • ... In other galaxies, it is just about impossible as you can't make out individual stars. Also, it would be hard to see a planet pass infront of the star becasue most solar systems are with the plane of the galaxy and if the galaxy is facing us, the planet won't pass in front unless the solar system is at the right angle from our perspective. Hope that answers your question, sorry about the spelling, I'm a bit rushed.

    Thanks

    - Daniel

  • Perhaps a clearer reason is that the galaxies in the deep field are about 10,000 times further away than the andromeda galaxy, whilst a solar system would be hundreds of billions of times smaller than the andromeda galaxy. Making them angularly millions of times smaller.

  • Thanks Daniel............hope some day that they can look closer into the Andromeda Galaxy. Seems like they could, but I'm just a layman ;-)

  • Then what was before 13.7 billions years ago

  • i think it relate to the time and space we are in now ,o shit we just moved on ,so its the time and space we are in , the matter that enbled it was redreceted at that time i think is what there trying to get through there drule socked lips ,,,,

  • There was no time. Space-Time as we know it began 13.7 billion years ago. Science doesn't adress the events before the big bang as it cannot be predicted using the laws of nature we are familiar with. Whatever happened before has no consequense on what's happeneing now. Thus 13.7 billion years ago was the start of our universe because it is when space and time began, the four forces separated and then matter developed as it cooled.

  • Why dont you actually go to school, get a graduate degree in Astronomy and work HARD to answer your specific question...

Too hard insnt it? You'd rather stay sit in front of the computer without even trying to read or think for A BIT...

Get a book and learn about it, dont expect to get every question you wanna get answered just watching youtube!

  • It's okay, i don't mind answering questions.

Some people don't have the opportunity to learn. It does take a lot of commitment and if people just have an interest, rather than an occupation in Astronomy, I think it's fine to come onto the internet and ask questions.

  • Hey Moosey, it's not about the opportunity to learn...it's about the will. People nowadays ask random, very direct questions as every answer was due to them.

What I say to them is: get the basics, formulate a proper question and then...ask it! :)

  • Maybe you know the answer, can you please kindly enlighten me?

  • Can you read?

  • Did you read my answer?

It's just below for you. Don't worry i don't think there was anything wrong with your question ; )

  • i think we cant answer this question yet.

just close ur eyes, take a pencil and a piece of paper, and create what u want to imagine

  • we can never answer it definitively like you said but it is a pretty good guess using the evidence we have

  • Earth is the most disgusting rock in the solar system/milky way/universe, it needs to be totally destroyed and wiped out from our solar system

  • Yeah with just you on it while the rest of us SANE people take of and find a great place to live without dicks like you talking crap.

  • Wao, 6.25 trillion planets with life in the universe using a conservative estimate. Incredible. Wonder what civilization in all those planets is the wisest and which one shows the worst appreciation for itself and its environment.

  • well I think one of the leading candidates for the worst appreciation would be us haha.

    thanks for your comment

  • lol, yey at least we win something!

  • @cuprum166 Maybe it's our purpose to fuck up the planet, just like mould grows on a sandwich. The individual cells of mould don't know they are ruining the sandwich, they jsut go about their business. Maybe it's our purpose to destroy the planet.

  • @kid43332 doubt it.

  • one of the best videos i have seen in a long time

  • well thankyou very much

  • i just came buckets

  • O M G

  • this is really interesting nice video

  • thankyou

  • I feel like having sex right now ... cuz I want to populate the universe with 10 more ppl

  • omgf dude what got me was the music i loved it i just woke up i wanted to sleep some more

  • I need to know the music too, its so calming. Perfect background music for this vid

  • It's called Ride On. This version is by the Celtic Panpipes, but the original version is by an Irishman named Christy Moore.

  • it will be so sad to see earth destry by it self fault of uf humans...: (

    awesome video love it!

  • Brilliant video! I'm favouriting this, it's excellent. thankyou very much. 5/5

  • check out my website

    cosmicquestions(dot)co(dot)nr

  • awsome vid

  • COOL

  • Nice vid...Nice picking the song...touching!!!

Great tribute to one of the greatest astronomer ever!!!

    5/5

  • thankyou very much

  • wats the name of the music in the back

  • Ride on - Celtic Pan pipes!!...have you seen the hubble ultra deep field video?

    Highly Recommended!!!!

  • thank you indeed

  • very nice. Thanks from Nitin

  • thanks man

  • Very nice video. I'm looking forward for more videos like this.

  • thanks I'll do my best to make some more =)

  • The thing that saddens me is knowing that I'll be long gone before we get to explore anything outside of our own solar system. I honestly do hope that we, as a species, live long enough to get out there.

    Fantastic video. 5/5. Fav'd

  • thanks a lot i appreciate it. I also think it's a shame that we're wasting our time down here. we have the ability to go far and to explore the milky way however we're held back because 99% of the world's population has no idea what's out there and no one seems to care. As long as we're happy on earth, nothing seems to matter.

    Thanks for your comment =)

    - Daniel

  • Awesome!

  • thanks

  • this was great. alittle tear.

  • thanks for your comment. Nice to see you enjoyed it =)

  • amazing video!

    make more, like this vid

    best regards from

    austria

  • thanks for the comment. I'll consider making more like this. Glad you liked it

  • Nice

  • thank you

  • That was awesome. Unfortunately, we are destroying ourselves. Once every person is wiped off the face of the earth, it will start all over again.

  • too true. It would be a shame for us however life will continue and it would be like we'd never existed. I believe that while we're lucky enough to be here we should understand and explore the one thing that matters, the one thing that will be here after we're gone - the universe. There's nothing better (except possibly card tricks =P)

Thanks for your comment Jay. nice to see you drop by at my channel =)

  • Hey Daniel, that was one of the best vids I've seen, and the music inhanced it perfectly, really a great job,BTW do u think we are alone????????

    JIm

  • wow thanks for the comment Jim. I think that if we're alone... it's an awful waste of space. I have no doubt in my mind that the universe is crawling with life. the question is about intelligent life. Now humans are well on the way to destroying themselves. I often wonder as Carl did whether other civilizations would destroy themselves too. Given long enough, using up all resources. I believe there IS intelligent life out there but I don't think we'll be around long enough to find them.

    - Daniel

  • You invoke The Sagan - how can i not favorite this?

  • thanks i appreciate it. Carl was a great man

  • that's scary. Damn we are small. 5/5 from me too. Nice video

  • thankyou

  • wow... just wow. Beautiful video 5/5

  • thanks heaps
