Im not against fighting in hockey, but should make the penalty stiffer, like adding fines, they could still fight but would have to pay a fine for it, I think it sends the wrong message to kids who play hockey, like its ok to beat the crap out of your opponent, just because he made you mad, I think there should be lest fighting, im ok with a little bit of fighting, but hockey is not just not all about fighting.

If there wasn't any fighting do you really think there would be nearly as many fans coming out to games? Hockey's a fucking intense sport and fightings the only way these players can really release all that rage that builds up during the game. I know the games not ALL about the fighting, and thats why i love the sport, but its fun to watch acouple fights because it adds to the emotion of the game. I wish all sports allowed fights, then maybe I'd actually give a shit about baseball.

@LordExusta I'd say baseball among the major sports in America has the second most fights during games, second to hockey of course. You rarely see fights in basketball (worst sport ever) or football. You can count on at least a dozen or so bench clearing brawls in baseball. In basketball the last awesome fight i can think of was like 7 years ago at the Pacers game when the players fought the fans. That's it. Football fight are extremely rare and tend to suck when they do happen.
